Their outstanding care is attributed to a number of key factors. The essence of their successful delivery of services is they utilize a process care model. From end to end the focus is on providing consistent quality care, providing simple explanations for each individual task to the patient. We had a family member who had a severe cut due to a kitchen knife. It was very clear that this was a serious cut needing medical attention. We were concerned and started calling provider acute centers until we contacted NMFMC in Gurnee next to the Holiday Inn. Our regular provider (NSHS) was too busy and there were issues with the other acute care centers. We walked in and instead of waiting we got immediate attention. I also noticed that other people coming in also did not have to wait long if they also had serious issues. Even the chairs were more comfortable than other medical facilities. Because of the severity of the cut a number of medical care tasks were performed. It took a while. While waiting I walked up to one of the medical admens and asked how everything was going. The medical admen pulled a screen identifying and mentioning to me the particular patient care task our family member was expereincing and then telling me the next medical procedure that was performed and telling me how long I would have to wait. Having a healthcare IT background I was immediately impressed. This was the first time I had encountered process oriented patient care. To top it off the Dr A and the J shared some comic relief with our family member during the beginning of the patient - doc - nurse encounter. Laughter and happyness is a great pain deterrent, calming intial concerns. , My suggestion to anyone is even if Northwestern Medical is out of your network, when you have an immediate care need, drive the extra distance, spend a little more, and experience a great healthcare outcome! Northwestern Medical just might be a uncommon healthcare provider which has successfully converged the practices of healthcare, process, patient care, and empathy, generating great family - medical outcomes. If you're searching for a reliable primary care doctor near Libertyville or Gurnee, avoid Dr. Peter Puthenveetil at Greenleaf Medical Associates. He no longer prioritizes patient care--just Ozempic, Botox, and the cash flow. The medical staff is robotic, unhelpful, and disengaged. Communication is nonexistent, with exception of a termination letter from their practice. There's no real support or follow-through. It's a disorganized, reactive office that leaves patients chasing basic care. There is no longer any partnership in your health here--just profits over people. Stay far away.

I got through that thinking everything will be fine. By the time May of 1999, I was short of breath and my heart was racing and my legs were swollen. and I knew by then I needed to make an appointment. It progressively got worse. I decided to call Doctor Siddique who took over medical practice of Doctor Albert Behn who retired and was my Doctor for years. I drove my car to his office thinking I was not going to make it. I could barley make it from the car to his office without loosing my walking abilities. It was that bad. Doctor Siddique took one look at me and did not hesitate to have me lay on my back and immediately had an E K G test done. He quickly read it and said , you need to be taken by ambulance to the hospital right away. We have a serious problem here. After the arrival the hospital ran test after test and discovered my Lungs are 95 % blocked with blood clots. They rushed me into Critical Care and installed an I V with a heavy supply of heparin. Later than evening, it wasn't working. My condition had worsen and I could not rest. My heart was beating so fast it and enlarged the heart muscle. Doctor Siddique immediately ordered T P A, which is a clot buster given to Heart Attack patients. After injection the care nurse said, it is in God's hands now and sat with me the rest of the night. I knew then, I might not make it. The following morning a woke up and the nurse was by my side and said your awake and were going to an Echo cardiogram and see what the T P A has done. After tests, the results worked and I was on my way to recovery. When Doctor Siddique came in to see me, I grabbed his arm and thanked him and all the I. C. U staff for saving my life. I was so grateful that life was saved. Today I am on blood thinners everyday for the rest of my life. Since then I experienced two more blood clot attacks in 2000 and 2001 to the lungs and was hospitalized. It was decided to install a Vena Cava filter umbrella in my main artery. this would trap any blood clots that form in the legs and travel towards the heart so the blood thinner Coumadin can do its job by dissolving the Blood cot issue. That's it...nothing special whatsoever about his level of service. Expect Paul Tack to charge you exponentially more for checking your heart rate and asking you the same standard questions. Expect him to gaslight you to ensure you NEVER try to do any topical or oral hormone replacements because he wants to ensure you are indebted to him forever for injections. Expect him to upsell you at every visit with add on services of vitamin injections or IV's. I went to Paul Tack because I was desperate and needed help with my hormones. I was in an extreme amount of leg pain and my level of fatigue was overwhelming. I am certain I was not in the right frame of mind when I signed the small print stating there was a 30 days notice of cancellation clause. So once you realize that he is charging your insurance company AND charging a concierge fee AND when none of the charges he submits to insurance are covered (b/c they are concierge services) then he continues to charge you for services for 1 more month. Additionally, when I was in the room and he could visibly see me getting angry, he suddenly says he hears a heart murmur! He has literally been checking my heart every other week for the past 6 months and SUDDENLY a heart murmur! I went straight to a friend who is a doctor to have him check my heart....rings clear with no murmur within the hour of me leaving Paul Tack's office. This man should be banned from his profession. He is a liar and a fraud. He also loves to respond to his negative reviews with rebuttals that sound "professional" and make the client sound wrong. I highly encourage you to pay attention to the angry clients because he will scam you and hide behind his professional rhetoric. His fees are hidden and fraudulent.
