He put us in touch with an Alside branch manager (who FINALLY sent us a list of the serial numbers for our windows) and washed his hands of us. Ron didn't responded to my last email, just forwarded it to the Alside Rep. So while their work is fine, their customer service isn't.

I needed a shower torn out, a closet wall torn out, and then a new shower put in to the closet. Ben's price was *very* competitive. He started work soon after signing the contract and made consistent progress, finishing very quickly. He was willing to tack on several small projects I needed done in the bathroom as well for a modest additional charge. One thing I was struck by is that the bathroom was left in a cleaner state than it started in after every day of work-- even my crappy old sink was spotless when he left, when it was very stained to begin with! His team is awesome. And you can't argue with the results. The shower is beautiful, and is everything I wanted and more. Really gorgeous. Would highly recommend Ben. You won't find a better deal.

Summary of experience and…read moreissues: - Contract for remodel/renovation work consisted of 5 areas; contract signed & deposit paid beginning of March 2023; timeline for completion was quoted at 3-4 weeks; Was constantly told "we have 8 guys that are ready to work" - however, the majority of the time there were only 2 guys that ever showed up! (I think there were only 4 days where up to 4 guys came on site). - ran into additional areas/work that needed repair, with verbal estimates quoted and verbal approval to proceed; - invoices were submitted with request for payment, with continual promises the work would be done within a week's time. - Benjamin has NEVER met a promised deadline! - None of the work has been completed, with multiple promises of completion never met. - Very unethical billing and installation/completion practices; invoiced $4500 for a large water heater (80 gallon), including removal of old, build out of space for fitting new water heater, and what was installed was a 50 gallon, (about $800 total). Have tried to have this corrected (contacted Benjamin over 12 times with him always failing to correct); - it is now 5 months past and none of the work has been completed! every area is approximately 80-90% in progress, but zero areas have been completed. - Multiple contacts - email, voicemail, texts, have been now ignored; the last time I received contact was with Benjamin begging for money! Primary dissatisfied areas: - new carpet poorly installed, and also has paint spots on it; - new exterior doors, locks don't work correctly - new 6' window, doesn't open or close correctly - newly installed in wall heater never worked - water heater Bait and Switch! did not install what was promised, invoiced and paid! - Job site - always the messiest job site I have seen, and have/had to deal with dangers for elderly folks on site - critical water damage in newly installed bathroom flooring - incomplete work both listed and promised (too many areas to list here) - the finish work is very poorly done - cabinets not secured, no caulking, open spaces to outside elements never sealed, switch and outlet covers removed, either damaged, but never replaced; thresholds not completed - dangerous for elderly parents - including promised hand rails, steps, and ramps. I would never use or recommend Benjamin again, and will pursue whatever course of actions are available for the overcharges for paid invoices.
