They also had alcoholic samples to try with being able to purchase the drinks right there and some free prizes to win around the festival. I got a strawberry lemonade as well as some potato chip stack with garlic parm as a little snack for the day. I brought my sis with as my plus one for winning the tickets and we enjoyed the day with live music and dancing. We were able to bring in chairs so we found a good spot in GA area to watch the performs. My fav of the night was Maren Morris and Tim McGraw. They also did a drone show in the sky at night before bringing out Tim. It was a fun filled but long day down in Long Beach at the festival but we made every minute count.

The action is up and down, but when the mackerels and bonito are active, this pier gets packed with people trying to get a share. Most days of the year, it's a relaxing spot to fish for a variety of species. There is also no need for a fishing license when fishing on public piers. The cleanliness of the pier has been okay lately. Sometimes there's an unpleasant odor, trash on the ground, old bait, and other debris on the railing. An overall renovation is highly needed. This pier is also shorter than the piers in Seal Beach and Huntington Beach, but it is still a good place to walk and relax. The restaurant at the end of the pier, Buoy's on the Pier, has been closed for years. However, there is a small snack shop at the pier entrance. There are a few bathrooms available on the pier, along with a couple of sinks. A paid parking lot is available and open 1 hour before sunrise, closing at midnight. The lot is relatively clean and well-lit. Payments through self-serve kiosks or the Passport parking mobile app, with hourly charge rates. Vehicles with disabled placards are exempt from fees.

We also walked the pier, and I was surprised by how long it is - definitely one of the longest piers I've walked on! The views were beautiful the entire way. If you're looking for a laid-back beach day with cute local businesses and a welcoming atmosphere, Seal Beach is absolutely worth the visit!

I wanted to check out Broken Spirits which is right next to the 2 hour free parking garage. Parking is by Long Beach Blvd with entrances on 3rd and 4th street. The promenade itself is a 4 block pedestrian walkway full of gorgeous murals, pleasant landscaping, and an odd QR code enabled toilet. It's interesting and fun to walk. You can get some great views of historic architecture such as the Middough Building. Sad part is on a Saturday it felt like I was in an apocalypse movie. Nobody anywhere. Was a total ghost town. Restaurant we ate at was great but totally empty. Was odd. I assume night time might be busier? I will definitely be back for Broken Spirits and curious to see what else is around.

Located in a charming area of Seal Beach, you'll find clean beaches and a Main St filled with shops, restaurants, and more to explore. A great location for walking, jogging, or fishing. Next to the pier, there is a playground for kids and street music on occasion. A few seasonal events will happen around the pier as well. I go out fishing here once in a while. You can fish for a variety of species, including mackerel, halibut, croakers, sea bass, thresher sharks, leopard sharks, and more! Every year, there's a family fishing day with raffles, a strong sense of community, and fun. Fishing is free on the pier. No license required, but you do have to follow the regulations and limits for the species you catch. Some fish species aren't good for eating. There are signs indicating what types of fish are in the area and guidelines on consumption. There used to be a Ruby's restaurant at the end of the Pier, but it burned down. After the repairs and reopening in May 2019, the area was left clear, which is still nice for visitors to spread out and enjoy the atmosphere. There are two paid parking lots available on either side of the pier. Payment is through the self-serve kiosk or the Passport parking app and is charged by the hour. There is some free street parking, but it's tougher to snag, especially on weekends. And some areas have a time limit.

There is 2-3 hour street parking on the Main Street and untimed parking in the residential area. Be sure to look for parking signs to prevent getting a ticket. The ladies said they patrol regularly for parking violations. Parking is also available below the grass area, closer to the sand. This is a pay parking area. The pier is great for fishing. Although I didn't get to walk the pier this time around because of time constraints. I got a few shots at sunset. I would love to return to the area to walk the pier and then check out the shopping, bars and restaurants. Then take a walk on the beach at sunset! You can find military ships docked at the nearby Naval station. This place is worth checking out if you're in the area, just the pier alone will make it worth your time, once you find parking!

The life guard huts have friendly staff and attentive to their post and jobs. This State Park has moved on to digital payment - you can now scan the QR code located at every lot and pay the $21 day use fee if parking inside.
