I go for the saltwater fish and they are all super well taken care of and the prices are reasonable. You really can't beat them for invertebrates and cleanup crew for a saltwater tank. The coral selection is massive ranging from smaller plugs to huge colonies big enough that they won't fit in my biocube 32. Definitely worth checking out if you are around lawrenceburg, better than anything left in Lexington by far.

I have had a lot of difficulty finding many species that I've been wanting to stock my tank with, especially plants, and wanted to give this place a shot! The owners were very helpful, and explained to me the situation involving being let into the building stating they are both immunocompromised, so I understand where they are coming from. It doesn't hurt to call to let them know you'd like to stop in, next time I will wear a mask! Despite a lot of reviews about smell and uncleanliness (from circa over 5 years ago), I did not see or smell any such issue, and I am a bit of a clean freak in terms of smells associated with pets.

That's what the people that own animal house are like. When you first walk in, you're greeted by an overwhelming animal stench, and a friendly enough face. I will be honest. I groomed at animal house for about two months. The first day that I was there, the lady owner literally screamed at the dog. I've worked at other pet stores, and this one was one of the worst for knowledge about animals. Several times I found myself educating the owners of this establishment about the animals they "care for". The only reason I would personally purchase anything from animal house is for feeder mice and rats because of PetSmarts policy about not selling live feeders. I don't recommend this place.
