On August 23, 2019 I purchased what I thought would be a nice freezer for $250.00. We took it home…read moreand it worked for maybe a week. Alec's sent someone over to our house to fix the freezer twice, each time the freezer would no freeze. The second time they were out to fix the freezer, the son stated that they do not have another freezer comparable to the one we purchased. He also guaranteed that what he was doing to the freezer would fix it. I called Alec to let him know that I wanted them to come pick up the freezer and be reimbursed the $250.00. Alec said they had another freezer that he was going to exchange, I thought okay. I took bread out of my kitchen freezer which was frozen, by the time I got home from work the bread was thawed. I called Alec's back and let them know and that I wanted them to come pick the freezer up and be reimbursed my $250.00. Alec stated he would pick it up on Monday October 28, 2019. I called them back on Monday to see when they would be at the house and Alec stated that he could not pick it up that day but would pick it up Tuesday. He also told me about they have had theft there and the police were involved, I told him I was sorry to hear about this. I called Tuesday to see what time they would be at the house to pick up the freezer so I could let me son in-law know and he stated he could not pick it up until tomorrow which would be Wednesday Oct. 30. I asked Alec about the reimbursement and he stated that he would have $250.00 cash with him when he would be picking the freezer up on Tuesday. Alex called me today Wednesday October 30, 2019 at 10:00 AM and stated that he would be at the house in a couple minutes. I let me son in-law know and he waited for him to show. My son in-law texted me at noon and stated that no one showed up. I called Alec's again and the son answered stating that his father was at the house and waited for 20 minutes and no one came to the door. I let the son know that my son in-law was at the house the whole time waiting for him and no one came. The son was very rude and would not let me talk, every time I tried to say something he would talk louder and rude. The son stated that they hired someone to go with his dad to pick up the freezer, which I'm pretty sure was a lie. He finally hung up on me. I will never go to his place of business again, unfortunately this was an expensive lesson learned for me on the dishonesty and rude business. Be cautious and make sure you take someone with you that can check out the appliance to make sure it will for sure work if you want to purchase something from this business.

Okay, this is via the hubs, who cannot stop RAVING about Alec's Appliances since Jeremy fixed our…read moredryer. Our dryer is about 10-15 years old (who keeps track?) and never gave us a problem until the other night, when it started making this horrible noise we could hear all the way upstairs from the basement. We weren't sure if this heralded the death of the dryer, but as it was still heating up we thought we'd give repairing it a shot. How often do you get an appliance repaired? We hit the phonebook and had no idea who to trust, but a phone call revealed that they'd stop at the house and look for $45, which is not an unreasonable price to determine if we'd have to go buy a whole new dryer. Anyway, Jeremy was there when they said he'd be there (actually he was early), which is a major plus, and within 10 minutes he had diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and headed off another pending issue with lint buildup and funny-moving glides, whatever those are. Labor is not included in the service charge, which might be a negative if your appliance actually needs to just be taken in for repairs, but if it's a quick fix, it's worth it. In all, we got great service at a reasonable (about $100) price, and probably another 10 years out of our dryer. Alec's also does all manner of other appliances (washers, dishwashers, but not toasters and blenders and that sort of thing), and we'll be calling them if anything goes wrong with another appliance.

I love their selection because it's clean and in nice condition. I always walk away feeling good about the transaction and value of the products for the price. I won't use any other furniture rental place in the area. In fact, the one I was using is coming to pick their stuff up which is being replaced by Aaron's, next week.

When I went in I asked the saleswomen if this was R2O and she said "yes" but we sell also. Good, I am looking for a TV and Sears does not sell them anymore. "I like to keep my money local". She showed me a Samsung 55" that she said, "It is the latest and greatest"! I just put it on display a couple of days ago. This being the 6th month of 2018 I just figured she ment it was a 2018 or 2019 model. Wouldn't you? I was sold a 2017 discontinued model, unknowingly, until I went on line and researched the model number this 2017 model was being cleared out at Costco, Best Buy and Samsung for $600 less than Aaron's charged me. When I called and asked about a price match I got into a heated discussion with the Franchise Manager and he would do nothing!! A salesperson said, "Once it is delivered, sorry, IT's YOURS"! What a weird thing to say to a customer that just paid $2027 cash for a 2017 Samsung TV. Also, when the TV was delivered it cost $35 (never told there would be a charge). No invoice offered by the driver. NOTHING! This whole thing has been very upsetting. And no recourse or offer of customer service. From start to finish deceptive and unprofessional behavior! And try to reach Aaron Corporate....IMPOSSIABLE, especially if the store is a franchise store, and not Corporate owned. I am not giving up. I am a business women and KNOW what is right and this was not even close!! Save yourself the heartache and the headache. Nobody deserves to be treated and talked to like this! Shop elsewhere even if you must buy out of town. Cheers.

He only replies to emails if you threaten to withold payment and have someone else finish the job. He installs improper electrical components and oh, by the way, has multiple violations registered against him on the WA state labor and industries webpage. A week after he finally finished the job I got a letter from Pacific county stating the job was not permitted. You'll never believe it but he won't return my calls or emails so I filled out the permit application myself and sent in the check. Shame on me for choosing Stowe Mechanical to do the work. I hired them to put new coolant lines in the freezer boxes on my charter boat- the boxes were working great, but I wanted better flex lines. They no showed 8 or 9 times and when they finally showed up, they did not seem to know what they are doing. Fast forward to July of 2018 and my coolant lines are leaking. The only way to get Stowe show up is to physically go to their office and force the front desk people to get Brandon on the phone. Even then, Brandon Stowe always has an excuse as to why he can't do the work. Even when he 100% guarantees he will be there the next day, he does not show up. I am probably going to end up suing him to get my $$ back, but from what I hear on the street, it may be too late, as I will be waiting in line behind a lot of people. Stowe, please do the world a favor and close your business and leave town.
