Ok, I love AQ! It's next to my house and I've been coming here for about two years. I feel like every time I've come, whoever helps me does a good through job. They have all good and up-to-date colors! I've also got acrylics here too and they are good at doing what you want and staying on trend. Usually there's not longer than a 15 min wait! Love u AQ! Let me give you the worst part first: THE OLD WOMAN STARTED SCRAPING OFF MY OLD NAIL POLISH WITH HER FINGERNAILS. Her nasty, bare, obviously fungus-thickened, green and yellow fingernails. When I asked why she wasn't using a tool, she told me it was because she wanted my nails to look good. I said I'd prefer she use the tools, and after giving me the stink eye, she begrudgingly got the sterile tools out of the back, and started using them in a way that let me know she has no idea what they're for. Then she got up after "removing" the polish from my second finger, greeted another customer who had just walked in, showed her to another table and started taking off HER polish. Not a word to me. Just left me there. I looked around. Everyone else was with other customers. By this time 30 minutes had gone by ( old lady had been making calls, receiving calls, and walking around the shop talking to the callers while she was supposed to be working on me) so I finally got up and told her if she was too busy for me I could certainly go somewhere else. And I did. I took my scraped nails a half a block away to Queen Nails and they fixed the damage and had me out of there in 30 minutes. Obviously, I'm never going back to AQ and you can just bet that the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology is going to be paying them a visit regarding their extremely hygienic and sterile practices. read more

I showed up and Ling set me up in my chair upon arrival. She does the most amazing pedicure I was almost falling asleep in the chair. Was told to be here at 11 been here waiting for 15 mins with a manicurist sitting and playing on her phone then she decides to tell me to sit down after i said i would leave because the wait is long. Ridiculous!!!! So i decided to go back and try them again since I liked the SNS manicure Amy did I called a day before spoke to Amy herself asked for an appointment for 11 she said yes I came in at 11 she wasn't there so I waited 20 mins then someone else started taking off the previous set then Amy finally came at 12:10 and I told her I had an appointment at 1 and she said she would be done in time which she wasn't. I'm pretty torn on how to rate this place. They do a GREAT job and they're cheap but they're customer service sucks. Making an appointment is useless and if they're busy the ladies will just keep getting Up to help other people. Last time I was in there, the lady stopped once to paint someone's nails and twice to go wax other people (she was super hygienic--always washed her hands and changed gloves, but still...). I spent two hours here and my nails were all crooked, not the shape I asked for, the polish was already ruined my the time I left the salon and while I was waiting to get my acrylics off, three of the employees were sitting there on their phones doing nothing. I also came in with gel extensions on (got them done at Jasmines Nails on Colorado, highly recommend) and the employees had no idea how to take them off so completely ruined my actual nails. This is the same owners of Queen Nail one block east. They shuffle the manicurist from one shop to the other. This is the 3rd and last time I have made an appointment with the only person there that does good work. Showed up for my appointment time, I even called on my way to confirm she was there since I have been screwed over on previous appointments. Got there, she's not there. They then said she was walking across the street and would be there in one minute. They try to get you to put your feet in the water so you're sitting there like an idiot for 30 minutes with wrinkled feet waiting for your appointment to show up. Didn't fall for it this time, after 10 minutes I walked outside to see her walking across the street - nothing but leaves blowing for miles. I went back in and asked where she was, and again..."she's walking across the street, put your feet in the water!". Over it, goodbye Queen Nail and AQ Nail Salon. Find it hard to give them even 1 star. I have been going there for about 7 months. Everything is usually ok, sometimes they hurry and the paint job isn't as good. The last 2 times I've gone the pedicures have hurt. I just went last Saturday and I started having toe pain on Monday, well now I have an infection on my big toe. Had the worse pedicure of my life and I've been getting pedis and pedis since I was 15 yrs that's a while and never had a pedicure this bad the lady that did it had absolutely no clue what she was doing didnt even clean my cuticles it was the worst pedi only reason I didnt call the owner over and tell her send me someone else is b/c I didnt want to look like an ass! I've tried this salon on three occasions. The first couple of appointments were pretty great, but after my last experience I won't be returning. I had a gel mani and spa pedi and my gel literally peeled off after 2 days! During the manicure, the technician applied a different technique than what I'm used to -- she had me put in one finger at a time in the UV light and for 30 seconds at a time. I kind of questioned it because I worried about the consistency of my polish. In the past 5 years I've been getting gel manicures, I've never experienced this kind of "technique." It almost felt like it was done purposely so my polish wouldn't last! I'm upset because this salon was walking distance from where I lived. Unfortunately, now I have to find another salon. read more

The worse experience ever... painful and crappy job done to my nails. The old lady doesn't use gloves, tried to remove my old gel polish by bare hands with long finger nails.
