Small store, but a nice selection of fish and aquatics. Very polite and knowledgeable staff.

I really enjoyed this family visit to the aquarium. A little cheesy, but cute. Lots of big and well-lit, clean aquariums for my little girl to get up close and personal and look and learn. I loved the Doctor fish area where you can basically get a fish manicure - I've never done anything like that before and it was sooooo cool! The second floor is more interactive with the touching stations for jellyfish, feed and pet the stingrays and more. I loved the small toddler play area for my daughter and the interactive water station. They also have different pets and shows at different times all day long where you can learn about all sorts of things - while we were there it was a leopard gecko which was so cute! It's not very big - but, they make good use of the space they have and it's located in the beautiful Union Station area with dining and other things to do nearby with plenty of paid parking. There is the St Louis Farris Wheel, a soda fountain, and carousel as well as a train. You can buy a pass for the adventure ropes course up above and the selfie museum as a package to save some money. We didn't this time, but I do want to come back to the selfie museum in the future - it's only $10 per person and looks cute and fun.

Geographically, it's in a fantastic spot just off the local bike trails. However, the indoor setup creates a bit of a psychological conflict; for many, including me, Tropical Sno is the quintessential summer treat meant to be enjoyed outside on a hot day. While the indoor space offers pristine cleanliness, crisp air conditioning, and the benefit of year-round service, it lacks that classic, nostalgic summer atmosphere. There are only two 2-person tables outdoors (plus a couple more indoors), which feels limiting. Luckily, since the neighboring Chicken Salad Chick wasn't open during our visit, we were able to utilize their outdoor seating to get that open-air experience. So, pros and cons. The menu offers an extensive selection, relative to Tropical Sno-only locations, which means there is more to interest everyone. Our party of 4 ordered three snow cones and a blended coffee. Initially, the coffee was missing the distinct punch of its flavoring. When I mentioned it, the staff was incredibly nice and helpful; they assured me the flavor was in there but immediately offered to remake it entirely, recommending a fresh pour over just pumping in extra syrup. Made with real espresso, the remade version was excellent. The shaved ice treats were reportedly excellent, as is typical of Tropical Sno! While the year-round indoor nature takes away a bit of the "special seasonal magic" that drives frequent repeat visits, the stellar service and variety make it worth a stop, especially for teens and kids. Pro Tip: If you are ordering one of their blended coffees, ask for a little extra flavoring to really let it shine against the real espresso. Also, if the limited outdoor seating is full, look to the neighboring patios if timing permits! The Breakdown: Food/Drink Quality: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Vibe/Atmosphere: 2/5

I enjoyed that they all came with a plastic piece to save pieces from dropping on the ground. This is the place to go if you are looking for some great tropical sno!
