James, the project manager, kept things moving, listened and stayed in touch throughout. And Oscar--the guy who actually did the pavers was very responsive and made a beautiful pathway! There were a couple parts that had to be redone, but they owned it and made sure everything got fixed properly. After walking around the yard to look over the project and later, sending my drawing of what I was looking for in greater detail he came back with an estimate. Glad to say I was sitting down when I saw it. After talking with the wife we decided to scale back the project to just the patio, but have I.L.D. supply us with enough Flagstone for us to do the pathways on our own as time and energy permit. We did custom remodeling work for 14 years since my forced retirement in 2003, but decided to completely retire in 2018, so the budget was a major concern. David's revised estimate was still more than we expected, but knowing the amount of labor involved, we agreed on the price. David's crew was able to start on our place the following Tuesday and completed the job by the next Monday after that. I was happy with the professionalism his crew displayed and the attention to details that made a difference in the end product. I was impressed with the stone-work, and the respect shown to our property by all the workers. The crew supervisor did suggest a change to the job after digging out for the stonework, that increased the total area. We really wanted some privacy and to level the yard for playing. All while managing any drainage issues that could arise. Jerry drew up a full master design, and we were blown away with the creativity and consideration he obviously put into it. From there, we started narrowing the project to fit into our budget. The scope of work included a full front and back yard renovation including new sod, a patio addition, pergola, lighting, irrigation and drainage, outdoor kitchen, and all new plants/stone borders.
