Usually if the person wants, he/she could have a pre tour before they actually become a member of the gym. I skipped that, because I know my own routine and just wanted to have a look of the gym. I think the gym is pretty nice, they got many different training equipments for cardio or muscle gaining, no need worried to many people and too less equipment s to use. There is a room just for the muscle trainer, full of heavy equipments, which some I haven't seen in my previous fitness studio. I did try most of them out by now. I think most of them quite effective and fun to work with. Probably not a place for beginner though. If you just start to do training, probably better just stay with the equipment in the main room first. Wait until you body is ready for the next level of challenge. I think many different types of equipment there as well, they are all useful tool. People can do full body training here, not just gaining muscle but lost weight, I like to hang out this area as well. And there is a room for lady, they called it lady room. I'm not sure what they do there and I don't know anyone. I guess probably some cardio training sort of thing. And there is the course room at the corner. For this even for a member will need to pay extra. Probably they offer a different membership for this, if you really need this. I'm got the regular one. I think this is quite a nice gym with a great sign up fee. They also offer a starter package for the member. Well, although the person has to pay extra of it, it is still nice thing to have. In the gym also got a drinks station that basically that where you can get water or water with other flavors, snack machine right at the back. The gym is really considered, it got bathroom as well. There is not WIFI yet for the member to use it, but I think that won't be a problem, since most people will just focus on training here. I like it, this is a great place for training. And as a member, also allowed to go to the other FitX fitness studio no matter where, it doesn't have to be the same place, really convenient!

I cannot say the same about their customer service via phone. I went there to subscribe for the monthly plan with my corporate benefits, since the contract was in german, the lady made a mistake to subscribe me for a year contract. They blocked my account because of this, I called to investigate, they explained in a cold way (like I don't give a damn, you signed up for this). Alles gut, I paid the full year, 4 days have passed and they haven't reactivated my account. Called yesterday and the girl on the phone was like (it has only been x days, call on friday if you don't hear from us) YOU have my money already, move the process. Fitx as a gym it's ok, hopefully as an expat that don't speak German, you don't have to deal with all this. PD: Be very cautious about the contract that you are signing

I did everything by the book, cancelled my membership when I was supposed to, but was hit with a 85 Euro fee 1 year after I had cancelled my membership, for a "service fee" for the year, which was not communicated to me as I had moved address after I quit my membership. I called to explain the situation, and how I received no letters or any form of communication to pay this fee, but I was still happy to pay the original fee of 29,90. But their customer service was absolutely terrible, and are forcing me to pay 85 euros simply for the fact that I changed my address AFTER I had quit my contract and not told them. The contract included my mobile phone number, which hasn't changed for about 10 years, and they did not feel that it was necessary at any point to contact me via phone or any other form of contact. Nor did they mention any extra fees or charges when I went to cancel my contract. They left me thinking that I had paid off everything I needed to, until they played a very sneaky, unfair move to draw even more money from me. I had quit my contract and had no intention of returning to the gym, paid off all the debts they had told me about initially and so left NOTHING outstanding when I left. Only to be hit with a 85 euro charge more than 1 year after I quit the gym. This is absolutely terrible terrible communication and service from this gym and I highly recommend you pick another gym to start your membership with.

Facilities are constantly broken: saunas don't work, the pool is regularly out of service, water pressure in the showers is pathetic, and the toilets in the ladies' locker room are dirty and limited. This is a luxury-priced gym running with budget maintenance -- it's absolutely unacceptable. Today I was denied entry due to a billing issue caused by them, not me. When I tried to explain, I was told: "You're lucky you live here and not in America." That kind of comment is unprofessional, inappropriate, and frankly, disgusting. And to top it all off, they deleted my previous review -- silencing my voice instead of addressing the feedback. Holmes Place doesn't care about you as a person. It cares about your company-sponsored app access and about draining your wallet. The service is terrible, the communication worse, and the human experience today left me feeling humiliated and angry

Trainers are extremely helpful and advise you on how to improve your workout. Wellness area is great. Wifi available throughout the gym. Serve tea and water, water fountains available in gym area (which might sound funny but have not seen many of those in Germany...). A good variety of classes. Things to improve: towel service (they just give you two towels) and complicated membership and towel card system instead of using an app.

When you first sign up, no one really shows you around the place or shows you how to use any of the equipment. They just want you're money and don't care about members at all. The women's lounge is extremely small. The gym is very crowded. Bathrooms are not very hygienic. There is hair and dust everywhere. It's communal showering as well. Classes are limited and for some classes it's simply just a video that they play on the big screen - I could do the same in the comfort of my own lounge room for free. Also, classes with a real instructor are usually quite full so the instructors are not able to correct you if you are not performing the exercise correctly to really benefit from your work out. FitX gyms do not have air conditioning. And when the weather is cooler, their heating is turned up very high. The contract renews automatically each year and if you want to cancel, you have to do it 3 months prior. To cancel straight away, you have to prove that you moved out of the city. At least that was the case when I was a member. The customer service number of FitX is also not great. The customer service staff at FitX are not very understanding at all. They're simply brainless robots following what's written on a piece of paper without any empathy or understanding for the members at all. At times they are also quite simply rude. Oh and if you've changed addresses and apparently updated that information in the online members area, and you don't receive an invoice from them in the post, then expect to receive a letter from debt collection with added costs. Because apparently, they don't believe in trying to reach you by email (if postal services seemed to have failed them). If you need to work out cheaply use the money and invest in your own weights and equipment. There are plenty of free youtube workout videos online that only uses your own body weight. I personally like Fitness Blender. There is nothing at FitX that you can't already do on your own at home or in a park. FitX just doesn't care about you as a member at all. They don't care about your fitness goals, whether you reach them or not. It's the absolute bare minimal type of gym and honestly I would much rather take my money elsewhere. I do not recommend this gym at all.

All the equipment and facilities look really modern and well-maintained -- no "out of order" signs in sight! The layout is a bit better at this location than the Alexanderplatz one as it is more spread out and logical (changing rooms and lounge are right by the entrance instead of tucked away at the back of the gym). Similar to the Alex location, the "lady gym" is very commendable -- it is equipped with a squat rack and plenty of free weights. As for courses, they have the same timetable at every location, and while I have not really been a fan of the courses so far (yogalates was too boring and slow, cycling had a bad instructor, HIX was pretty good), I think that could probably be just an issue of personal taste. Anyway, this is a great gym to go to if you live in Berlin and don't want to spend a lot on your gym membership!

Cardio on one level with a lot of cross trainers and treadmills etc. The 2nd floor is muscle-training. The number of workout stations on the 2nd floor is pretty limited as there is only 1 station of each type, so you can risk some waiting time to complete a full range training session. All the equipment is new and it looks good. The BEST part about the gym is definately the view! You can sight-see while you work out. As it is located on the top floor you have a panoramic view of the Kurfürstendam and the Friederic G church etc. So I really recommend going here for 1 or 2 visits if you visit Berlin. However do some parts like,…read moreshowers, reception and decor feel like it still a part of the 90s without a read thread or concept. The gym fails in the details like broken lockers, plastic hangers, old soap dispensers, not up to date treadmills/cardio machines and too much wear and tear on some equipment (like exercise mats). All this in its turn gives the location an ordinary feel rather than an exclusive one. Reception constantly seems to be understaffed, partly unorganised and some of the staff need to shape up their service manner by acting more professional. On the upside does this location have great energy mostly due to the breathtaking view but also since members are friendly and considerate. There is rarely not any wait for machines/treadmills, and there is never "too many" members at the location. Group classes are small, and there is an outdoor running track on the rooftop with occasional group classes. In essence is this a great location in need of upgrades, consistency and maybe better management? It's in the details you distinguish a regular white T-shirt from a quality one. This location needs to do it's homework since it's defiantly not the best.
