Gabriel is great! Personable, genuine, honest and willing to talk to you first to both understand what is going on to provide sage advice and the appropriate solution. Gabriel helped me with my refrigerator and through the process, his genuineness and honesty shown through!

Gabriel helped me out twice. The first time was last year when my Samsung fridge was acting up. He was courteous, friendly, thorough and very prompt. The second time was just this morning when I called him for a filter malfunction o the fridge. On the phone he walked me through the simple process of resetting it. I sent him photos and he told me what to do. Gabriel is trustworthy.

Called Gabriel for Samsung refrigirator not cold, 2 hours window, after calling Appliances helper the tech Gabriel showed up, very clean and profecional diagnos the refregirator and orderd the parts. Super happy, it was fixed after 3 days.

I cannot say enough good things about Gabriel. He answered the phone right away, and after describing the problem with our dryer, he came the same day, luckily within an hour. He had most of the parts needed in his truck, and what he didn't have, he went and got the parts needed. Our Kenmore dryer is a heavy duty model and uses a wider drive belt. That done, our circuit board over heated without us knowing and ended up giving an error code. Gabriel came back, and diagnosed the problem, taking the circuit board with him, he repaired and installed the board on the following day. This saved us the cost of a new circuit board, and the dryer is working perfectly. Excellent service and knowledgeable. I found Appliance Helper on Yelp and was impressed with the volume of good ratings, which was why I chose Gabriel. I am a customer for life, though hopefully I won't need a lot of repairs. Thanks Gabriel.

I found Gabriel on yelp and when I call him he immediately pick up my call and said he will get back to me tomorrow cuz he is busy but he actually got back to me few hours later! I have a washer that doesn't spin and the water doesn't drain however my problem was a little bit difficult to solve because I build a storage for my washer and dryer and the space was so tight I thought I needed to break down the whole storage, so Gabriel came over and he actually fix the problem for me!!!thank you so much!!now I don't have to break down the whole storage! He was very friendly to talk to and service was fast and excellent ! I definitely kept his phone number for future services!

I called to ask about my fridge that suddenly stopped working and although it was last minute Gabriel was very quick to answer and work with our schedule to come see us. He was punctual, very polite and respectful. He did very honest workand is extremely professional. He also is very informative and educated us on our fridge for future issues. I cannot say enough how helpful Gabriel is. He responds right away (call if he doesn't text you back) and can usually come within a few hours. He has saved me on more than one occasion-- fixed my dryer after I attempted to myself, then on another occasion came within an hour and figured out what was wrong with my very old washing machine. He is SUPER knowledgeable about brands, track history of the appliance, and when it's better to fix versus get a new one. His prices are very fair. Moreover, he is courteous and KIND. As a single mom who knows nothing about this stuff, I really appreciate his insight and the fact that he SHOWS me what's wrong, what's working, etc and doesn't treat me like a moron. The were extremely professional they were very careful with their Covid protocol they explained every step of the process from their scheduling their timing to how they were going to diagnose the situation to exactly what they were going to do how much it was going to cost they were extremely respectful and professional and appropriately personable. They also squeezed us into the schedule and an extremely busy time and we're very gracious about it they're pricing was excellent their service was excellent I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a refrigerator repair and I will post pictures they fixed my subzero 33 year old refrigerator in about 45 minutes and it runs perfectly and their diagnostic skills were really extraordinary and detailed excellent people I would hire them again in a second and excellent choice. read more

Gabriel at Appliances Helper was recommended to me by our mutual friend. I called him and he understood the problem right away. There had been a technical failure in the HVAC iPad controller that was not working correctly. Not only did he come out right away but he called a couple of times to confirm the time, so some awesome customer service work right there! He showed up with his tech assistant and they worked on the problem for over an hour. In the end he told me that I had to get the company techs to come look at it and that eh wold not be able to fix it for me. What did he charge? NOTHING. He said it wouldn't be right to charge a service fee for just looking at hate system. Call this guy because he has ethics, I will call him back for the 6 month service work because now I know I can trust him. read more

This guy is not only knowledgeable in what he does, he's such an amazing person to deal with incredibly honest. We had the biggest problems with our washer and dryer and could not get this thing to function properly. I had no clue about washing machines so I called this gentleman. Very professional and he explained it so that you can understand the problem and how to fix it very clearly. He has even the most affordable prices, better than other places that charge an arm and a leg! Recommend him for any problems and questions you have. My dishwasher would start to wash then shut down. I called Gabriel he thought it was odd and worked with me over the phone. He had me go through the process while we talked and test each mode. Eventually he told me to pull it put and unplug it (my outlet is behind it ugh) and wait for a few minutes. That did it the system reset and it works perfectly! Nice guy very professional good ol' fashioned customer service - im having him service my AC next month! read more

My Fisher Paykel dryer had been making noise for a while but finally started to wail very loudly yesterday morning. I saw the review for him on this site so I called Gabriel Monday evening and he offered to have someone at my door the next morning. I had to work so he came out Tuesday evening. He was very friendly and honest. He looked a the dryer, then I mentioned that my washer was making some noises as well; it was loud but still functional. He actually advised me that I would be better off purchasing a new washer dryer set. I was about to throw good money after bad. He was happy to do the repair, but wanted to be honest with me. I appreciated his honesty so much! I would not hesitate to have him come out again, and would recommend him to anyone. He was prompt and so considerate, understanding the inconvenience of being unable to do the laundry. I am so happy to have someone that I can call that I can trust. Gabriel of Appliance Helper made it to my house after 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday because he said he would come today. My LG dryer was refusing to run with a bogus "Clean Filter" warning light. He had it taken apart and reprogrammed in about 15 minutes. He didn't even charge me. Plus he is a very pleasant man and funny! I highly recommend his appliance service. read more

Gabriel at Appliances Helper is the first appliance repairman that I have come across that is genuinely honest and fair. These are tough times now, and many are desperate to carve out a decent wage to just get by. In this context, I had an old freezer in my garage that seemed to die following a recent power outage. Gabriel provided prompt and efficient service. Since it was such an old freezer, I was not willing to invest much, but I did need a diagnosis and estimate for repairs to decide if the freezer was worth salvaging. Gabriel indicated that he would be more than happy to fix what he thought was a blown computer board, but instead of charging me for the part and repairs, he suggested that I could easily purchase the part on line and pop it in myself. He showed me how to do it and even emailed me the part description so I could order it myself. The level of honesty and generosity Gabriel demonstrated went far beyond ordinary, and I so appreciated the help. Gabriel at My Appliance Specialist was exceptional, and I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of refrigerator repair. We had an urgent problem when the fridge portion of our Samsung refrigerator began malfuctioning, causing food to spoil and the flooding of water under the rerfrigerator. We initially contacted a well known refrigerator repair company, and two young men were sent to our home. They looked at the rear panel of the refrigerator, and gave their opinion of what needed to be done. Through a friend we learned of Gabriel,who we sought for a second opinion. When Gabriel came and evaluated the problem, he showed us how the first repairmen misdiagnosed the problem. Instead of having to wait 10 days for parts, as the first repairmen told us, Gabriel obtained the needed parts right away and came back the next day to install the new parts and make the necessary adjustments. Gabriel was the only person that was willing to look at our portable dishwasher to see if he could fix it. He was very accomidating of our schedule, came to the house, was completely Covid-19 safe, wearing two masks, gloves and a face shield. He looked at the dishwasher and even though he could fix it advised us to replace it instead saying that he didn't feel that the wiring was stable enough and that it could be a safety risk.
