Time for installation atrocious. Had a dishwasher replaced and they didn't do the install for more than 2 weeks. Had a microwave replaced that took 26 days to install! They sent out the wrong crew initially and then booked us out another 10 days. I would definitely buy from somewhere else. read more

We purchased a dishwasher recently. The dishwasher is giving a code indicating the air gap needs to be checked. We called and spoke to Tony on 04/07/25. He said he would pass along our info to Dalton Service Center. He also said, if they do not call back by 1:30 same day, to call them. It is now 04/09/25 and Dalton Service has not called us back. I called them. No answer...only voicemail. I called Appliance Liquidators and spoke to James. As I was explaining our issue, he interrupted me mid-sentence to tell me to call Dalton Service. I explained we did and that they never called us from the request on 04/07/25. He took a patronizing tone and told me I have to talk to Dalton Service since he, James, "does not know" our schedule. He also indicated that if Dalton does not call back, we should call Appliance Liquidators so they can place me on hold while they call Dalton Service. However, he refused to do that on this, the second call. He did let it slip that we will have to call Dalton Service "two or three times to reach them". We now have a dishwasher we can't use. read more

Of their other 4 stores (list provided on my first visit), 3 #s are wrong and 1 isn't answering. Nothing available online. - Attempted intimidation to remove negative review: After things started going wrong, I updated this review. After finally hearing from the manager Adam, he apparently read my review. He called me back angry and tried to intimidate me to remove it. I refused to remove the review and stated I would not lie for him. I promised to update it if/when the fridge was delivered. He's called me a total of *3* times about the review. What happened: We found our dream fridge for a great cost. Melissa knew exactly which fridges to show us to meet our needs. We went to many other stores and we raced back to get our dream fridge before they closed for the day. Then Michelle "forgot" to schedule delivery. Despite repeatedly insisting on a manager, it took nearly 5 hrs (on a weekday) before hearing from one (Adam)! As noted above, I was unable to reach anybody else in the company, because the numbers were wrong. My fridge was delivered when the manager promised. They didn't properly connect the water line. We purchased a new refrigerator from here and are super impressed. We had gone to 2 different Lowe's locations and they were very busy and slow to help at Lowe's. Lowes told us the refrigerator we wanted could take up to 8 weeks to arrive. A friend recommended appliance liquidators. The salesperson was super knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The selection of appliances was massive. We got the same refrigerator we looked at Lowe's for considerably less money. Plus we were happy to support a local business. They delivered it and set it up within a few days, came during the time frame promised. The delivery guys were super careful and meticulous. According to the Google overlords, usage of the term "liquidate" is in serious decline; since peaking around 1950, we've been dropping the word from our lexicon like a bad habit. I'm going to guess this has something to do with all of the smarmy salesmen who, over the years, have used the term as a ploy to rip off the general public. "We're liquidating our inventory with INSANE prices" or "Check out Auto Liquidators for no hassle, no credit, no problem vehicles today." You know the type. To say I'm wary of a business that titles itself a Liquidator is a big understatement. Ten years ago I visited Appliance Liquidators because my realtor, who sold me a rather shoddy house, told me to buy my new refrigerator there. I did. It was a Frigidaire that ran for ten years, and I was happy with it, but over the years it cracked and broke from the inside -- shelves and whatever. This weekend I replaced it, and I purchased a clothes dryer, to boot, and I think it says a lot that I chose to come back. Are the prices the lowest in town? Doubtful. But the service is no-nonsense, and the frills -- delivery and installation -- are definitely affordable. This time around I worked with Kenny, homeboy was anti-salesman, just like, "Hey, if you just need a simple dryer, go with this one, it's our best deal." And the guys who removed my old junk and brought the newbies -- from Builders Source on Menaul -- were absolutely terrific. In fact, I'm feeling inspired to review that company, as well. My dishwasher broke. I had a large stack of dishes and company coming from out of state. The big box stores told me they were one week out for installation. Kenny matched the sales price at the big box stores and I was able to get next-day delivery and installation! That transaction took about 10 minutes. My company arrived to find a clean kitchen. Purchased new washer and Dryer from this place. We needed commercial washer and dryer and bought top of the line Maytag ! Washer broke down not even a year old had to get a service call . Now not ever 3 years old has broke down again and we have been waiting 3 weeks to get the washer repaired again ! What a piece of garbage, this place will sell you anything too make a sale ! It would be better if they offered even an in store 6 month warranty. Bought a beautiful Samsung double door refrigerator with ice and water dispenser. The ice make started leaking about two week after we had it delivered. But we assumed our two year old was just pushing the water dispenser. Found out what it was and when we called couldn't even get assistance with parts let alone tracking down parts for a DIY project. They definitely have nice pieces in their store though. read more

I have bought appliances from them before & have always been happy. But this time Tony went way above & beyond to help me out. My built in oven went out in September & no one has any to fit my cabinet. We finally decided to just get a new electric range & replace the cooktop & the built in oven. Delivery was scheduled. Then the granite getting cut bigger couldn't be done for 2 weeks, called & said I need to postpone the delivery. Granite was finally cut, cabinet taken out, electrition comes to put in the 50 amp outlet & I find out when they built the house, they only used 30 amp wire! After all of my troubles, I'm now getting a new gas range. I thank Tony so much for not losing patience with all my changing appliances & canceling delivery appointments. I found a stove on their website that I wanted to purchase for my mother who is a senior citizen. Their website does not give costs for delivery and set up so I called them directly to make the purchase. After giving them my credit card information and arranging delivery, they left me on hold for a few minutes, came back and told me that they couldn't sell me the stove for the price listed. I'm pretty sure that's illegal. He told me it was the managers decision. I went on the website and was able to purchase it from there. I then called to arrange delivery, they said they would call me back but never did. In the meantime, they deleted the price from the website and never sent me a confirmation email. This business is shady, unethical and has a horrible business acumen. Go somewhere else! read more

I recently bought a dishwasher here. They seem to have a good selection, including a decent scratch and dent inventory. The dishwasher seems to be working well so far and it was super affordable (scratch and dent!) but the installation process turned out to be a huge hassle. When they brought it over to install they realized they couldn't remove the old dishwasher because of the tile around it. They said there was nothing they could do and that I would need to hire a contractor to take care of it. Then the delivery guy said he could do it for $100 and that they would refund me part of the installation fee. I never heard back from him and when they called to refund me the installation fee I asked about this possibility and they said, "No, we don't do that." They then gave me the number of a contractor who might be able to help. I called him and explained the problem, and he said he'd call back in 15 minutes--never heard from him. I finally found a handyman who was able to remove the old dishwasher (without doing anything to the tile) and install the new one--in the middle of the job he realized they hadn't included a hose with the new dishwasher so he had to run to Home Depot to buy one. Overall, their selection is good and prices competitive but I was disappointed in their lack of professionalism. They even said that they encounter this issue with dishwashers all the time, so you'd think they would have a better system for dealing with it, or at the very least a few good (and not completely flaky) contractors they can refer people to. read more

After purchasing a new home the bills start to add up and the fixes/updates list becomes long and daunting. One of the must replace ASAP items was our stove top. Not only did it look dated it just wasn't up to par and by that I mean you could touch the burner on high and not flinch in pain. Heating up a pot of water would take a good hour plus. So we started looking online for the best bang for our buck and struck out. Either they were out of stock, wanted a ridiculous amount for shipping or way out of our price range. A friend recommended we give them a go, so on a Friday morning we walked in not holding our breath. We were quickly greeted asked what we were in the market for and pointed to the display area. Soon after Kenny came up, introduced himself, he was very pleasant and to the point. We told him we needed a gas stove top, 30 inches and stainless steel. We waited for a sales pitch and his response "You looking for the biggest bang for your buck?" We were perplexed...really no sales pitch on the most expensive item? No showing us tons of options? "Let me run to the back see what we have in stock and I'll give you guys a great deal." Well I'll be! He sure delivered. He found us a great stove top, great price, could walk out with it today. We like to compare prices so we informed him we'd mull it over and he was fine with that. He even gave us the option to shop around the competition and call him to see if they could match what we found or he'd give us his honest opinion of a good deal. Needless to say we went back later that day and purchased the stove top. In and out 5 minutes. The only miss was we had to go elsewhere to pick up the item but as it was on the way home it didn't put us out of our way. I'll definitely go back when the time comes to update the other dated items in our new home. read more

Ordered a dryer from this company a couple of weeks ago and my sales rep Kenny caught the fact that the one that came in was electric and not gas (which I needed) thank goodness he was alert and caught it. Got the right one in and Robert delivered it on Monday. I must say he did an outstanding job. He was efficient, polite, neat and tidy. He explained everything to me and was finished in under 20 minutes. From start to finish; this company did a fabulous job! They know the meaning of customer service and the customer is always right! I used to love this place and have bought all of my appliances there in the past. Recently, I bought a new home and all we needed was a refrigerator. Per my past experiences, we returned and the sales people were helpful and friendly while we were there. We ordered and paid for the refrigerator prior to moving in and scheduled the delivery for a month out once we would be in the home. They refused to offer delivery windows and since we were closing on a Friday morning and they couldn't guarantee to deliver after 10, we were forced to have a Saturday delivery. They charged a fee for that, which we paid up front, and informed us they would call the morning of to let us know a time frame for delivery. The call never came, so after they had been open a few hours, I called. My salesperson answered and informed me they were too busy to deliver and had moved my delivery to Tuesday. I let him know that was unacceptable and we would be canceling the order if they could not follow through on our date scheduled a month prior for which we paid extra. He asked for time to work on it. Eventually, he called back and said he would be coming out to install it. He did that later in the day. We went to buy groceries and upon returning home noticed a massive puddle had formed under the refrigerator. As they were already closed and not open until Monday, we turned the water off and had to wait to call. When I called Monday, I was told I had to contact the repair department and was given another number to call. Upon calling them, they couldn't get out until Friday. I again called the main store and asked to speak to a manager, explaining this was unacceptable yet again. He agreed to have a delivery guy come out the following day to look at it. That happened and the man said it was indeed broken, but didn't know why. We said we wanted it replaced as we would not be having repairs done on a brand new appliance. They couldn't get that one delivered until the next weekend. No one called to confirm the order or apologize or anything. Friday, the repair people called in a panic trying to find us while we were at work. The main office had never canceled their work order. The new delivery occurred an hour after scheduled and the guys could not make the water features work. They left and said they'd have the office contact us on Monday again. Once they left, we discovered they had not pushed the filter in properly. No one ever called us, despite the fact that their last understanding was we still did not have a functional appliance. I don't know what has happened to this company, but we will never be shopping there again. I am beyond disappointed with the service and communication. read more

Appliance shopping is one of my least favorite parts of adult life. I'm not into fancy, high tech appliances. I like washers that wash, dryers that dry, and refridgerators that.... well, refridgerate. My issue with appliance shopping is that as soon as you walk in, the sales people are trying to hard sale you into whatever the most expensive, fancy item they have. It's just like hitting the car dealership- the vultures swoop in. Nope. Appliance Liquidators is different. Yes, they have sales people... the difference here is, they just want to help you find whatever you're looking for. This place advertises 'bare bones prices', and I feel like that's the truth. Our dryer decided to kick the bucket, and we headed here. We got a washer here a couple of years ago, and it was quick and painless. The dryer buying experience was the same. We asked to see the gas dryer with the largest capacity that they had, the dude looked it up in the computer, took us to it, we bought it, and were on our way. They do offer delivery and install, but we have never used that service. The appliances sold here are discontinued models, dented, or dinged. I can't say I'm mad about it- our dryer dries and fits the giant fluffy comforter off of our bed. It has a scratch on the back that I cant even see. read more

Well, I bought a scratch and dent JennAir (nice quality) dishwasher from them, and it worked fine for a while, then when the warranty went out, so did the dishwasher. I just had a repairman tell me that he opened up where the LED lights flash, and some parts were missing. Missing. Not lost or the tightened screws just happened to whooopsie fall out of the holes, but that somebody scavenged this machine for parts, put it back together and sold it to me as a scratch and dent. read more

I Purchased a Maytag washing machine from appliance liquidators. I had to wait eight days for delivery. When they did arrive my washing machine was destroyed on one side. The delivery guy said it must've happened between the warehouse and my house. He assured me there were more in stock. They could not get one to me that same day so I had to wait yet another day for my washing machine. I was told that it would be delivered early in the morning so I got up and ready and by 11:45 AM I didn't have my washing machine. They are scheduled to deliver between 1 PM and 3 PM today. They explained that their delivery personnel started work very early and they couldn't expect them to add a delivery at the end of their long workday. I agreed. But in my opinion, if no one else could do it, the store manager should have delivered my washing machine yesterday as promised. I have already gone 8 days without a washing machine. Soooo nice when local people step up to the plate to solve a problem. I bought a microwave at Appliance Liquidators (where's that girl who says "Bare bones pricing every day"?) and was really happy with it, until one day, it died. No lights, no sounds, NO CLOCK! Called the manufacturer (LG) who wanted details and copy of my receipt. Yeah, it's gotta be around here somewhere. But instead I called App Liq and they said they would make me a copy. But why bother - just call OUR repair dept! Easy. And Francis came out a day later. But bad news - "the control panel is dead. I'll order one and see you next week." Perfect. A few days later, bad news. LG said part is on "back order" - we'll let ya know. So I wait. And wait. Then LG needs some other kind of number. App Liq calls them for me. And again I wait, and finally have to call App Liq again. I KNOW it wasn't their fault, but maybe they could help? Yep! After hearing about the LG hassle, they stood up and did what LG should have: replaced a bad unit that they couldn't provide a part for with another unit. The guys at App Liq came to my rescue. And whenever I've shopped there, the sales people are really great. They don't push stuff on you, let you shop by yourself if you want and then they looked up prices from other stores before I bought. Once agina proving that LOCAL STORES ROCK!!! read more

We purchased a dishwasher in April and it did not run. The store was suppose to send someone out to exchange it or repair the item. After three weeks in a row of no one coming out we drove the dishwasher back to the store ourselves (1 1/2 Drive). While in the store they tried to exchange the broken dishwasher for another returned item and charge us an additional 150.00 for it. We declined an exchange and they said they would mail a full refund check to us. Well we have been waiting for the check for three weeks now and they keep giving us excuses. A manager will not call or speak to us and the store does not have a manager on staff. I have never given a store a bad review but this has been the worst experience ever. I was in need of a new refrigerator for my 78 year old home-bound mother. It was a fairly urgent purchase. There was a wide range of choices in the store, but my mom is really tiny and she wanted a shorter model fridge. Salesperson Kenny Bero helpfully led me right to the perfect model, and was very understanding when I told him I was going to price compare to see if there was a better deal before buying at Appliance Liquidators. When I returned to the store, having not found a better deal, he made the transaction efficiently and professionally. After the fridge was delivered, my mom called me to tell me how nice, hardworking and professional the delivery team was. She said "Nowadays its hard to find people that treat their customers so well, they were so nice to me." I was happy to buy from a local business instead of a national chain. Over the last 30 years or so I have purchased numerous appliances for myself or my parents at this place and in that time I had a few little issues but nothing major. They recently bought Baillios and their installation people are from Builders Source. I know this because several of the 5 or 6 different people I have had the displeasure of speaking with at both AL and BS have used the acquisition as an excuse for their pathetic lack of customer service, rudeness, bad communication, and general effed-up-ness. The problem I had a couple of years ago with a dishwasher where they installed it without venting out the pressure and caused me hours of cleaning and the cost of a plumber are nothing compared with the real mess they created when I recently purchased a refrigerator there. First, they arrive on the install day and both the install guys and I discover that the sales dude (Tony Aguirre) had not included my range hood (I also bought a range). I looked at my receipt and he also did not charge me, so kind of also my bad, but the jerk I spoke to at AL told me that Tony said "You never said you wanted one." So that implies I am lying and apparently hallucinated the entire walk around the warehouse and selection process where I picked it out. Okay, I let it go, ordered one from Amazon and got a friend to help me install it. The next day (a Thursday), my kitchen is a LAKE. BIG puddle under and in front of the fridge. I call AL and they say oh that is Builder's Source call them. So I call them and they say yeah we can send someone out to look but it will be next Tuesday. I ask what am I supposed to do about it until then and the reply was "How would I know?" So we mopped and sopped up water for 6 days. They show up on Tuesday and the dude pulled out the fridge and there is massive water damage to the wall because they installed it improperly and the leak had been filling up the wall for a week. He fixes said leak, takes pictures, and assures me his boss will take care of it and will call me later that day (Tuesday). Wednesday I call and they don't know what I am talking about. After getting a bit upset I finally found someone who said he is sorry and his boss was supposed to take care of that and he would be calling me withing a couple of hours. No call that day. No call the next. Finally, on Friday I get hold of someone to tell them I am taking it to small claims court and they will be paying the court costs. Big apology and promise of another call. Finally I get a call saying the repair guy has to schedule a repair with me and will call me. Shocker - no call. It is now two weeks since this started and I am having to file complaints with BBB and fill out the paperwork to take to the courthouse. We need to put these criminals out of business. read more

NO ACCOUNTABILITY OR CUSTOMER SERVICE I purchased a new discontinued GE washer and dryer set from AL on June 15, 2018. Soon after delivery and installation the washer was found to be defective following a service visit and was replace with another unit. After delivery and installation of the second unit approximately several weeks later, I discovered scratches on the top panel as well as a poor install on my pedestals which cause an annoying vibration during the spin cycle. I made call to AL and a new top was ordered and installed two weeks later, but It would cost me approximately $20-30 for them to come out and address the pedestal issue. Upon the installation of the new top panel (which was damaged with a dent when installed) the service technician moved the washer for the installation and to both of our horror we discovered several Hugh gouges down the side of the so call new washer that were not revealed to me by the delivery personal. The service Technician called the sale person who informed him that there were no scratches, dents or gouges on the unit before it was delivered but did indicate that it was a floor model. I was shocked and disgruntled that I was getting a floor model. I agreed to a discontinued new unit from the get go not a floor model replacement. So, either way the gouges were either there before or the delivery personal damaged it during loading and unloading and did not informed me upon the install, not sure who to believe at this point. All I know is that I didn't agree to a scratch and dent purchase. After several back and forth phone calls the sales person inform me that his boss/owner would offer me a $75.00 credit, what a ridiculous offer. Just in the last two months I have lost ten hrs. of wages for a unwillingness to work around my schedule let alone a damaged product. the $75.00 doesn't even come close to my loss and inconvenience since this purchase. I am a very dissatisfied customer who would not recommend or purchase any further products from this company ever again, they don't believe in customer service, satisfaction or accountability. read more

I purchased an expensive Electrolux washer and dryer from Appliance Liquidators. I also bought the extended warranty on both units, at the time of purchase. I bought the more expensive units because I was hoping that the machines would last me several years. My last, cheaper, unit lasted me over 15 yrs. Unfortunately, this brand new unit lasted me a year and a half, before a large concrete block that was inside of the washer came undone. It measured approx. 15"x8"x5", and had to weigh about 10-15 lbs. This concrete block bashed all of the inside of the washing unit and the damages were more than the unit was worth. Appliance Liquidators sent me to another company to get it repaired. The other company wanted to offer me $225 as a "settlement" on the unit. That is how much I paid for the extended warranty!! To say the least, I was pissed!! This unit should have been repaired or replaced, or at least a 3/4 refund! I will never buy another item from Appliance Liquidators, Electrolux, or get it repairs by Dalton Service Center! I have been more than 3 weeks without a washer! Ugh!! read more

Never having bought a brand new washing machine without dents or scratches I took the plunge after Action Appliance's Mr. Gil Cotton said my old one wasn't worth repairing I went to Appliance Liquidators for a new one. I bought a Whirlpool High Efficiency washer December 13, 2018. It may reduce the water usage but that is all it reduces. It does not clean clothes or even begin to get food or dirt off my clothes. I called Whirlpool early in 2018 to let them know and was told if there was nothing wrong with the washer I'd have to pay for a service call, but the woman said it sounded like there was a problem. I scheduled the appointment and then cancelled it after finding out about $119 was the fee to come out and look. New washing machines are not cheap and I watch my money. Then I called Appliance Liquidators and they sent a repairman out for no charge because it was so new. He spent quite a bit of time diagnosing and said there was nothing wrong with the machine. It just uses less water. Recommendation was to wash napkins soiled items in a quick wash alone before adding them to another load of regular laundry, also I should use deep water wash. I have been following his advice for months and although some things are better it is still a major problem. Just today I ended up rewashing towels and napkins. But the problems persist and are worse because items discovered to have stains have them dried on, making them permanent. While new Whirlpool machinge maybe "high efficiency" as far as water use goes, it is a shame to find out clothes, towels and even dog hair remains after washing and drying. I will take an old fashioned washer any day I can and let everyone know what a horrid rip off these new "High Efficiency" machines are. I was told I could exchange it for a $900 Speed Queen. Of course I'd have to pay the difference. I think not! read more

You are saving $$ because you are not paying for the deluxe service you would expect from a department store.
