Really cool inexpensive ride. We took our four year old on a quick boat ride to shoreline drive. Coming was great! The boat wasn't packed. Super clean. Everyone was really nice . They have snacks available for purchase and we got to see the queen mary. Leaving was different. We were delayed because the crew had to take lunch. The departure time was3:45 we waited like an hour in the heat. Sun scorching us. I recommend the ride but I really wish they'd get the timing together. The sun completely burned us . We'll absolutely be returning but we'll plan differently

What a great deal for a boat ride. $5 to go on a boat from Ballast Point to the aquarium, and if it weren't for their lunch break we could have also gone to the Queen Mary. Easy and convenient and something different. We chose the front of the boat and we got wet. So if you don't want to get wet don't sit in the front. Drinks available as well in board. We did not partake in beverages. *water taxi $5 water bus $1* Cash is best

We took Aqua Link out of Alamitos Bay Marina, the water taxi takes you to Aquarium of the Pacific, then to the Queen Mary and finally back to the Alamitos. The cost is $10 round trip. CASH ONLY!! The boat holds 65 passengers. The round trip is about an hour, depending how many people are exiting and boarding the boat. There is outdoor and indoor seating.it was a smooth pleasant ride .get there early ifyou want outdoor seatiing . It fills up quickly.if you sit up in the front , expect to get wet.Thete are many shops and restaurants to see at the stops.Good for wheelchairs and strollers. ADA friendly. Good for kids. Definitely worth the wait and trip.

Always a great time! About 30 mins each way. Grab a bite at Boathouse or Ballast Point. $5 each way

Had an amazing day on the water taxi only down side is only on the summer we went the last weekend and was really ling waiting to get on board

Such a fun little outing/boat ride. My friend and I first went on this 4 years ago with our kids. We went again this week (minus the kids). It's only $5 bucks to ride and takes about 25 minutes from The Boathouse dock to the dock by Chili's. Such beautiful views of the water and harbor. Snacks and beverages are sold on the boat. Check it out this summer!!

Aqualink is a water taxi in Long Beach that takes you from Shoreline Village to Alamitos Bay and vice versa. It's $5 per person, and the ride takes about 30 minutes from the west to the east side of Long Beach. Maximum capacity is 70. Make sure to check their schedule for the arrival and departure. It's a fun and cheap excursion of getting out in the water. Sometimes, you need to feel the breeze to refresh your mind. The boat travels around the three artificial oilfield islands within the channel. They sell refreshments, including beer, and restrooms are available inside.

This was a really fun child adventure. We docked right next to Ballist Point, it took us to the lighthouse and then to queen mary. The trip was $5 per person and total travel time, round trip, was 2 hours. They have two different boats going at the same time so check the website for boarding times. They have a nice snack bar with alcohol. Highly recommend taking your child on this adventure One star is removed because one of the boats smelled like the septic tank inside and gave us a headache.

If you are in the area the Aqua Link is a fun, little boat ride for $5 one-way. It's a great activity for family and kids. Snacks and refreshments are available for purchase on the taxi. They also serve beer and cocktails. It's a 65 person max. If you go on the weekend, I recommend checking the dock times on their website and getting there a little early, as the taxi is on schedule.

Getting a refund has been difficult. I've made many attempts to get a hold of someone at the business and via email. No one picks up the phone and I've not received a reply to my email. When a company cancels a service, issuing a prompt refund should be straightforward. Unfortunately, that isn't the case here, and it's created unnecessary stress. I would recommend being cautious when booking and confirming their refund policy ahead of time. Hopefully they improve their customer service and how they handle cancellations in the future.

And they're phasing out their most powerful boat, the 75hp, because of too much abuse and the associated high insurance costs. But they still offer the 40hp boat and that has plenty of power, with a top speed of about 20 knots. It comfortably seats 4 people in designated seats, but can fit an extra two people sitting up front sideways on bench seating. I had a great time. I saw seals sunbathing on the buoys, and I even saw dolphins near the first oil rig island by the Queen Mary ship. Of course you can also get a nice close-up view of the Queen Mary itself. Oh man I never published this review.. this is from our booking on Nov 26, 2025…read more. Fantastic experience from start to finish! Decided to surprise my wife with a relaxing duffy boat ride for our wedding anniversary with some friends. Went straight to Yelp to do my research (thanks Yelp!). Originally, I was going to book with a rental company for Newport Harbor, but then came across a Groupon for PCH Electric Boats. After checking out their website and reading the glowing reviews on Yelp, I immediately booked. I called to book a white duffy boat on the day before Thanksgiving. The person on the phone was friendly, courteous and really easy-going. They asked if I had a Groupon and if I could provide the voucher number. BOOM. done. all set! I received an email with VERY DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS (including photos) of where to park and where the meeting area was. Additionally, a link to the waiver form that every passenger is required to fill out (even your babies) was included in that email. On the day of our booking, we were met by the owner Grant who I'm pretty sure was the same friendly, courteous and easy-going person I talked to on the phone days earlier when I booked. He provided specific instructions on where we're allowed to go and what to avoid. He saw we had several small children in our party and recommended everyone use the restroom nearby before boarding since there is not place to stop out in the harbor. After we came back from our potty break, Grant lead us down to the dock and got all the kiddos fitted for their life vests (all in great condition btw). He assisted us with our bags so we could focus on boarding the kids safely and even took a group photo for us! The boat was clean and easy to drive. The sound system was bumping and all the windows easily lifted up for that nice harbor breeze. It was a beautiful and memorable day. On our return, Grant was at the dock with one of his employees ready to receive us. He guided us in smoothly and as we were gathering our belongings and cleaning up, he helped all the kids out and grabbed our bags. We handed Grant a tip and immediately he passed it over to his employee who was going to do the post-ride cleaning.. what a great boss!!!! Definitely will be booking with PCH Electric Boats again!
