I always had a stronger nexus with non-human beings after visiting here even though I never wanted hardly any of them as pets. I brought my young daughters with me on August 23, 2023. This place hasn't really changed one bit. Their fish are mostly healthy looking at affordable prices. They sell freshwater and saltwater fish and other creatures. They still have a room dedicated to birds - namely parakeets, cockatiels, and finches. Another separate room for reptiles, arthropods & arachnid species also still exists. At the front entrance their "furball" critters take precedence... rabbits, hamsters, ferrets, and hedgehogs. I loved their baby tortoises - so darn cute! They seem to sell out quickly of axolotls and ferrets and a few other more rare animals. All of the supplies you would need are sold here too. I know several folks who come here for mice for their snakes and crickets for their frogs and bearded dragons. The owners are super friendly & ready to assist you. I'm hoping my daughters will continue to do well in school and such so they may earn the privilege of taking one of these critters home one day... The only thing I would change about this place is the outside is quite demure and boring. It doesn't match what's on the inside at all or the personalities of the owners. I dont keep freshwater tanks so i cant comment on the health of the animals. The saltwater side of the store looked worse off than the fresh side. The tanks that normally keep fish had a few basic fish in them, a lot were empty. The tank in the center of the store had a few small basic corals but also had a very sick clown swimming in it. Any coral that would be sold from it would spread the disease to other fish at home. The product selection was very lacking. One small wall maybe 8 feet by 8 feet had products. When asked if they could custom order a product from a brand already carried in the store i was quoted a higher price than in 300 miles in any direction from the store, including Lubbock, Hobbs, El Paso, San Angelo and parts of San Antonio. Live stock selection 1.5/5 Live stock health 2.0/5 Product selection 1.0/5 Customer service 1.5/5 Hours 4/5 Location 4/5 easily accessed once you find it. Parking 5/5 Probability of returning 15%, I have no reason to return. No fish, coral or product selection, there are much better options than AT.

It's primarily a feed store for livestock and pets. There wasn't anyone around on 3/4/2024 when I walked in the feed sack area which is fairly substantial. No pricing on anything that I noticed. But they had baby chicks in! Also, they had green onions for planting that looked pretty good. I highly suggest you checkout the community board that's hung outside of the "main entrance." They have phone numbers and other info posted for things like border collie puppies, bales of hay, and horse shoe services for sale. Their hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-5:30PM with a lunch break from 12-1. Saturday 8:00AM-noon. Closed on Sunday. Check them out just south of Hobbs on the Eunice Highway.
