We cannot say enough about the Apria in Eureka. We were traveling and my husband forgot parts for his CPAP. We realized it just a few minuted before they closed. We called and were on hold as the clock struck 4pm. I figured they wouldn't pick up but stayed on hold just in case. Around 10 minutes after closing an angel picked up. She said they might be able to pull something together for us. We showed up the next morning and she had a hose and mask ready to go. My husband was in the hospital after a very serious back surgery. They told our case manager they would deliver his walker (that he cannot move without) and toilet seat Saturday before his release. We received texts saying they would be delivered and we would receive a call soon. No calls. We noticed they were closed Saturday so our case worker found a number and called. They confirmed delivery address and said they would deliver today, Saturday. My husband got home and, thankfully, we borrowed a walker from a friend because they never showed up. Had we not had our friend's walker would would have had to return to the hospital. After caling Apria on Monday, the people were helpful and I found out that they outsource their weekend phone calls and that the company used does not know they are closed on weekends. She did say, however, that they have a representative who physically goes to St. Joe's every week and that they have been told numerous times that Apria is closed on weekends. She also told me that Joe's has a closet containing the Apria supplies we needed and it could habe been given to us before we left. I appreciate the quick help we received after they discovered thay we had a problem and the willingness to expedite our order ajd get us our supplies. I originally wanted to giv 1 star but now see that this is more of a problem with St Joes than with Apria. read more

This office appears to be absolutely incompetent. I have been waiting about 9 months to get my cpap equipment. This office has lost my sleep study three times that I know of, in addition to losing other paperwork multiple times as well (like my prescription). I have severe sleep apnea. I cannot understand how they stay in business as they place their patients at higher risk of heart attack and leave their patients with a shorter potential lifespan. I have several friends who have had similar reprehensible experiences with this office. I also have friends who have sleep apnea like me and it took them just a couple weeks to get their equipment. If one cares about their health and well being, they would do well to avoid Apria Healthcare in Eureka. I just don't understand why Apria chooses to place my life at risk! read more

My father in law is oxygen dependent. I had no idea what to expect when he came to stay with us over a year ago. I've been in to the store and had umpteen deliveries throughout this past year. They are always accommodating, polite and fast with delivery. In office staff is always friendly and quick to help me figure out what to get him. The drivers are friendly and carry heavy bottles in and will check old bottles to be sure he has what he needs. They have even mailed supplies the doctors order for him. I highly recommend Apria for going above and beyond for life saving equipment needed for everyday living. read more

Dealing with Apria has been without a doubt some of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I need CPAP supplies twice a year, and to get them in a timely and efficient manner is seemingly impossible. For some incomprehensible reason, each part is delivered separately, and as a result it can take over a month to get something that should only take less than a week. Orders seem to disappear entirely, requiring repeated reminders to Apria to fulfill. Whether this is out of sheer incompetence or a tactic to get me to buy my supplies outright through their online store, I don't know. It's honestly disgusting how this company treats people who need medical equipment in such a cavalier manner. read more

I was issued a CPAP unit by having it slid across the counter. No mask fitting no consultation. I have been double billed,billed for equipment I have not received. Customer service is offshore and impolite at the very least. My experience with this corporation is beyond bad. read more

She tracked down all the paperwork needed to get my husband set up with his cpap and put up with all my phone calls and checking in with a smile and great attitude! Absolutely AWFUL. worst service i have encountered. My ENT doctor requested equipment from them a on a Tuesday of a work week so i could run some tests to verify my surgery appointment that was a short three weeks away. My ENT told me that they should contact me later that day or Wednesday (the next day). While I was at work on Wednesday afternoon, Apria called me and I was unable to answer the phone. They left a message giving me a phone number to call them back at so i could schedule a pick-up. The phone number they gave me was their general office (the 1-800 number). I called back within 10 minutes, and a woman I spoke with said that they had not created a profile for me yet, and that they would call me back later that day or Thursday once they had made one. Weird that they didn't have a profile ready for me before they had called me to schedule my pick-up???? Thursday I waited patiently for a phone call that never came. Friday, i decided to call my ENT office and left a voicemail about my troubles and hoped that a nurse at my doctors office would pressure Apria. The ENT office called back and said they contacted Apria and they said they have been trying to get ahold of me (WHAT?!? they only called me that first time on WEDNESDAY, they have NOT been trying to get ahold of me, I have been trying to get ahold of THEM) and that i should expect a call from them today. The ENT gave me the Eureka offices phone number so I didn't have to go through all the obstacles just to get to the Eureka office through the general phone number. I did NOT receive a call on Friday, so i decided to call them. I called the eureka office and they said they'd make a note that I have been in contact with someone from Apria in eureka and have the woman who handled pick-ups call me later that day. NO CALL. MONDAY, I called Apria in Eureka. They said yet again that they have been trying to contact me. NO YOU HAVE NOT, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY CALLS OTHER THAN THE VERY FIRST ONE LAST WEDNESDAY. I HAVE BEEN THE ONE TRYING TO CONTACT YOU. They then said they would make another note that i contacted them for their pick-up handler to call me later that day, but i did not receive a call, AGAIN. TUESDAY, i called at about 8:30 in the morning asking to pick up my equipment because my surgery will be in two weeks, and i need the tests ran in enough time before my surgery. They said that they do not do same day pickups and that i should be receiving a call later today to schedule a pick-up time for the equipment. I gave them 5 hours to call me, and once they hadn't, i called them at about 1pm. The lady on the phone was very rude informing me that I needed to be patient and that she had already talked to me this morning and told me that i will be receiving a call by the end of the work day to schedule a pick-up. STILL NO CALL. This is so UNBELIEVABLY FRUSTRATING. i have tried various times to contact this office to pick-up equipment in time for tests to be done and analyzed for my surgery but THEY HAVE DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO HELP ME IN RETURN. I am livid. I have done my part, they need to do theirs. They have called me ONCE while i have called them 5 different times. Any respectable business will call clients when THEY SAY THEY WILL to accommodate their needs. I am growing impatient, pissed, and frustrated with Apria in Eureka. very difficult dealing with such a large coorporation. Its not possible to contact the local office directly, not even if you are returning your providers call. you have to call through the regional opperator who does not know the people in your office or any details about your case. It becomes a huge phone tree/tag cluster f*ck. The coorporate office CONSTANTLY has a automated call to get me to fill out surveys and buy more equipment, yet the auto call says call back, but does not leave a number. I tried to have my number removed from their list, but they still call. ugh!!! read more

I have been on a CPAP machine for a year; it doesn't help me.I am just as tired in the morning as when I went to bed. I kept telling my Dr. when I laid down at night. I felt I had a hard time breathing. Finally I had a x-ray on my shoulder because of an injury; and the Dr. reading my x-ray said he felt I had a paralyzed Diaphragm on my right side. I had all tests done that was needed. Apria just ordered a Bi PAP machine; but guess what; when will I get the needed machine? I already from my issue having heart problems. I Had to rewrite this and fix my wrong in what I said originally.It hurt Apria lot losing the Philips machines . I think we are all tired and fed up with all we have been through with covid. Imagine all the extra ventilators Apri had to try to come up with? I am going to try and be patient: having patience as I have gotten older is trying. I remember when life was simpler and not so stressful. Hang in there: please don't blame Apria. I believe they are trying. read more

When I was prescribed a CPAP, my doctor recommended Lincare. Figuring that my doctor knew better than my friends, I went there. I shortly realized that the Lincare people do not have systems that supported them. Indeed, the employees were pleasant but they apparently weren't trained. Their respiratory therapist was only available a few days a month and he could not give me a mask that fit even after 2 tries. They claim that my mask was a special order and they don't stock them. And ... they gave me a used machine which they claim was acceptable to Medicare! Adding salt to the wound, they continue to send me a bill for $9 even though I had to spend $60 to purchase the mask that fits. In frustration I took the *giant* step and returned my machine. Apria understood my desperation and gave me a new machine until I could get my paperwork completed. I cannot lie, the move was a major challenge, but the people at Apria were always supportive. They had a warehouse of supplies behind them and every time I had an issue with equipment their RT was available and helped with a pleasant smile and attitude. I called/visited Apria multiple times during the paperwork process and was always greeted with happy, concerned people that had the authority and systems to support my needs. In fact, the local people warned me about the corporate ordering system and gave me guidance on how to work that system. Given my experience, I can't understand how so many people have given them a one star. I would recommend Apria any time, especially when compared to my Lincare experience. read more

Dealing with with this organization is like taking a trip into Hell. Phone contact is routed through a switchboard which sounds to be located in another country - the accents and spoken English are hard to follow. No fax or phone communication is given out for the local office. Information is taken by phone and then....nothing. No one calls, no one follows through...days and even weeks later. Save yourself time and aggravation, go directly to the local office and talk to someone live and in person. At least you will have a far better understanding of the length of time and the absurd number of hoops you will have to jump through before you get the medical equipment you need. I've had dealings with this organization for 15 years off and on - and they haven't gotten any better during that time. read more

Excellent service! The local office staff in Eureka and Crescent City are professional, friendly and compassionate. I've used Apria on a couple of occasions for my parents; and most recently for my own needs. My only criticism would be in Apria's use of 'outsourced' services in India. There was mix up with my insurance information; and the Indian call center was less than helpful. Fortunately, I was able to obtain the toll free United States call center number; and the mix up was quickly resolved by 'on shore' staff. Keep up the good work Apria! But please stop outsourcing services ... (yeah, I know it's cheaper, but you get what you pay for). read more

My husband died last December and Apria picked up all his oxygen equipment. Six months later - today... I receive an box of supplies for my dead husband - via FedEx. When I attempted to phone the local Apria office, I got spun into the worst maze of recorded options I have ever encountered. None of the options - including pressing zero - allowed me to speak to a person. I finally in desperation picked a random option and was told (by a recording) that the wait for a live person would be 10 minutes. I hung up. I assume they are ripping off Medicare or whomever is the payor for these supplies. I'd better not get a bill. read more

i have used apria for a few years. they were wonderful to start. in the last three months they have gone way down hill. i can not get my supplies and i call the number on my email to reorder supplies and the give me th run around and won't let me talk to a supervisor. my insurance called them and also was stuck on the phone for hours and told they were going to submit a tar and still i have no supplies and no tar and no supervisor to talk to. i am very disappointed in this company read more

I was approved for a CPAP and Apria was recommended vs. Broadway Medical. So I was scheduled by their "call center" and when I arrived was greeted promptly, and met with the respiration therapist, Dina. Everything went great - she explained how everything worked very well and said to call back anytime I had any problems. read more

I would not use them ever again! I would not ever recommend them! They are very bad. The hospital ordered a bed for me through them. It did not come so they called them again and Apria said it would be at my house by 5:00 P.M it was not so my husband called and they said it would be here by a certain time, it was not. My sister called and they assured her it would be there that day. I went home in a Halo, I had a broken neck (C2) It came 3 day's later after my sister in-law got very irate with them. try sleeping in a chair 3 day's from your injury for 3 night's. When the bed came the delivery guy was very nice and very apologetic. He said this company does this all the time. He said he is the only worker for this area and he was not even working the day they said it was to be delivered. The other thing is he said Apria is based in a different country. Every time we called them we could hardly understand them. I think it was China! Don't use!! read more

The LOCAL Apria vendor was very informative and helpful. I was very impressed. Unfortunately most business, like reordering cpap supplies takes place with sales reps through a toll free number. These sales reps,, and the chain of people that handle your order, FAIL miserably more often than getting things right. I have had to wait MONTHS for items that should have taken a week. My insurance "Partnership" suggested that I file a grievance complaint, when Apria kept submitting the T.A.R. incorrectly. It took weeks and multiple calls FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY grievance department before they finally submitted the TAR in an online form as requested by my insurance. I was once sent an EMPTY box from Apria that was supposed to contain a cushion. They once messed up my order and didn't submit it at all, when I called a week later to check on the progress of my order, they basically LIED to me, and made it sound like my fault (for not waiting a full 7-10 business days) , while secretly resubmitting the order (Which they STILL MESSED UP!). My insurance gets a lot of complaints about Apria Healthcare. They get 1 out of 5 stars on the Better Business Bureau. read more
