I had read about the tiger feeding experience and all of the other animals you can feed and hold, and that is right up our alley. Even after reading some of the negative reviews from animal rights activists, we decided to experience it for ourselves. It's about a 3-hour drive from us, so we booked a trip for the 4th of July weekend. When we made our reservation, Bill kept recommending that we stay in one of the cabins because of our young kids. We ended up choosing the treehouse instead, and honestly I'm glad we did. We had an amazing view of fireworks going off all around us along with an incredible lightning show that night. Driving in reminded me a lot of Texas Zoofari--you don't really know what to expect until you start seeing the signs and arrive at the property. Check-in was easy. They walked us to our treehouse, made sure everything worked, and answered any questions we had. We immediately turned on the A/C, unpacked, and walked around the park for a bit. Since it was so hot, we headed back to the treehouse to let it cool down while we took a nap. Once it finally cooled off, we grilled hot dogs and made s'mores on the propane grill while watching the tigers play below us. That alone made for a really fun evening. The Mega VIP experience was definitely worth it. We got to hold and interact with so many different animals. My girls were a little disappointed they didn't get to hold a monkey or lemur, but that's only because they've had that opportunity before at Canton Safari in Texas, so their expectations were a little high. The treehouse was a fun experience for one night. If we stayed longer, though, I'd probably choose one of the cabins simply because of the bathroom setup. A few suggestions that I think would make the experience even better: * The shared bathrooms could definitely use A/C. They were extremely humid, and daily attention to emptying the trash, refilling soap, cleaning the sinks, and sweeping/mopping would make a big difference. * During the summer, it would be nice if the A/C in the treehouses was turned on before guests arrived. We checked in around 2:00 p.m., and even after asking for a fan, it took over six hours before the treehouse became comfortable. * Adding a lighter to each cabin or treehouse would be helpful so guests can use the propane fire pit. We made do by using the grill. * I do think the tigers would benefit from a little more enrichment in their enclosures like you see at many accredited zoos. Other than that, every animal we saw appeared healthy, well cared for, and happy. A huge shoutout to Bill for making my daughter's birthday extra special by surprising her with a stuffed tiger. That simple act absolutely made her day and meant so much to us. Maggie, who is interning there, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and personable. She answered all of our questions and made the experience even better. The other three ladies working there were also incredibly kind and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Don't let the negative reviews keep you from forming your own opinion. If your family enjoys hands-on animal encounters and making unique memories, I definitely recommend giving this hidden gem a chance.

The owner was a really cool guy, offered us suggestions on where to check out on the remainder of our trip. Our tour guide was Emily. She was so knowledgeable and friendly. This was definitely a unique experience. We spent about 3 hours at the park, I do wish the gift shop portion had a few more offerings. They had a baby white lion who was so cute and a young black panther who was so playful. We really enjoyed interacting with NiNi the hyena. I truly enjoyed this experience.

May to June is the strawberry season here in the Sooner state and I've been waiting to go to pick…read moreyour own strawberries here since I stumbled across their page on FB last November! Growing up in Surrey, England, my parents always took us to all kinds of pick your own farms so this is a nostalgic activity for me. The husband has never been to anything like this but he is always game. As it turned out, the farm isn't very far from our abode! Make sure to follow them on facebook for available days for picking and opening hours, they are not open everyday. We went on a Tuesday and rechecked their facebook before leaving the house just to make sure they were going to open. The gates generally open at 4.30pm or a little earlier to prevent traffic build-up and road blockage in front of the farm. Regardless, picking begins at 5pm. We were there a little before 4.30pm but happily waited and enjoyed the scenery, fresh air, and observing the cows in the distant. Oh, the gorgeous Australian Shepherd at the farm also doubles as the hostess. She runs up to greet everybody that walked up to the strawberry patch. We also got to see her in action herding the cows. You'll be given a bucket to pick your strawberries, they are lined with a plastic bag which gets lifted out for weighing and then you just take that home, so there's no need to bring anything with you. And If I remember correctly the strawberries were $8 per lb. If your bucket is piled high with strawberries they will weigh around 5 lbs which you then pay just $7 for a pound. The husband doesn't like strawberries so I could only pick a couple of pounds. This is such a fun activity for all members of the family especially the little ones. If you haven't been to a You Pick farm, I highly recommend it!

I visited them this past weekend for their sunflower season. They had such a beautiful variety of…read moresunflowers, I was so excited to get to see the chocolate cherry sunflowers. You have to get there early in order to get the best blooms. A bit hard to get a lot of good pictures taken with the sunflowers in the backdrop. Workers were super friendly helping take pictures of you and explaining the process of how to make your own bouquet of flowers. It was $2 per stem. I enjoyed admiring the bees and butterflies that were flitting around the flowers.

We were the only ones except for maintenance workers cleaning each train. There was a whole lot more here than what I had expected! Super friendly workers throughout they let you roam and enjoy yourselves. They do have their very own parking lot which is nice and what I didn't realize is that they have a really nice play set for kids to play on right when you walk in... For the most part it is just have fun time and explore yourself there might be guided tours available I didn't see any going on. Several cabins your able to walk through and enjoy yourself. One thing I did learn is that they do offer a train available to rent for birthday parties for children which is a huge plus! They also offer Thomas the train rides end of September which is a huge hit if you have little ones! There are picnic benches also throughout if you wish to take a lunch and spend the afternoon exploring.

They have all the cars, locomotives of all types and sizes, and a 19th century depot with gift shop. You can walk in most cars, get on a few engines and at certain times they offer rides. Not a very long one but cool for the kidos. They have different themes for the holidays as well as Halloween. At Christmas they have the Polar Express with story telling, hot chocolate and visits from Santa. It's priced reasonably. Whether your a train buff, or into the history or just want to see the trains it's a great place. Check for hours of operation.

Weather was great. Intermittently indoors and warm for those scenes. Walking is brief stretches, generally level ground, mostly gravel path. Staff guides where to go and when to stop for next scene. Few times the sound system was effective or cast was not projecting well without a microphone, but overall able to hear dialogue in the scenes well. This was a fun evening and an enjoyable affordable way to experience this play. Highly recommend.

There was a few items that still needed to be properly set up. After we were met at the front desk a gentleman took us around to the lackluster exhibits. I can truly say this place is more of a joke then a museum. I am not sure how good it will be once I get this museum completed. They need to properly staff the museum with people know all about what is exhibited. I would not recommend this museum to anyone who wants a great experience. It was truly not properly set up or maned with a good staff that knew all about what was in this museum. Really not worth the money you have to pay.
