Sean did an exceptional job installing a new sprinkler and drip line system, flagstones on either side of my driveway, new sod in my front yard, and a beautiful garden of native flowering plants for my side yard. I live on a corner and the side yard is a huge space that was nothing but an unsightly mass of dirt and weeds before. Now, I have an area that looks like my own botanical garden, and my neighbors can't stop raving about how wonderful it is. The butterflies and bumblebees also love it, and one plant or another has continued to flower well into January. What started off as small plants in June had blossomed into massive, flowering bushes by September. I can't say enough about the great job he did or how happy I am with the results. Selected because of high yelp ratings. Not sure who was giving the ratings. Very delayed in working on project. One artificial turf area didn't not have ground smoothed so there are small mounds that really show in times of late afternoon sun. The other has a seam placement showing in the middle of the area focal point - very much an eyesore for me. At least the area is finally green like grass. read more

In fact, I liked his work so much, I asked him to help me give some love to my sad looking front yarlandscaping when replacing the sod damaged by the construction equipment. My project turned out better than I could have imagined. Shaun is truly an artist, problem solver, and highly skilled. Problems we needed fixed: shady front yard with landscaping requiring sun, severe flooding around the foundation of the house and backyard, ugly and unused side yard. Our needs: drought resistence, native TX plants, creative and attractive solutions to flooding, low maintenance, reclaim side yard for entertaining use, butterflies and hummingbirds. Result: Wow! Watch the value of my house go up!! I didn't know zeroscape could be so green, lush, and colorful. He installed 2 different rain gardens as a flood solution. Today is the day after the job was complete, and we saw heavy rain...it worked and looked beautiful. The reclaimed sideyard is an oasis of limestone flagstone entertaining space, surrounded by hand picked plantings. The fence Shaun designed is unique, beautiful, lets air in yet provides the right level of privacy. His gates will never sag. Did I mention the flagstone and rock pathways and front yard patio? Gorgeous. The pathways weren't just thrown down. Attention to the design and color of each stone is evident. We also asked him to add flagstone to the exist cement front yard walkway and the porch it leads to. I don't know how he did it, but there is no trip hazard from the city sidewalk and our new flagstone walkway. The walkway leads up to the porch and is wheelchair accessible. I never would have though of that, or that is was possible. Process: I told Shaun our ideas, and he took the time to ask questions that helped him come up with a design that was cost effective and met our needs. Every part of the job was done correctly, with craftsmanship, and artistry. His crew shows up. YES, they show up everyday, on time, and stay until quitting time. His crew is friendly, courteous, and I'm going to miss them now they are finished. We got 4 quotes before hiring Shaun. One guy didn't bother to respond back, the job was too complicated. The other 2 quotes were higher $ and didn't include as much work, nor knowlege of plants, raingardens, butterfly and hummingbird gardens. I highly recommend Davis GardenCraft! For our landscaping project I called out 4 different landscapers for quotes and Davis GardenCraft was our top choice for several reasons. The first reason was that our friend used this company and he recommended it to us. The second was that Sean clearly had way more plant knowledge than the other landscapers. And the third reason was, he was fairly priced and respectful of our budget. Sean has now completed our landscaping project and our yard went from the ugliest one in the neighborhood... (you know that one), to something very beautiful! Sean clearly cares deeply about his work and takes pride in doing the job right. He is courteous and wonderful to talk to and detail-oriented. I felt like he thoughtfully took care of our yard like it was his own, not just trying to finish to collect money.
