The heat went out on our Kenmore dryer so I sent a request for a quote to see how much it would be to have a technician come out and take a look. I heard back right away and they came out the same day. Edgar showed up before the scheduled time and was able to diagnose the problem within a matter of minutes. It was the heating element and he had a replacement on him so he was able to replace the part right then and there and gave us a 6 month warranty on it. He even cleaned out all the lint and showed my husband the biggest lint ball ever.. I couldn't be happier, my towels are drying right now. I called at 9am regarding my LG Dryer (it just stopped working last night) and they told me they could send a technician between 2-5 pm. The technician called promptly at 1:55 pm and arrived within 15 minutes. He found the issue and he is putting the dryer back together. It is now 2:55 pm and I am so thankful to have a working dryer again, washer and dryer is a must with three children! read more

Edgar came the day I called. Looked at my old Kenmore top load washer that was not spinning. He recognized the clutch was not working, had a replacement in his truck, installed it & was finished in around 30 minutes. Very professional & informative. The washer is working fine. The only thing I would recommend for the business &/or the consumer would be to see the old & new parts, just like car mechanics often do. It was something I thought of after he left. The price was $275 with the online $25 discount. I do not know how that compares to other repair services, but it seemed reasonable to me. I will use them again & recommend them to others. read more

Appliance Techie is by far the most honest and fair company I have had service my homes. As a Project Manager I hire multiple company's to repair appliances, garage doors, plumbing, pools etc. Appliance Techie surpassed any and all expectations for customer service. Appliance Techie was going to replace my cooktop ignitors. I received my quote of just over $230 which is far for that type of service. After I approved the cost they ordered to parts and came out to replace them. After they tried and found out the screws holding the assembly together were not going to come out they stopped gave me a call and let me know it would be best to replace the cook top because any further repair would cost more then a new one. The best part was they didn't charge me anything since they couldn't complete the job. Any other company would have charge me for the service call, parts and there 2nd trip out, trust me I know. The over all quick response and communication was more then I expected. If you are looking for a company that you know will not take advantage of you look no further. Unbelievable service! This morning when I realized my dryer was not heating up I called Sears Appliance Repair Service. It was a two-week wait for an appointment and $95 diagnostic fee. I look online and saw the reviews for Appliance Techie. I called at 1:00 pm and got an appointment for 3:00 pm same day. Dave the tech was on time, courteous, fast and efficient. I called Edgar to my house because of problems I was having with my washing machine . It was not washing or spinning . Edgar came out the same day (on a Saturday !!) to diagnose it . Unfortunately our washer has an issue with the transmission . Edgar gave his honest opinion that it is not worth to fix and even didn't charge us the diagnosis fee ! Ed from appliance techie called me about half hour before coming to my home to let me know he will be on his way as soon as he finished the job he was doing. Once he arrived he put on booties before he entered the house. He then asked me what was wrong with my stove and I explained to him that it makes ticking noise all the time even after we turn the burners off. He examined the stove-top from top and bottom. Looked around with a flashlight and then told us that the circuit that controls the igniters had shorted out and it would be a costly repair. He then went outside to check on parts and came back with an estimate. The cost was too high, it would be better to buy a new stove he recommended since ours was 7 years old. I told him we didn't want the repair. he said that's fine, there would be no charge for his service since he didn't have to do much to diagnose the problem. I insisted to pay him but he declined. I thanked him and he went on his way. I was thoroughly satisfied with ed and his company. read more

Wow! Ed fixed the self cleaning function on my oven and I couldn't be happier. Not only was Ed extremely polite and pleasant, he was knowledgeable and able to quickly diagnose the problem. And, although my initial appointment was for a three hour "window," Ed called early in the day to let me know that he would actually be here about 2 PM. He again called about 30 minutes before his arrival to give me some heads up. Not having to wait at home for three hours was a big plus. From my first call to this company, I was impressed with their prompt, professional response. My 20 year old dryer stopped working and we just didn't want to purchase a new one. Ed the technician was assigned to us and arrived on time. He even called me when he was 15 minutes away. When he came out he identified the problem right away. Since the dryer was so old, they didn't stock the parts to fix it. Ed ordered the part and in a few days he came back to install it and the dryer is running great! Our 2 year old washing machine sounds like a freight train roaring through our house. I called Appliance Techie to get the washer evaluated and repaired. After describing the situation to a gentleman there, he advised me that the problem was probably the bearings and that it would probably be more cost effective for us to go buy a new washer, but since the washer was only 2 years old, maybe we should try the manufacturer's warranty department first. Appliance Techie could have taken the job and made money on the repair but they were looking out for the best interest of their customer. After talking to the warranty department, I called Appliance Techie back to ask a few questions and another gentleman was very helpful again, and we will be buying a new washer today. That said, I have rarely ever encountered such a reputable and customer service oriented company! Next time I need an appliance repair, Appliance Techie will be on speed dial. read more

Our freezer was not keeping our food frozen any longer. I read all of the positive reviews and decided to contact Appliance Techie. I called this past Friday to get an over the phone quote. Yanna was kind enough to have a tech call me back. Edgar called back in less than an hour. He gave me quote over the phone based on what I knew was wrong with the freezer. He gave me a rough estimate. I called back Saturday morning to make an appointment for a diagnostic on the refrigerator. Edgar set the appt between 11am-2pm and he arrived at 11:30am. He even called before he arrived. Edgar checked out our fridge and it turned out to be worse than what he expected. Edgar said it would cost more to fix the refrigerator than buying a new one. We truly appreciated his honesty! Not to mention, he waived the diagnostic fee. We were so impressed with the quick and honest service!
