They did a beautiful job on the plant arrangement. They also sent me a video of the arrangement when done. The card was addressed with a very nice creative handwriting. I will be purchasing from them again when flowers or plants are need to be sent in the Durango area. I live in Newport Beach, CA., I didn't know who I could trust to do a good job, now I do Thank you! read more

I was very disappointed with my Mother's Day bouquet. I left a review on their website and it was immediately taken down. I had hoped they would reach out to me. So happy to report that Julia reached out to me and listened my reasons for being disappointed. She is sendingg a replacement. I am so impressed with their concern and thoughtfulness. read more

We have always used April's Garden for many years from simple beauty to special occasion beauty. They have ALWAYS been beautiful arrangements made with care and expertise. One thing that puts them above the rest is their guarantee on their flowers. I had an experience recently where a few of my flowers seemed to be fading sooner than they should've. One call to April's Garden, and before I knew it, Colleen was here to replace the fading flowers! The replacement flowers were beautiful! I'm so glad that they are our floral go-to!! April's Garden went above and beyond for us. We had ordered our daughter some flowers for Valentine's Day to have them delivered to her college. At 2 pm on Valentine's Day mind you, the florist we originally placed our order with called me to inform me that they were unable to make the delivery, no real reason why. I quickly started looking for local florists so we didn't miss sending our baby girl flowers in her first year of college. April's customer service was something I haven't experienced in a long time. They sent me pictures and helped ensure the arrangement was personal. To top off their awesome customer service the delivery person (Jeff) was so polite, my daughter was in the middle of a test when he tried to call her. He didn't seem to get frustrated at all. Just wanted to ensure the delivery was made and a smile was put on her face. Highly recommend April's Garden!! Thank you so much for not only helping a mom away from her daughter but also helping me put a smile on her face!! read more

Coleen is a fabulous designer and the store is absolutely lovely.

I have purchased numerous arrangements from April's, and they all have been bright, fresh, and beautiful. The friendly staff remembers me each time and makes great recommendations. They have been great with requests and special orders too. Deliveries are always punctual. The driver even had treats for my dog each trip after they met. Get the flowers here; you'll be happy, and so will she!! read more

I recently ordered a flower arrangement from April's for a special event in which my daughter-in-law was celebrated. I would recommend them without hesitation. read more

I cant thank April's Garden and Colleen Clausen enough for going above and beyond saving me from my adult male ignorance. The business was closed, she unlocked the door, made me feel special and DELIVERED prom corsages to my house in time for the dance. It is obvious to me that Colleen knows the power of the flower. They are magic. They are medicine. They are messages of love. Just like Colleen herself. Thank you from my heart. read more

I had a bad time with Ava'sflowers, a real scam!!--after 3 days of calling and no delivery, 2 days later, I called April's Garden. Lovely Colleen (not sure if this is the right spelling!) answered the phone Sat morning and I set up my delivery to arrive Sat afternoon--after the memorial service. My SIl was thrilled! They are THE best! I remember their iconic building after our trip a year ago to Cortez for a wedding. Great all around--customer service, friendly, good product for the buck and lovely flowers. Thank you April's Garden! read more

THE BEST! I have a weekly floral arrangement delivered and it never fails to upstage the flowers from the week before. I literally cannot pick a favorite vase, flower, or arrangement because I love them all. I've even had friends think I have fake flowers because they have been so perfect! April's Garden has delivered last minute floral arrangements and balloons for me as gifts as well. Colleen, the owner, is so wonderfully gifted. Her ability to leave everywhere she visits with more cheer and bright joy is truly a testimony to her talents and character. Anytime I need a little help celebrating someone special or sharing good cheer I call April's Garden, and Colleen. Thank you for all that you do and continue to do! read more

I received flowers for my birthday delivered by this business. The roses and lilies were wilted and in poor shape. There were sticks in the arrangement that were in poor shape as well. Having a sister who is a florist and helping her at her shop - she never would have allowed such a horrible and sad looking arrangement out of her shop. This was an incredible disappointment for something that was supposed to be a delightful surprise for my birthday, my boyfriend was extremely disappointed. Management didn't offer to send out a new arrangement, just offered some store credit. Poor business management, I expect more from a florist, especially one whom charges the astronomical prices for arrangements that April's does... read more

I drove past this shop for almost a year of living here and always commented on how it looked like my kind of place. Then I got a new job and started driving by every day. It wasn't long before I resolved to actually step foot in the door. It's DEFINITELY my kind of place. Little nooks and crannies stuffed full of beautiful things. Tons of gorgeous, beautiful flowers. They also have a nice selection of jewelry, and I even bought myself a nice necklace. My E got me my Valentines flowers here this year, and they were absolutely stunning. Orchids, purple roses, and lilies reached three feet in the air. He got many, many kudos for those :) They are definitely pricey, but their arrangements are worth it. My flowers were breathtaking AND they lasted around two weeks, still looking beautiful. Most beautiful arrangements in town! read more

We used April's Garden for our destination wedding in Telluride, CO. Both our coordinator- Celeste Greene and our photographers- Jacob and Annie of Brumely and Wells recommended we use them and I'm so glad we did!! Natalie did such an amazing job designing our florals. We wanted a very vintage, natural/wild look and her execution was perfect. The bouquet and boutonniere turned out beautifully and the centerpieces were amazing. It was exactly what I had envisioned. Not only were they very responsive and pleasant to work with long distance- they worked within our budget and also made the 5 hour round trip delivery to Telluride from Durango for our big day. We are so grateful to Natalie and April's Garden for helping to make our day so beautiful and special! read more

I have used this company in past. Must have new owners because I just spent money for them to deliver a cabbage in a floral arrangement for my mom for Mother's Day. I asked for flowers that would last but got leaves (green), tropical flower(green) , fuller leafs ( green), purple and green cabbage. The ugliest flower Agra game that I have ever seen. If there was a way to put the pic up I would. Then everyone would agree. I live out of town, but if they thought I was not going to get picks they must have been crazy. This is my last time. After talking with the owner she corrected the problem and made a wonderful arrangement and hand delivered. Greatly appreciate the customer service. Esp since that has been lost with other companies. read more

Outstanding display with such a variety of flowers. Definitely so much more than what is available in grocery stores. This order was placed during the COVID-19 time, the woman who made our arrangement was working alone and had all the sanitary recommendations in place, she even made sure to tell us that she sanitized the vase after touching it and then used gloves afterwards for all handling. It was so nice to have a beautiful flower arrangement while being stuck at home!! read more

Unfortunately, not a good experience with the flowers that I purchased to be delivered. Very very expensive with cheap flowers. So bummed that Blossom closed. Will not be using April Garden again. This website does not have pictures of bouquets that they design so very hard to order when the owner wasnt even able to let me know specifically what type of flowers were available and that she would use. Bamboozled into spending way too much money. read more

Amazing compassionate owner! After a terrible experience with an online florist, this wonderfully sweet owner took my call in hopes of finding out who worked for 800 Flowers in town (no one !They cannot find a local florist so they scam people with Fed Exed late dead flowers) - anyway, she took pity on my son in law and donated leftover Valentine arrangement (gorgeous!!) and made my daughter a very happy new wife. Shop Local and give this fine business your floral business every time! read more

I ordered flowers from April's Garden to be delivered to a law office in Durango where the office manager is a delightful lady that went out of her way to help my wife when she was representing a client in a La Plata County Court. Wow! Never had such incredible service from a florist! I phoned in an order for a delivery to a friend in rehab. Definitely my go-to florist in the future! read more

I called the shop directly from Phoenix to order flowers for a funeral service being held at St. Marks. The woman who answered the phone (I think it was Dawn) was so extremely helpful. They were preparing other orders for the service so she had all the information. She advised me that they didn't have the lilies I had in mind but helped me by suggesting orchids that would be very pretty and fit what I wanted. The pricing was good and I was so glad to be able to speak to the shop instead of going through 1800flowers or some other online ordering. I didn't give 5 stars only because I didn't actually see the arrangement. I trust that it was as ordered and very suitable. The service was impeccable and I will definitely call again. And maybe next time I'm home visiting I'll peak in to the shop! Thank you. read more

I recently got married in Telluride and was struggling with finding a florist that was not insanely expensive. I reached out to April's Gardens after seeing reviews from other brides and I am so happy I did! They were so easy to work with (and I live out of state) and created the most BEAUTIFUL flowers. I wanted a more rustic feel to my wedding with wildflowers but had no other ideas on where to start. Molly and her team created beautiful centerpieces that she was able to also use at my ceremony and created perfect bouquets for me and my bridesmaids . I really left the colors and flowers up to April's Gardens and I am so happy I did. They were affordable, polite, easy to communicate and really made my day beautiful and captured exactly what I wanted! I cannot recommend them enough for wedding flowers! read more

I used April's for my wedding. Everything was done remotely via phone and email, and Natalie had to take my vague advice and Pinterest pins as what to go on. Amy showed up on my wedding day with a beautiful head wreath, bouquets, swags, and arrangements that were beyond what I expected. I couldn't be happier with the service she gave me. All the flowers were fresh and of good quality and held up for the entire event. I only have wonderful things to say. read more

I attempted to order a gift with one of those online companies (4 days in advance) due to being across the country, and spent 4 days getting numerous emails and phone calls from said company to tell me information such as no florists have balloons, to no florists have the gift, etc. and then after the delivery should have occurred getting a call to tell me no florists in Durango was able to provide the order I took things into my own hands. In a frantic attempt to rectify this mess and get something to my lifelong friend in the hospital, I called April's directly. Based on the past days disappointments I was not hopeful. Not only did April's fulfill the order, they also offered a much better selection than what the online company showed as the product, proving how incapable those companies are, took the time to make sure everything was perfect and it was delivered within an hour!! I thankfully went from being devastated to being elated and my friend LOVES the balloons and stuffed animal packaged beautifully by April's. read more

$75 for a very pathetic arrangement. one lilly, two roses and a stick, roses were starting to wilt already. arrangement was only about 8 inches high which I asked for a couple of lilies and a mix of whatever for around $60. Was expecting something taller and much nicer. Owner did offer a credit towards another arrangement though and staff is friendly. But quality of arrangements and flowers was not good for that high of a price. read more

This business is not only into lovely and colorful design - but it also works with integrity and elegance. Nowhere like it that I know of!

How do these people even stay in business? I called to ask a question for a destination wedding that we are planning in November. I called this shop on the recommendation of a friend. The lady that I spoke with had no idea what she was talking about. She kept saying..... Well it depends, Well it depends. Depends on what? I'm calling you to find out what the cost is, what the time line could be, and if what my fiancé wants is even possible. I asked if she needed some time to do the calculations and get back to me. Well it depends. I then asked if she could email me some picture of things that they have done. Thinking perhaps I wasn't using the right terms or words. That's why I'm calling. I'm not a florist - you advertise that you are. Well it depends on what you want to looks at. AGGGGHHHHHH!! This is one of the most frustrating conversations I have had in a good long while. Finally, she starts asking someone else questions and starts providing me prices for a bouquet, boutonnieres, and small table arrangements. I want to purchase some flowers for a wedding. Not the entire store. Do yourself a favor and find a different florist. These people have no clue what they are doing. read more

Hands down the best flower shop and people to work with. Natalie sat down with me in the beginning and took what I was trying to say that I wanted and turned it into more than I could of ever wanted. My flowers at my wedding were beautiful and absolutely perfect! She was so sweet and quick to respond to any questions that I had. With no hesitation, they even made a last minute arrangement for us the day of when we realized that we needed one more. I can't say enough about Natalie and the staff. Such a cute shop and such great people. They also made a couple of arrangements that were sent to my hotel room from a couple people. They were gorgeous as well. Thank you so much for everything and for making my wedding beautiful! Yall are amazing! read more

I went to April's Garden to order flowers for my mom's memorial service. I came with a few pictures of what I had in mind for flowers around her urn. I also showed the color of the urn and asked them for recommendations of flower colors to compliment it. After discussing the arrangement we decided to add two additional side arrangements for candles. She was very patient in working through the details and providing recommendations. The price quoted was great (much better than anticipated) so we proceeded with the order. When I picked up the arrangements two days later, I could not have been more pleased. The arrangements were absolutely beautiful and met every request and more. I could see they were happy to see that I was happy with the flowers as they knew they were for my mom's service. I felt they were very invested in making the arrangements perfect and special. I highly recommend April's Garden! read more
