Just had my 1st treatment and highly satisfied! AJ was awesome! Totally professional and knows his pest!!! Especially my bee situation!!! He tackled that nest like he was the "king bee"! I believe I will be a long-term customer! read more

Do NOT get services here they are scammers!!! they say $60 per visit, when reality its a month but they dont tell you that, you sign and then they charge you monthly and to cancel its 200$ additional. read more

The only reason I gave one star is because you can't give 0 stars. Absolute worse customer service. They require a contract that has high fees to get out of even if you sell your house. Service is scheduled even when you tell them to not come. Run away and go somewhere else!!! read more

BEWARE. MONEY GRAB. rude, condescending call center people. They showed up 4x in 2yrs and billed me $79 a month. They tried to charge me $200 to cancel. Insanely bad service. And yes, my name is Karen. My mother chose it, I didn't. read more

Have been counting the days to cancel this contract. Have made so many unkept promises and still see bugs everyday despite calls and extra visits. Do not call back often and never had my promised termite inspection after 6 cancellations for it. read more

They are not an honest company. The people they send door to door lie to make a sale. They overcharge, and their customer contact center is not in the US. I had to pay a $199 cancellation fee due to their dishonesty. Stay away from Aptive!! read more

Aptive sold me on their services with a door to door salesman. They were the worst pest service I have had in 40+ years in Nashville. The ants never went awa and when I finally fired Aptive the bugs went away as well. Very disappointing to say the least. I would never use them again. read more

this is a horrible company. they do pretend work if you ask me. they charge huge fees and lock you into a two year contract with a penalty if you discontinue their services even because you are moving!!!! the mosquito issues I had were awful and never resolved and when I asked their service people about certain 'bugs' in the back yard they were clueless as to what they were. read more

They have been extremely helpful and have answered everyone of my questions! Joseph has been very professional and friendly. Overall I am glad to have their services!! read more

Aptive Pest Control - Pest Control Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

The sales people were not honest about the frequency of service and what it included. The service did nothing to help with mosquitoes even though we were paying extra. They called me back 2 months after I cancelled the service to say I still had 1 more treatment on my contract. I specifically asked when I cancelled if I had figured the number of visits correctly and they had had no problem reaching out to try to sell me on continuing service. Needless to say I do. It recommend this company poor product, low value for your money and unethical communication. On a positive note the customer service reps remain polite when you can and they have to pretend they don't have upset customers calling hourly. read more

This company is a complete scam! DONT USE THEM! I live on over a half acre and the tech would spend only 10 mins spraying my yard and then sit in his struck for 15 mins. He also left the water running on the hose when he filled up the tank, when I mentioned this to him on his next visit he started yelling at me on my front porch. Custom service said they would have a different tech come out to service my yard, which only happened once. They send me a text message of service dates and then when it comes time for the appointment I get a text that says, "an Aptive service professional visited your home for an appointment on but it looks like we missed you." I work from home and have been for every appointment. To make matters worst the bug problem has only gotten worst since having their service. read more

I felt bad for the sales rep going door to door. He was out hustling. Big regret. We had company over and the guy promised they'd come and perform the initial service. Yup... that never happened. The next service, they just text randomly that they be there in 10 min. Could never get the inside treated. And again, next service, get a 10 min warning, and could t get the inside treated. Then was over charged. Tried to cancel the service, but there's a large cancellation fee, that wasn't disclosed. Wouldn't recommend Aptive. Pretty amateur company. read more

Aptive Environmental uses illegal sales tactics. They go door-to-door, without solicitor's permits, ignoring No Soliciting signs, and admit that they don't check the No Knock list prior to doing so. read more

Their sales representatives obviously can't read, of simply don't understand the English language! I have no soliciting signs prominently posted on my property and doors, and they just ignored them. Then the representative wouldn't take no for an answer, and started trying to walk around our property trying to justify his existence. If your representatives can't follow directions and not try to solicit our business, or leave when asked, you definitely aren't getting my business! You've already lost me as a potential customer as soon as you ring my doorbell, or knock on my door if I haven't contacted you wanting your services ahead of time! read more

DONT DO IT!!! Three BBB complaints and they still try to make appointments. I've blocked my card, per the first correspondence, and they kept going. Two no contacts pushed by BBB; Aptive rescheduled my appointment. I had more bugs after they came around; their employees report areas they didn't have access to as being complete. For those who question, I have a privacy fence with locks on the INSIDE, they report they sprayed my yard. It was $200 quarterly if anyone wants a comparison to other options. I can say that when I called the bank to stop any payments to them, the operator laughed because he had the same issue (different location). read more

Unbelievably bad! On second scheduled visit, I was working on my house and outside all day. Never saw a truck, anyone walking around the house, or even smelled pesticide. When I got a text saying my service was complete, I responded and said no one showed. I got a salty response saying I was notified that service was taking place. Customer service is just as good as techs! Unfortunately...I was under contract. I filed a complaint with BBB. On fourth visit I was mowing when tech arrived. Things are getting better right? Not by much. Guy wasn't here for five minutes. He walked around house, sprayed corners of doors and corners of crawl space vents, and left. The invoice listed that tech treated door and window trim, cracks and crevices, plant beds adjacent to foundation, and removed all spider webs. WHAT?!?! I CALL BULLSHIT! Bugs are SUPER HAPPY with Aptive and are inviting all of their bug friends to come check it out. Long story short, epically bad. Complete frauds. I wouldn't use them if they paid me. read more

Sales manager was going door to door in our neighborhood. Which, is weird in the middle of a pandemic, i must say. Came to our door, and my wife answered. We had been talking about pest control services, so it was perfect timing. She told my wife that they do a lot of the houses in our neighborhood, and that's why she was going door to door. Gave us a discount on the initial treatment, and then $109 quarterly after that. Had her hooked, so she signed the contract. Gave them the payment information. Told us they would be back in a couple of days for the initial treatment. I had an uneasy feeling about the whole thing when my wife told me, but i wrote it off as me being paranoid. Fast forward two days to when they are supposed to do the initial treatment, and no sign of them. I start researching and find out that they are not reliable, and that no one in our neighborhood actually uses their services. I call customer service to see what the deal was, and i could never get through to anyone. They hung up on me, i was on hold for 45 minutes only to be sent to voicemail. Finally got a hold of someone on their chat service, but they were not helpful. I have a hard time trusting companies with poor customer service. The guy finally showed up to do the treatment, but i told him i didn't want it. Didn't sign his little agreement and ended up canceling all together. Luckily it was within the 3 days, so i got out of it. At least it seems like i have so far. Lesson learned. Stick with your gut feeling. Majority of the time it is right. read more

Services were really hit or miss. More than half of the time the technician would miss spots so I would have to request follow-ups. One positive is that the people who answer the phone are courteous and are willing to resolve your problems and they answer the calls pretty quickly. read more

Yesterday a salesperson came to my door and when I informed her there is no soliciting in this neighborhood, she said she has a permit issued by the State of Tennessee. I told her that permit or not, our neighborhood is posted No Soliciting. When I asked her for a business card, she said she didn't have any. She just stood there and kept smiling and asking questions. I asked her to leave my property and she finally complied. I understand people have to make a living and, having said that, I do not appreciate door-to-door salespeople who will not take no for an answer. read more

A Warning to all my neighbors that try to use this company! On 3/10/2023 we had Aptive Pest Control come out for pest control. The technician's name the came to our home was Lazarus Yarbrough from the Nashville TN facility location. I proceeded to explain to him about the areas that needed attention around the home. He did unfortunately state a rude remark to me and I quote.." So you're telling me my job?" I looked to him confused and just brushed off the remark as him just having a bad day. Once he finished outside he then came inside the house. Due to the nature of what happened while Lazarus Yarrough was in our home, I can only state that he was inappropriately advancing himself onto one of our family members. I did witness this and immediately called Aptive to launch an investigation on Lazarus Yarrough. It's been 2 weeks so far and the company has yet to contact us on this matter. I am furious about this issue and warning anyone to be extremely careful who you let into your home no matter what company they are employed by. I will continue to press this unacceptable and unethical behavior from Aptive Pest Control. I've called this company every day since the incident and have not had any response! I am pursuing legal action against Aptive because they have not stepped up to resolve the matter. read more

Lindsie definitely went above-and-beyond in service today! She kept in contact with me before and after the ticket was complete to ensure everything was done properly. She took the time to do a deep spray around the fence line to get some pesky colonies. She also sprayed both the inside and outside of my shed, which was crawling with spiders. Very nice and very professional technician! read more

Very VERY aggressive salespeople that knock on your door and don't leave when asked. They overhype the damage bugs can do. Obviously most people will need exterminators occasionally, but not every single house in an entire neighborhood. They also outright lie and make up things about "all your neighbors have signed up." Well, then why don't I ever actually see any workers? It's just salespeople walking around harassing you about the bugs living in your yard. read more

They sent a door to door salesman to our neighborhood. He was extremely pushy. I politely explained that I am not interested. I am happy with my current pest control company. DO NOT DO IT!!!!!!!!! Started out great. Regular appointments, and the service people were on time - then they just started showing up and spritzing here and there. One guy actually rang the door bell and went right back to his truck after he thought I went back inside. For the past "quarter" (because that is how they bill you, up front) I have had THREE no shows!!!! The company will not compensate or allow you to cancel your contract without a HUGE fee! STAY AWAY!!!! If I could give ZERO stars, I would. They send a "sales manager" to your door and promise the world. "I would be 90% bug free in the first 2 treatments.", he said. Not only is that NOT true, it is the exact opposite. I have NEVER seen more spiders in my life. Killing them myself WEEKLY! I have been more busy killing spiders around my house than I EVER was before. They will NOT stand by the money back guarantee! Customer service is horrible and I wish I had never wasted one dime on their "Service". I should have known better than to trust a lofty guarantee. The door to door dales manager definitely is a salesman, because he convinced me to do something I'd never do, that is sign up for a service from a door to door salesman. Call the office? Nope! That wont help. Rude, lacking in ways to help and they change their story with every call. STAY AWAY!!!! read more

Aptive showed up for start up visit knocked on the door said he was here for service. I asked where he would start & if he would come inside & treat. He said they would come inside next visit I thought that was odd since that's what I paid for in my agreement . I was told they would start at the road in front cover the whole yard & spray up the side of the house same in the back also & inside. I don't think he sprayed all the way around the house. I tried canceling through email it said the email did not exist ,so I tried calling to be left on hold. I signed & printed paper contract cancellation to send to a Utah address. Who knows if that will help. read more

Don't do business with this company. HORRIBLE SERVICE. Incompetent. Sent a man who was either drunk, high or mentally challenged. I told him several times not to spray near my garden herbs, my husband told him as well and he agreed that he NEVER sprays herbs. While in the kitchen on my phone I see him spraying near my herbs so I go look at them and they were dripping with pesticides. Ooooops he forgot. I use them for medicinal purposes as a cancer survivor as well as for my business. The only thing we received was a release from the contract. Horrible company. read more

THE WORST. AVOID THIS COMPANY. Read the BBB reviews to get a very clear pic of "Aptive Environmental". When we didn't answer our door, he found us in our BACK YARD. After an EXTREMELY HIGH PRESSURE SALES PITCH that went on and on AND ON...I reluctantly signed the contract. I had a bad feeling about the whole situation and began to research the company. Having seen so many complaints on BBB and yelp, I decided to cancel my contract within the first 3 days as allowed per the contract and the SAME salesman tried to call me THAT DAY and THEN RETURNED TO MY HOME 1 week later. Ever seen CAPE FEAR? Unless you enjoy harassment...AVOID APTIVE ENVIRONMENTAL. read more

Stay far away. Their services do not work. They will lie about what it does and who in your neighborhood is using them. I'm so mad at myself for not reading these reviews before we signed up. absolutely disgusted with their service! Okay so it's not Covid. This is the absolute worst bug company I have ever had.. I had aptive for a year and a half and I honestly can not say I was satisfied once with any service.. From spider webs all over the fences.. Infestations of chinch bugs and Ants.. My dogs got ticks in my own back yard.. You could pick any spot in my beautiful grass and rake and watch spiders come out.. nothing worked. Constant complaints every month and not once did upper management reach out we finally had it up to the roof and fired them 4 months from our contract ending and they still want 200.00 cancellation fee.. unbelievable I would Highly recommend staying far away from them. I was told recently they are not bug people.. more like rodents etc... Seriously 1.5 years you can do better Aptive you should be ashamed of your self and I seriously hope this helps people give you the finger. Dont pay these scammers.. it does not work.. read more

Stay away from this company; it is just a money trap. They trap you into signing a long term contract and to get out of the contract even after he first service they charge a huge amount. If they do the service as promised; it could have been good; but their service is just waste and no-impact to my front/back yard. They promised they could do a free service if Im not satisfied with the first service; but they couldn't stand by their promise. In nutshell; I feel like getting cheated by a plain scam company. read more

Maybe due to all of the negative reviews/complaints, they have changed their answering system. After waiting for 5 mins., they are now giving clients the option to hang-up and a customer representative will call you back. Somebody did call me back, 20 mins. later on. Great! I don't have to waste my time. Since they were to accommodate all my requests (come every 3 months, email a copy of my contract, get rid of the $200 statement, AND have a new answering system), I decide to give them another chance. read more

SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE & MONEY-INSTEAD USE A LOCAL PEST CONTROL. We just bought a house & were eager to treat for spiders having just moved in and spotted a few more than I'd like to see. We agreed to a contract with Aptive, and were excited that we were no longer seeing any spiders. We had an issue with billing, and here is my issue. I have spent over 3 weeks, countless hours on hold & numerous emails to no resolve- getting the run- around from representatives who tell me that only a manager can help me with my billing issue. Easy fix you would think, but they have no way of connecting you to a "manager". They are only able to contact them and have them, in turn, contact you back. Well, after not hearing from them over a 4 day period, I decided to call back. Surprise, surprise... they're sorry a manager hasn't been in contact with me but they promise they will ASAP. So 2 days later, I call again.... same answer- "only a manager can help, unfortunately I cant connect you with one but I will send over everything we have spoken about and they will get back to you". Two more days pass, so I decide to email to see if they can help me. Imagine that, they can't help me. Poor, poor, POOR management. They are very eager to take your money & sign you up but will not do anything to correct their mistake. ( Yes, it was a billing mistake on THEIR part ) Local pest control companies would NEVER do this, you would never have to deal with any of these issues and if you did, you would easily be able to contact someone to help you. I cannot stress this enough, USE A LOCAL COMPANY- NOT APTIVE. I have had friends with similar experiences. Beware! read more

I hated called and called and no one answers to have someone come back out. I have more bugs than I did to start with!! Steer clear!!

I was skeptical at first, but i had a very polite salesman and I did read the fine print of the contract so I was comfortable giving it a try. After every treatment, I'm very glad I decided to use them. Their prices are competitive but reasonable for the local market, and for 4 treatments a year at about $120 each, I've never seen a bug inside, even in the TN summer. That's worth it to me. We struggled with ants and beetles and mosquitoes but since starting with Aptive, I've never had an issue since. I also like that their treatments are natural and safe for children and pets. They schedule days to come, you don't even have to be home since it's the outside perimeter. If you need them to come on a specific day, you can very easily call and request what day you'd like. The service reps are ALWAYS polite, informative, and personable. They've been some of the best service providers I've ever had the pleasure of working with. 10/10, I'm happy to continue using their service. Thank you for an excellent product! read more
