Selection for florists in the small town we got married in is limited, so we started to look in some of the larger cities around our venue location. We went to the Durango bridal expo and met Ami at her booth for trendy stems. The booth had the most beautiful fresh flowers and a stunning arch and some additional rentals. I knew we had to use her company at that juncture. We didn't need anything fancy but I definitely wanted real flowers for our bouquets and for the party. Ami and Trendy Stems hit it out of the park. I had a few calls with Ami to confirm the look we wanted in the florals. My now husband changed his suit color last minute but Ami was still on top of it. She was incredibly communicative and so helpful in making sure the flowers came out exactly how we wanted. She even warned that certain flowers have different shades and apologized for the way they turned out on the day (so beautiful, totally unnecessary apology). She has been respectful of the budget as well; my mom wanted to pay for the florals and gave me a strict spending limit. We were able to get most of the tables with real greenery, the ceremony had real flowers on the arch to match our bouquets, the bundles of flowers we ordered for the ceremony turned out great and Ami and her team did an amazing job. I would recommend them for every big event and anyone who wanted flowers for their day. Stunning.

We ordered a "Natalie's Favorite Blooms" bouquet, and increased it to The Best with a base cost of $269. With delivery and tip, the final bill was $341.19. We all expected something spectacular with a big Wow factor to brighten up our friend' hospital room and home when she was released two days later. You'll see from the photos, we didn't feel the value was worth it. Also, the bouquet was noticeably wilted and a bit sparse after four days. The owner explained that the photo didn't do it justice because the flowers are mostly locally grown and generally last 3-5 days. We wish we had been aware of these very important details. We just didn't find the kind of value we had expected.

Operating on the concept of "It's the thought that (mostly) counts" I always look for the most economical choice. So I chose the "Visions of Love" which mysteriously isn't listed now!! :-) Ordered the flowers on Monday and they arrived at the hotel on Tuesday as requested. Kudos for that. It was a nice bouquet (Kudos for that) but .... So I opted for the no extra cost low end arrangement which is: less flowers. But I was a little disappointed when my love sent me a picture and I went back and compared it to the online picture. It's the same vase so they got that right (but which she'll abandon when flying home.) Anyway you be the judge... Included is the "ordered" picture and the "received" picture. For privacy I had to crop the picture she sent me. The conclusion is that they show the higher price bouquet in the marketing display but if you don't spend the extra $20 or $30 you get the anemic version. And they don't mention that they're doing that.
