The blonde-haired lady who's in the Grooming department is super rude! She really needs to learn how to talk to people.

Came in there to buy a Turtle. Was told I could not take one home unless I left there with a $219.00 dollar tank even tho I have what the turtle would need at home. . I even went as far to showed him the new set up I have on the way but still was not good enough. Like dude your job is to sell the pets. Do you get some kind of commission if you make sure to sell the tank with the animal?? Was you having a fit bc i would not buy what you wanted. Andrew was the name said he was a manager. I bet he wouldn't have even let me walk out with a fish. I have never experienced this kind of disrespect buying a pet. We own a bearded dragon and they sent him home in a cardboard box almost 5 years ago. Get real my dude. read more

Me and my man took Solomon our little maltipoo to Petsmart to get groomed on a Wednesday. When I came back to pick him up I was super adored of how they groomed him. They took such good care of him and made him look like a little show dog lol. The groomers there were so nice, also they loved grooming Solomon. He looked so cute, one of the groomers posted him on her Facebook lol! I highly recommend Petsmart for anyone's dog. read more

Would never recommend this place worst place in the whole Richmond the service is terrible, had the employees cussing and yelling at me ,mangers too ,terrible people here just the worst I have ever seen, they beat the animals and don't feed fish leave all dead fish just sitting there they simply just don't care. The Petsmart Richmond Grooming department does not listen to the owner's requests. They are rude and grossly overcharge. We will not be doing business there in the future. Customer service is a joke. They fill out all kinds of forms and then do nothing. read more

After watching the most recent PetSmart commercial I have to say that PetSmart hit the nail on the head, at this location in particular. It seems everyone in the store remembers Penske every time we come in, which is just about every week. This past weekend we went in on Sunday and Penske needed a bath. He found the mud hole at the Lake Reba dog park, and because it was chilly, a lake swim to rinse off was out of the question. Erica in grooming got him super clean, trimmed his daggers back into nails, and gave him a little Halloween bandana with pumpkins, which he will not allow to be removed. Brianna in the main store also came over to say hello and shower Penske with love, asking if we needed any assistance. Of course, Penske knows the store and herds me down the aisles he needs. It truly is a lifetime commitment from the staff that I feel when I walk in this location, and Penske feels it too. Thanks to the entire staff who gives me the most valuable time for the money with my little dude. read more

This place is a joke. I don't think I will ever be back. I stood at the cash register for 5 minutes waiting for a cashier to check me out and not a one in site. Made an appointment for my toy poodle. It was a month before they could see her. I told them that she had matting. They didn't have a problem with it. I drove 40 to the appointment where some girl told me she has matting on her ear we won't do her. They said I should take her to a vet or another groomer. So I got in my car, called her vet, who said I just saw her she's no bad and if they can't groom her then I'm really better off not trusting them with my dog. Took my dog Tiberius today for a Bath and Furminator and they done a WONDERFUL job! He's come back soooo happy and they left a note saying how he was their favorite dog. They loved him so much they gave him a teeth brushing for free! I highly recommend anyone who is thinking about taking their pets here to be groomed to do so! You won't regret it! read more

I scheduled a grooming appointment for my dog and received a call the day before the appointment that they were having trouble with the system and appointments had been double booked so they could no longer take my dog and were full until June (2 months). A week later I called to see about appointments and was able to get one. I received a confirmation call the day before but 30 minutes before they called to cancel because the groomer called in sick. The manager only said they couldn't reschedule for today but didn't offer to reschedule for another day or anything else to make up for the inconveniences. I will never use this PetSmart again. read more

PetSmart is one of my favorite places to shop for all my fur kids! They have a great selection and good prices and if you are smart and take advantage of their coupons/sales you can save quite a bit. I love being able to take my dog shopping with me, and I enjoy the friendly, relaxed environment. I also love the seasonal decor and the frequently updated displays. NEVER take your dog to Pet Smart for grooming. They took nearly three hours to groom my tiny dog, when there was only one other dog present. When they were finally done and I got her to the car --- she was BLEEDING. On top of it all the customer service the push to upcharge me on everything --- It was UNBELIEVABLE. I will NEVER again and you should NEVER ever trust them with your pet. read more

First I want to start by saying I bought a laser pointer to play with my kitten with, and it fell to pieces when I went to put the batteries in. I go back the following weekend after spending almost a hundred dollars in merchandise the weekend prior. I was looking for cat claw caps. I walked around the store and seen an employee in the fish department actually helping customers. I wen to the front and ask the lady at the register to have somebody come assist me in isle 5, the cat isle. I stood and waited for 30 minutes nobody came. As I was leaving I stopped by the front office and seen this female employee, she literally looked the other way and went in a room. I reported the problem to the manager. But he didn't seem to have the guts to make his employees work, so he had to come help me and I felt rushed the whole time. So I give one start for cheap made products but expensive to purchase and their customer service was awful! read more

After a long 9-5 on 2/17/2014, got home and took my boston terrier, "Dog1" to PetSmart in Richmond, KY for a quick nail trim. Showed up and the lady refused to cut Dog1's nails on the basis that her rabies vaccination was slightly out of date. I knew this was absurd so I went home, grabbed an older shot record by mistake, came back, and no luck. The irritating thing is that my other boston, Dog2, was up to date by the groomer's own admission. And therefore so too was Dog1 because we take them for annual check ups at the exact same time. But because someone entered Dog1's vaccination date incorrectly and I couldn't find my most recent shot record, I was just out of luck after two trips in the rain while trying to get a lousy nail trim. They do a decent job and are open later, but when there is an issue with your dogs' records, you have ZERO warning before you show up (if it's for a walk-in service like a nail trim) and then you have to meet their demands in order to give them your money. Ended up buying a nail trimmer and file for $15. Will just keep my $11.00 x 2 that I used to spend every 4-6 weeks with the grooming dept. read more
