I browsed around and was obsessed with their beautiful murals, their typography they have around the restaurant and even their bathroom is a cool spot to spend a few minutes (ha). The margarita was on happy hour and definitely made me very happy! And their guacamole was on point! But as I went to leave I was informed about their best sales point of all -- their rooftop bar! I returned later that evening to hang out on their rooftop deck to enjoy a great live band, delicious cocktails and stare longingly at their BEAUTIFUL mural on the wall by @adamisaacjackson -- this ALONE is worth the trip. I can't wait to go back and El Conejo is a staple of the amazing vibe of Sayulita.

Everything was packaged well (lids taped on, sauce servings with lids, wrapped in cling film. The food was tasty. While I was not much more than 5 minutes back to the hotel, the egg rolls were soggy. The sweet and sour sauce for them was very good, great flavor and not overly thick. I asked for the curry to be hot, but not too hot, it was pretty mild. Definitely worth giving it a shot when you're looking to switch things up. Like most of PV, it was good and it was spendy (about 1,400 MXD for 2 mains, combination fried rice and 3 pork egg rolls + 1 lemonade).

Yang Chow fried rice, noodles, and pancit. The food here is delicious. The service was great and our server was friendly and knowledgeable. We had the Chicken Satay, Yang Chow fried rice, Singapore Chicken and Shrimp Pancit. Next time we're in PV, we'll stop by again.

Each morning, we enjoyed espressos before our walks.​ The food is outstanding. The steak was a highlight--perfectly cooked and flavorful. I tried the pesto salmon, and while the flavors were delightful, the salmon was slightly overcooked. The tempura was a standout--crispy, light, and not at all greasy. The bruschetta was also delicious. They have a huge menu and plenty to explore if you're staying for a while. Note: they are closed on Tuesdays! We were bummed about that, but happy to have had it one night during our stay!

At 8:00 I called our waiter over and politely asked if our entrees were near. I was assured they were. At 8:30, I caught his attention and asked (with much frustration) what was going on. At 8:45 (2.5 hours after ordering), I told him to cancel our entrees and bring the check. At 9:00 pm we received our food. I first told him to take it back, but then relented. THREE hours after arriving. It's not the miss, it's the response. No one seemed to care at any point. The GM or chef didn't show up with an apology. No entrees were comped. This also happened to us last Valentine's Day when they were swamped. I told them I would never be back and promptly cancelled our reservations for today, Valentine's Day 2026. We have friends visiting over the next months and have cancelled plans with them as well.

She recommended a seat at the sushi bar, and of course, we said "si"! Little did we know that we would be seated in front of head sushi chef, Yosuke, several hours later. We were in awe watching him prepare all kinds of sashimi, nigiri, maki and more... He also chatted it up with us and made us feel so welcome-- almost like guests in his home. What an honor! We also met Chef Name who we learned was a former sumo wrestler! Service was fabulous but the food was the star of the show... we enjoyed every bite we took ranging from salmon, yellowtail, soft shell crab, scallop, lobster, and tuna caught that same day. We were seated at the bar right in front of our chef and basically got an Omakase and great conversation as we enjoyed our anniversary dinner. Chef started with a presentation of all of the fresh fish, both flown in and locally caught. He then walked us through many courses including red snapper, blue fin, amberjack, uni, sea bass, hamachi, and more. No soy, no wasabi, just perfectly prepared bites brushed with nikiri. We finished off, we thought, with a bowl of house made ginger ice cream. After that was an anniversary surprise and a serenade by a mariachi band. What a night, ten stars.
