Oh I haven't been home to the states in 7 weeks and I miss asian food... Jennifer, a friend from my program lived in a homestead in this neighborhood and we decided to eat here.
This place is very quaint and the prices are agreeable in Paris. The staff was very nice and I was eavesdropping and i noticed that one of the guys there was mixing Cantonese with Mandarin Chinese. After my meal, I asked him how many languages he spoke, about 7! French, mandarin, some Cantonese, some Thai, some Fukienese, some Vietnamese , and some other language I didn't recognize. Crazy...
I ordered the pho and banh beo. Jennifer got bo luc lac that she was nice enough to share =) The pho broth was amazing, just amazing. The noodles done perfectly as well. The meat was a bit tough, overcooked, but that wasn't a big deal if the foundation of the bowl was set. The banh beo was good with nuoc mam, although they didn't use real shrimp(expensive), just shrimp flakes. The Luc Lac was good too with the red rice. I couldn't tell if it was quality meat, but it was tasty and cooked well.
It's advertised as a vietnamese/thai food place and I can only vouch for the viet side. If you're in Paris for an extended time and miss vietnamese food, definitley come here. read more
