I have been waiting for her Yelp page to go up so I can give a review, hopefully this will show you…read morewhy you need to get your haircuts here! Stephanie, the owner, has been my barber for going on 5 years now. In those 5 years she moved locations about twice until she opened up this salon, The Blushing Dahlia. Every time, I have followed her for several reasons, here are just a few... 1) Great service - She has a spunky personality and always greets with a smile and friendly hello. She really tries to make sure you feel at home and you're not just 'getting a haircut.' The salon itself is a little small, but thats was makes it so nice. Its feels more like a home! It's clean, the couches are comfortable, and there are TVs available for your viewing pleasure (Netflix, Hulu, etc). She really goes above and beyond to make sure its enjoyable. Even if you show up a little early, she will make sure to acknowledge you, so you don't ever feel that 'do they know I'm here?" awkwardness we have all probably experienced. 2) Knowledge - She has been cutting hair for quite some time now and is very knowledgable in her field. She knows what hair styles compliment your face geometry and overall style. I'm not kidding when I say I asked her what hair cut would look best on me the first time I went to her - she quickly had a solution for me. Since then, I've been getting variations of the same cut. Curious about which products to use on your hair type? Ask! She uses and sells only the best quality hair products/tools that she knows work well, work safely, and that she trusts. Even if you don't care for anything fancy or expensive, she'll recommend something in your budget. She doesn't ever aggresively push products on you like some other places do... 3) Flexibility - I'm a fairly busy person and she has been incredibly flexible in making sure she can squeeze in my haircut every two weeks. If I have to miss one and reschedule she is understanding, but always transparent if she can't fit me in during my desired time. She takes her time to ask you when you are free and doesn't mind taking an extra minute or two to make sure you get an appointment that works for you, several if need be. Her appointment system also notifies you two days before if you have a haircut so you can confirm/reschedule your appointment if necessary. Overall, I've been very satisfied with Stephanie's haircuts. I know she has many other long time, satisfied customers and it's not surprising why. I can't speak on behalf of her other services (hair color, etc), but I'm sure they are just as top notch as her men's haircuts.

I've even walked out once from a particularly terrible experience. I was very hesitant to go in and even told Stacey that there was a strong possibility I would back out. I didn't and I'm so happy. I had loooong hair almost down to my waist and she cut it all off. Haha. I had sent her some photos for reference and she gave me exactly what I wanted. An A Line haircut with some length. My hair is so much lighter and easy to manage. I feel fantastic. I don't miss my long hair at all. She even cut my hair in a braid so I could take it home and donate it. She's great with conversation, she makes you feel super comfortable with everything she does and she's funny! Haha. I highly recommend Stacey. You won't regret letting her work her magic on your hair.

A CHANGE IN LIFE TURNED INTO FINDING SOMETHING GREAT:…read more A year ago I just began a new job and with my new schedule I had to find a new hairstylist. The question arose; who would be taking care of my locks? Fortunately the answer wasn't far away because my sister had been getting her hair done at Scissor Kicks Too by a fantastic woman she raved about named Annette. Once my sister started seeing her, my niece also began to go, soon followed by my brother-in-law and nephew. Their hair always looks great. I especially like my niece's hair because she is always choosing to do something different; whether it be changing her hair color or adding feather extensions, I look forward to see what creative things Annette can do. It seemed like going to Scissor Kicks Too to see Annette was becoming a family affair and I couldn't resist to try her out for myself. I most certainly was not disappointed because I found out that Annette is extremely knowledgeable about the profession. I continue to see her because she always explains and educates me about my hair type, face structure, the best way to style it, and sometimes even the best clothing to wear in order to maximize the beauty of my hair. It is nice because even if she would suggest something different, she listens to what I like and gives me exactly the look that I want. Scissor Kicks Too is a cute salon. The entrance to the parking lot is a bit of a squeeze, but there are always plenty of spaces to park in. The decor is stylish. They have complimentary coffee. The seats are comfy. I always feel relaxed here and recommend this place to anyone. So I'm happy that change came into my life because it led me to find a salon and a hair stylist that is truly as good as it gets.
