Usually if the person wants, he/she could have a pre tour before they actually become a member of the gym. I skipped that, because I know my own routine and just wanted to have a look of the gym. I think the gym is pretty nice, they got many different training equipments for cardio or muscle gaining, no need worried to many people and too less equipment s to use. There is a room just for the muscle trainer, full of heavy equipments, which some I haven't seen in my previous fitness studio. I did try most of them out by now. I think most of them quite effective and fun to work with. Probably not a place for beginner though. If you just start to do training, probably better just stay with the equipment in the main room first. Wait until you body is ready for the next level of challenge. I think many different types of equipment there as well, they are all useful tool. People can do full body training here, not just gaining muscle but lost weight, I like to hang out this area as well. And there is a room for lady, they called it lady room. I'm not sure what they do there and I don't know anyone. I guess probably some cardio training sort of thing. And there is the course room at the corner. For this even for a member will need to pay extra. Probably they offer a different membership for this, if you really need this. I'm got the regular one. I think this is quite a nice gym with a great sign up fee. They also offer a starter package for the member. Well, although the person has to pay extra of it, it is still nice thing to have. In the gym also got a drinks station that basically that where you can get water or water with other flavors, snack machine right at the back. The gym is really considered, it got bathroom as well. There is not WIFI yet for the member to use it, but I think that won't be a problem, since most people will just focus on training here. I like it, this is a great place for training. And as a member, also allowed to go to the other FitX fitness studio no matter where, it doesn't have to be the same place, really convenient!

Alles gut, I paid the full year, 4 days have passed and they haven't reactivated my account. Called yesterday and the girl on the phone was like (it has only been x days, call on friday if you don't hear from us) YOU have my money already, move the process. The owner and trainer is friendly, helpful, and just a constant source of positive energy. Love this place. One small eccentricity to be prepared for: as part of keeping the place so clean with no staff, you are asked not to wear shoes you've worn on the street into the gym. Bring training shoes in your bag and change into them once you're inside.

The gym has all the necessary equipment, be it weight training (machine and free weights), cardio, or even boxing. Everything is kept in super clean and well-functioning state. I also really appreciated his tips around workouts here and there (and I know he also has personal training program as well). Also included is the protein shake you can get at the end of the workout, which I thought was a great plus especially for travelers like myself. More than anything, this is not one of those commercial gyms where they only care about taking your money or the equipment can be hit or miss. It felt like I was working out at a friend's place with a super nice gym. Overall, I can't recommend it enough for anyone whether local or visiting Berlin and Schöneberg area.

I did everything by the book, cancelled my membership when I was supposed to, but was hit with a 85 Euro fee 1 year after I had cancelled my membership, for a "service fee" for the year, which was not communicated to me as I had moved address after I quit my membership. I called to explain the situation, and how I received no letters or any form of communication to pay this fee, but I was still happy to pay the original fee of 29,90. But their customer service was absolutely terrible, and are forcing me to pay 85 euros simply for the fact that I changed my address AFTER I had quit my contract and not told them. The contract included my mobile phone number, which hasn't changed for about 10 years, and they did not feel that it was necessary at any point to contact me via phone or any other form of contact. Nor did they mention any extra fees or charges when I went to cancel my contract. They left me thinking that I had paid off everything I needed to, until they played a very sneaky, unfair move to draw even more money from me. I had quit my contract and had no intention of returning to the gym, paid off all the debts they had told me about initially and so left NOTHING outstanding when I left. Only to be hit with a 85 euro charge more than 1 year after I quit the gym. This is absolutely terrible terrible communication and service from this gym and I highly recommend you pick another gym to start your membership with.

When I tried to explain, I was told: "You're lucky you live here and not in America." That kind of comment is unprofessional, inappropriate, and frankly, disgusting. And to top it all off, they deleted my previous review -- silencing my voice instead of addressing the feedback. Holmes Place doesn't care about you as a person. It cares about your company-sponsored app access and about draining your wallet. The service is terrible, the communication worse, and the human experience today left me feeling humiliated and angry

Reception constantly seems to be understaffed, partly unorganised and some of the staff need to shape up their service manner by acting more professional. On the upside does this location have great energy mostly due to the breathtaking view but also since members are friendly and considerate. There is rarely not any wait for machines/treadmills, and there is never "too many" members at the location. Group classes are small, and there is an outdoor running track on the rooftop with occasional group classes. In essence is this a great location in need of upgrades, consistency and maybe better management? It's in the details you distinguish a regular white T-shirt from a quality one. This location needs to do it's homework since it's defiantly not the best.

The front desk members were really friendly and accommodating, and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. We were offered a towel and chilled bottle of water to get started, and they also helped us set up our bikes for the first time. The actual class, led by Malin (seriously the most energetic fitness instructor I've ever had), got my heart pumping right away. Malin was great at pushing us to work harder and her enthusiasm made the class fly by. Most of the classes here are taught in German (obviously), but Malin's class is taught in English. Afterwards, a staff member was waiting with chilled eucalyptus towels, which were really refreshing after sweating so much. They also offer a fully-stocked shower room, with plenty of fluffy towels, high-quality shampoo and conditioner, hairspray, makeup remover, deodorant, lotion, and hair dryers. Amazing staff, awesome workout, great amenities. I would definitely come back here for a ride next time in Berlin!

Your bike settings and weights are recorded in their system so everything is always set up when you show up to the studio. Bottles of water and shoes are included with each class. The water station even has bubbly (oh Europe :-)). Every workout is topped off with a scented moist towel. Facilities (lockers, showers, etc.) are top notch. They have done everything here to make sure that all you have to do is show up in your workout clothes. Pricing is expensive for Berlin but very reasonable compared to any studio in the US. They also have a number of different packages to enable anyone to ride. I can not say enough about how great the team and owners are here. Some of their instructions will differ from flywheel and soulcycle. Really not that important. You'll still walk out needing a shower. :-)

Don't sign for this gym, you will not be able to quit... They need you to inform them exactly 3…read moremonths before the end of the contract, if you miss this chance, even for one day, your contract will renew automatically for one more year. Even though other gyms also ask you for a 3 month notice, they will allow you to quit after 3 months and not after one whole year. And forget about trying to use other studios from Clever Fit, they will make it very hard to make sure you only go to the one where you actually signed in. There are better offers in Berlin and with better conditions and with a fairer contract.
