Simply the BEST!! Oscar installed a automatic pool filler for my pool and he and his crew did just an amazing job...His workmanship for detail was just incredible!! ie: He had to cut and remove the slate/stone around the pool area so he could connect the piping from the pool to the spigot, he removed all the necessary stone and when he replaced it you couldn't tell that the stone had been removed, he took the time and patience to replace it to it's original look, on top of that he also had to cut through 12ft of sod which he meticulously did so not to interrupt any of the sprinkler heads. Hard working with Great results. Just a sample of how these guys work...Went to get lunch for his crew around 11:00, brought the sandwiches back, (they were very appreciative) these guys worked through lunch to finish the job, they only drank water till everything was pau, than they ate there sandwiches which was around 2:45. I had a leak in my pool and my pool service recommended Oscar, "This is the guy you want!" I called and he returned my call in under an hour. I called Tuesday and he came Thursday morning ready to get wet. He was great! He checked all my plumbing and said it was good, donned his wet suit and jumped in. He found the issue and had it dealt with and fixed in under two hours. Oscar was very friendly, explained what he was going to do and once he found the problem, he explained the steps he was going to take to fix it. He found another issue while fixing the first problem and he talked to me about it at length. He answered all of my questions clearly and in great detail and while he was very busy, he never acted like he had to hurry up or made me feel rushed. He greatly reduced all anxieties. Honesty and integrity. Terrific experience! Oscar, the business owner, did a fantastic job repairing my pool. He worked with me to get the pool, which was in bad condition, ready for him to assess. We weren't able to determine where the leak was coming from and we were unable to run the pump automatically because we were losing too much water and didn't want to have the pump burn out. He came over a few times at no charge to help me get the pool ready for repair. He was always on time and finished earlier than expected. He was neat, cleaned up after himself, and best of all stayed below the original estimate. I purchased a home in Kailua in January 2020 with a swimming pool that had a broken autofill and overflow. Oscar Turcios made the repair and now I don't have to pump down my pool after a heavy rain or fill it manually. He showed up when he said he would and did the work he said he would and charged me the agreed upon amount. Why can't more businesses operate like this? UPDATE 03/23/2021: My old single speed pool filter pump was getting louder and louder, so that it was difficult to carry on a conversation near the pool. I called Oscar and he stopped by that afternoon. He recommended a replacement pump (Pentair IntelliFlo VSF) which his son installed the next morning. The new pump is a variable speed pump which is whisper quiet and way more energy efficient. Oscar and Aqua Blue Pools are my go to pool repair guys. read more

Recently had a leak in pool and found Oscar, who quoted price over phone and quickly came out and did a thorough test of where leak was. After determining location and cause he gave an estimate and scheduled a time to repair. He had to replace all the plumbing, cutting concrete and replacing concrete. Oscar brought his son and another worker who came on time and worked non stop, with lunch break, 8 hours straight. All business! Constant cleaning and vacuuming during and after repairs. Wow. This is the guy you need to call if you think you have a leak in your pool. I was doing some additional checking and was going to call the another company that had come by earlier but called Oscar because they had done the initial water balance when we had our pool redone and recalled that they also did leak detection. He had to dive in the water but found the leak from our pool light nitch and repaired on the spot with some epoxy. Oscar charges just one price to find the leak or he doesn't charge. Only issue we had was forgot to open the valves after the test and we ended up running the pump empty for a day. Oscar came back to inspect and told me everything looked ok, that nothing was damaged. Super easy guy to work with would recommend him if you have a leak or need some pool repairs. FYI, I think there are two listings on Yelp, Aqua Blue Pool and Aqua Blue Pools. Later I discover that Oscar is the "go to" pool repairman and is known to many of those in the industry. Oscar provided a solution that was quite involved with the replacement of the skimmer, which was over 60 years old, and the suction line. He and Marcus were on time, courteous, focused, and cleaned up after. He provides a clear work proposal and invoice. I was happy and felt his fee was fair and honest considering the level of expertise required. Oscar and his son did an amazing job repairing the mistake made by Gemini Pools. Gemini wouldn't make the time to honor their work and even accused us of overfilling our pool and causing the rust to come through the concrete. When Oscar opened up the area he showed us where the concrete it was too shallow and the rebar was not properly installed. His repair work was outstanding, he was clean, neat and very positive.
