On one of the rare occasions that my family went to the Market! Market! and Serendra area with my vegan brother, we looked around for a vegan-friendly place. While ArAma only had a few people inside when we saw it, I was immediately drawn to the green logo with leaves - it seems vegan-friendly from looks alone.
And I was right - ArAma has many vegan-friendly choices, all of them organic. Of course they have free-range meat too, not just organic veggies.
We got the cassava chips with probiotic dip as an appetizer - crispy and not too salty, and the dip is good for digestion. Three of us ordered the vegan burger (the bun is a bagel!) with salad, I ordered the spinach ravioli, one ordered the tofu steak with mushrooms (looks like a Chinese dish), and one ordered a mango walnut salad with greens.
I love my ravioli - it's creamy and the spinach goes so well with the cheese and is not at all bitter. The pasta is perfectly al dente and the filling beautifully erupts in my mouth. I stole a bite of the vegan burger and it was also good - savory, like a burger normally would. The tofu steak was nice though it reminds me more of the Chinese dishes of tofu with oyster sauce.
Place is a bit pricey, with the cheaper meals like the burger at P250+, but the food is worth it. read more
