Parents take notice. My son was enrolled at aqua kids in flower mound and loved it, up until he told us that one of the instructors told him that he would die if he did not shut up and listen. This happened back in September and we notified Annah about the incident and nothing was addressed. Ever since then, my son has fears about going to AquaKids saying that he did not want to die there. It's frustrating that a place like this would allow things like this to happen. We tried for several months getting him to go, keeping him enrolled hoping he would go. It takes at least six months for a child to go up to the next level. You have to spend almost $600 for one level (Level 1 through level 8) and it becomes very expensive. It's better to wait until the child is older to get a short-term private lessons from somewhere else, then you will see much better results with much less cost. That's why we drop the classes. Also if the child is no longer enrolled, the child can no longer use all makeup classes. It is like you give out the money spent on those makeup classes to the swimming school for free. That could be hundreds of dollars. read more

We started our kids in lessons at AquaKids when they were 2 and 4. They both have been through three sessions over the span of a year. The results have been outstanding. Swimming lessons are all that AquaKids does, and they take it very seriously. Their classes range from toddler to kids old enough to participate on swim teams. The have very specific and obviously proven methods for teaching swimming. I've seen them not only work for my kids but with kids who have come in with a fear of water. After each of the sessions are completed, we have seen marked improvement in both the kids' ability to swim and their confidence in and around the water. My wife and I have been nothing but pleased with the results and recommend them highly. I'd make this a 5 star review, but since we haven't used another teaching facility I'll reserve a star for lack of comparison. read more

Facilities are not clean, no WiFi in the waiting room for parents. Staff are untrained teenagers that literally don't care to be there. I would not recommend using AquaKids. This is in regards to the Cross Timbers Road Location. There is usually massive amounts of water on the floors of the waiting room. Their socially distanced chairs makes it extremely hard to watch my daughter swim. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place!! I have all 3 of my children taking lessons, ranging from ages 3-7, and they all get so excited coming every week! Ms. Jenna was my first point of contact and she's simply amazing! She is the face of the company and the go to for everything when you have any concerns. Mr. Zach, my daughters favorite teacher is amazing as well! He's kind, very encouraging and just a cool instructor! Its only been under 10 lessons and she's already learning to swim! My 4 year old child who has Autism, has private lessons and his teacher Ms. Christian works so well with him. I can tell (as moms can) that he adores her and she makes requests very simple and easy to understand, he follows her instructions so well and she is so patient with him. Its nice to have a teacher who just gets him and knows where he is and works with his level of understanding. Literally from the front desk to the pool everyone is genuinely so pleasant and makes you feel so comfortable. I am so surprised at how fast my kids are learning to swim, all the teachers are so patient but also challenge them to go beyond their comforts. Beware that Aquakids makes you create an account to look at swim schedules and slips in whatever terms not when booking a party but to create an account. My account was created over a year ago when I was looking at swim lessons for my kids. The birthday was booked in August and there were no terms about cancelling a party. Your post proves the point of poor customer service and stealing money that wasn't earned. Don't create an account or give these people any hard earned money because they are only looking for a quick way to make a buck without doing anything to earn it. read more

If you can afford it, send you kids here. AquaKids had great instructors and facilities. The water is also warmer than WinKids. My kid is very enthusiastic about each lesson and is progressing very fast. read more

My grandbaby has Autism and my daughter checked around for some places that work with kids with disabilities. She saw this place listed and contacted them. My daughter was very happy with the 1st ( free ) and 2 nd lesson. She asked me to help out and take A. to her 3rd lesson and I was very pleased with the instruction and the teacher. The teacher ( Cameron) worked very patiently with her and A responded very well to instruction. From sitting in the big glass partitioned wall observing lessons, all of the teachers and staff were observant with their students. My guess is that the lessons will go equally as well. My kids 8&5 started a month back. We glad we put our kids in here. All instructor are amazing. It's 3:1 ratio. Manager Annah is amazing she welcome everyone with smile and always has enthu in talking. Amazing person. We love this place & kids love to go each day. It's easy to sign up fr missed lessons and also rescheduling classes. Only one thing I would add up is the Swimsuit Water Extractor .so we can drain extra water from swim suit. Great swim school. My sons 3 & 4 are in their second semesters at AquaKids and love it. Not only are they learning a lot and making amazing progress they look forward to going! Every instructor they have had has been very kind and truly teaches them, even if that means having them redo something to get the form correct. After each class I get feedback from the teacher about progress and things that we can work on. Also midway through the semester they will give you their recommendations on what class they would go to for the next session, should you choose to continue but I have never felt any pressure from the staff or that they were trying to "sell" me on anything. Worst staff ever. My daughter almost drowned there on the first day of her swim lesson due to teacher looking away to hold a conversation with a parent who did not have a child in the class. Will tell this story over and over again because Aqua Kids made no attempt to make this right. Will never recommend this place or give it praise. Manager was not even on site on this day - she was home in The Colony and after seeing hysterical parents upon her arrival 45 mins later, the only thing she offered was our money back. No apology. I tried to contact the owner on 3 occasions and have yet to hear something back. Epic fail and its a shame so many parents trust their child's care to this staff. read more

I loved this place! Such a kid friendly place and we weren't rushed when having a party there for my 2 year old son. Super big for all the stuff that we had, the two people there helped us set up. We just finished our 2nd class. Our daughter loves it! The first class is free which is great so you can see exactly what the kids learn. My LO is 18 months so she is learning the basics. Going under water, balance, wall climb, wall crawl and working the pool stairs. After each class the teachers provide a report that you can review at the next class. Teacher is great and all the kids have a lot of fun! Facility is very clean. They have showers for after the pool and changing rooms, along with lotion and a blow dryer and dryer to dry off your suits. read more

My daughter had a whole summer Iof swim lessons through the city parks & rec department and could barely float, plus was afraid to go in water any deeper than 3 ft. After just one round of lessons (a couple of months worth)at Aquakids (recommended by a friend), she skipped the next level and could actually SWIM! We're now about to start our third session and she can swim the length of the pool like a champ. They know what they are doing here. The price seems a little steep, but when you average it out over the length of the session, it's pretty reasonable and you're not wasting your money. read more

Had my daughter's 8th birthday party here. It was so awesome. They were so good with the girls. Such a good price for what you get. The first hour and 15 minutes was spent in the pool, after that they dried off and ate, then had cake. What was also nice is the fact then you are the only ones there. I've been taking my children, now 2 and a half and 4 and a half here since they were less than a year old. We've done the mom and baby swim classes and the classes where my girls have been in the water themselves. Both of my girls love their swim classes, are confident in the water and adore their teachers. It is a joy to see my children become strong swimmers through the excellent and supportive instruction. I had some issues with the first lesson that we went to, but the manager was super nice and has agreed to work with us so that our son gets the help that he needs to overcome some of his fears. My 2.5 year old son and I had the best experience at Aqua Kids. He took the Water Tots 1 class and Mr. Andrew was his teacher. I was amazed at how much he learned in such a short amount of time. He is a great swimmer, learned how to get out of the pool, float on his back, and more! They made each lesson fun and did a great job with discipline. This weekend the entire pool was watching my little guy swim and jump in the pool! People kept coming up to us saying they couldn't believe what a great swimmer he is! And on top of that I know he learned water safety too! I couldn't say enough about our great experience. We even continued to the next class because we loved it so much! read more

After regressing in her progress over the past year or so (due to poor instructors at WinKids), we switched my daughter just a few weeks back. In that time, she has made amazing progress with her new teacher. As with everything, do your research and focus on getting a teacher that will be there long enough for your child to learn the swim without fear. For us, so far, so good. read more

We switched from Winkids to Aquakids after 3 years of swim instruction (counting the mommy & me classes so I don't know if that is a fair comparison) and my son not learning anything. What I prefer about Aquakids is they have many more times/dates available for lessons and they have a structured lesson plan. I think the teacher to student ratios are roughly the same, but at Aquakids each class maxes out at 4 students. When you have a child who has a hard time sitting still, this helps because there are less kids to distract him and the teachers. They also have a choice of weekly classes or two week intensive "camps." The thing with Aquakids is your experience and results will depend greatly on the teacher you have. Since we work, we are very limited on the time slots we can sign up for, and are sort of stuck with whoever they decide to put as the instructor in a particular class at a particular level. Of the regular classes he has taken, one of his teachers was fantastic, two were average, and one I felt like didn't like my son or small children in general. I will say that the bad part about the lesson plan structure is that some of the teachers aren't willing to deviate from the lesson plan at all if they have a child who is falling behind or may not learn a certain way. My son isn't athletically inclined, and it felt like several of his teachers would basically give up on him 2/3 of the way through class. I made a comment to one of his teachers about it and her response was that they are limited in what they can do by the lesson plan. All that said, when I contacted the manager about options since my son had been at the same level for a year (and was getting close to learning all the required skills to progress), he was willing to work with us to get him a couple of private lessons to get our son to the next level. I was very appreciative of that and the instructor he had for those was also fantastic. Overall, we have been happy with our experience here and our son has definitely been progressing. read more

We were very dissapointed in the keller facility. we rented it for 2 hours for a MEMORABLE 5th year birthday party and found it staffed with young adults who for the most part yelled at the children while they were in the pool like they were supposed to KNOW the rules with no use of patience,instead of enlightening the parents of the rules. ANGRY parents is not what you want when it involves their babies and the goal is to have a little swim time with presents and a birthday cake with family and friends some who drove from denton to wish a very sweet and deserving little boy a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!. IM afraid this type of party should be banned at your facility and just stick to what you do best teaching kids to swim,the rooms were way too small and no structure of any type was used by the staff to guide the parents in helping the staff to keep the kids safe.More signs are needed to post rules and conduct since i was scolded when i walked into the party room wet i never seen any signs stating do not enter wet . i will discourage ALL not to use you for parties period.i hate to say It was an awful experience !
