I've had appliance express out to my home three times to fix an ice maker, it's still broken. The repair guy is arrogant and incompetent at best. We have water leaking from the ice maker to the hardwood flours but the repair guy didn't want to pull the ice maker to check it out. He turned it on after an apparent repair that wasn't, a few hours later there's water coming out from under our hardwoods. This company is 0-3 fixing an appliance, good luck if you use this group. read more

I encountered the most rude customer service imaginable ... this woman who answered their phone was confrontational ... argumentative ... mean ... zero training on proper decorum when dealing with the public. As a result, we got into an altercation which was extremely upsetting to me. I called American Home Shield and cancelled the repair call and asked for an alternate provider. If the first person that one encounters has a horrible attitude, how good could the rest of their service be? I wasn't willing to chance it. l can't imagine how they remain in business with such rude and seemingly unhappy employees. read more

We had appliance express out to replace the dented metal panel on the dishwasher. Ever since their service the dishwasher will randomly make a chime sound. I called to have them come back out since it started after their service and I was told $150 for a service call plus any repair costs. DO NOT use this company unless you want them to create a different issue and then charge you to fix it. read more

Edit: Appliance Express sent another technician to our and secured the dishwasher to the cabinets - problem solved. My GE dishwasher stopped performing the wash cycles and it was apparent that it was a problem that I would not be able to fix myself so i decided to have a professional do the work . I scheduled an appointment to have a technician from Appliance Express to check it out. At the first visit I explained what was going on he took a look at it and made a diagnosis and said that he would have to get the part and come back again. The next available appointment was four days away so we scheduled for for him to return complete the repair. The same technician returned for a second visit, installed the part and it turns out that the part he replaced was not the problem. He made a second diagnosis and said a third appointment would need to be made. The next available time was five or six days out so it was scheduled. At the third appointment a different technician arrives, installs the part and fixes the problem. The next day I load dishes into the dishwasher and see that the machine is rocking and is not secured to the cabinetry. We find a screw on the floor and see loose brackets on the sides of the machine. The next day I called Appliance Express, explained what was going on and scheduled an appointment. The second technician arrives again for my fourth appointment and looks at the what is going on. He explains that he was not the one who removed the screws and is not able to remedy the problem as the holes have been stripped and the wood may split if he were to drill new holes. Long story short - after multiple visits and over $300, the original problem was fixed but a new problem created by the 'professionals' that they are unable to fix themselves. We were not notified by the first technician that he was unable to reinsert the screws and secure the dishwasher, we had to discover this problem ourselves and call Appliance Express out on it. . read more

I called for a dishwasher service and got a visit scheduled pretty quickly. The technician ran diagnostics and initially recommended a control board replacement. Paid ~$350 and note on the invoice said "Job complete" and the tech left. Turns out the problem (dishwasher stopping mid-cycle) wasn't fixed at all and we had to call them back. Eventually got the board swapped again and they simply refunded us saying the dishwasher was probably end of life and needed to be replaced. Well, ultimately I did about 10 min. of Googling, found out about possible issues with the drain hose, took the drain hose out, cleaned it up, put it back, and my dishwasher is now fixed and the issue immediately went away. Definitely expect an appliance technician should have been able to figure this out. read more

I could not be more grateful and impressed with Appliance Express. I purchased a dishwasher less than one year ago. It was for a vacation home and hadn't been used more than 10 times since we purchased it. It was leaking horribly! Obviously under warranty, I called Fridgidaire. After lengthy conversations sometimes rude treatment from Frigidaire ; they told me I could contact the repair company myself if I wanted resolution. My LG Refrigerator was seemingly stuck in defrost mode. The first tech sent out (Jon M) diagnosed sealed system failure and ordered parts. After parts arrived, 2nd tech (Arthur Book) said first tech was new and misdiagnosed. Ordered different parts. After parts arrived a second time Arthur returned and installed the parts, and now my ice maker no longer works. I called to have them return a 4th time and was told "We no longer take LG warranty work" and they refuse to return to repair what they broke. I have been without a working fridge for almost a month and am now working with another company to obtain repairs. I realize that this company has very high reviews, but this is a well earned 1 star review. They broke my fridge and refuse to return to repair it. read more

However, I am shocked that I had to pay $140.71 for him to adjust the door on my refrigerator to create a better seal. This is outright robbery. I rarely bad feedback on Yelp but this time is very disappointed. My downdraft ranghood have made some noise and I clear claimed the electric line work properly, it just cant vent out the exhaust. I call on 1/30 and appointment come on 1/5. after a quick checking they just told me that they cant fix it, we should look for a professional cleaning company for it and charge me $140 without solving the issue. In fact they open some of the sealing part and the rangehood become worse for exhaust leaking. They just suggest me to google and find the right person to fix it. This company is so easy to work with that I actually felt pampered. First, the office personnel is extremely polite and accommodating. Second, the automated system contacts you prior to your appointment to confirm it. On the day of your appointment, the system contacts you to advise you that your repair person is just wrapping up his previous job and will be at your house soon. And thirdly, when repairman, Luis Morales, showed up, I was stunned that he knew my refrigerator's issue within one minute. Amazing! It was better than going to see a doctor with a health concern. You spend time in the waiting room and then the nurse weighs you, takes your temperature, blood pressure, and gathers all the symptoms. Next, you see the doctor who might not even get your issue right. You miss half a day of work by then! In the past, other service folks have taken things apart and spent an hour mulling over an issue, not always solving the problem. I've seen little pieces of metal, screws and wiring all over the floor. Not anymore! Luis can identify your refrigerator, oven, washer, dryer or dishwasher's illness almost intuitively. I gathered that he has been doing his job for many years. Appliance Express performs warranty work for numerous manufacturers and businesses, including Lowes, plus any type of appliance repair, warranty or not. Scheduled service through Lowes for a warranty covered repair on our fridge in March and they contracted Appliance Express. Took a week to repair due to a delay in the first appointment and then having to order parts and wait for a second appointment. Now, in June, the appliance has already broken again and Lowes called this same company for the repair. Already two service calls and a week and a half and it's still not repaired. They were supposed to be back today and when I called to see where they were at they told me they are still waiting on parts and they "didn't know where I got that from" regarding having an appointment today. Poor repairs. Not timely. Awful customer service. Wouldn't recommend in a million years and have advised Lowes not to have them come back. read more

Appliance Express is the most inept repair company I have ever worked with. I had them first come out because my refrigerator ice maker was out. On a second visit, they claimed they fixed it. I woke up to a puddle of water under my fridge and a hot box. I had to throw out over $200 of ruined food. Then, after living out of a cooler, they send a different repair guy out. He claims the part that was put in is bad. This not only does not fix my fridge, it now makes a horrible noise. Now they have sent out a third repair guy for a fifth visit, and he claims he can fix it. My roommate or I have had to take off work 5 times now. They quoted my roommate a window of 8-10 am yesterday, and came out close to 5 pm. Unacceptable!!! read more

Now, the same problem has resurfaced, however, upon calling to have it fixed again, I was told that the warranty was only 90 days. Well, sometimes you win and sometimes you don't. Had an appointment for Factory Service on 10/2/2015 and Gerry came out to analyze. The e-mail that he sent to me during his visit said the unit needed and Inverter, Compressor, Dye Drier and Control Board assembly. They ordered the parts and Tommy came out on Friday 10/16/2015 and said that all he needed to replace was the inverter and said that the other parts were not necessary. As of Monday 10/19/2015 the freezer would not cool below 20 degrees. I called Tommy (the technician) on Monday and he said the office would be calling me in a day. On Wednesday I called them and they said they would call me back. Nothing. I called again today and they said they needed to order parts as they shipped the parts that were not used back to Kitchen Aid. Why would they order parts and not use them??? And then tell me that they need me to stay at home for yet another service call. As of today...still not fixed....still not working. Question: Why would I buy another appliance that would force me to use them under warranty? Any Maytag, Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid and Jenn-Air product that is under warranty, will need to be repaired by Appliance Express. Why would I put myself in that position? read more

ABSOLUTE - WORST - SERVICE !!! I'd give them a zero star if that was an option. The first guy showed up and started to diagnose but got up and left within 3-5 minutes without saying anything. The second guy came out, did a diagnosis, then told me that the company doesn't work on the item that he came out to repair, but LG is the one who sent them for the warranty repair. Spoke to Melissa who told me that they would NOT be coming back to finish the job because there was dirt and a few mouse droppings behind the appliance. Really happy with the service. Scott came twice, first for the diagnostics, then once the parts came in. Scott was very knowledgeable, considerate and accommodating. It was a pleasure having him at our house. He didn't leave any mess, cleaned everything up after himself, even though it was a big job. After a recent flood my dishwasher wasn't running properly so the builder called Appliance Express to come out. Joseph came out and identified the main problem very quickly. Namely, the builder hadn't turned the water back on after they pulled it out to redo the floors. Simple fix, turn the water back on. But hang on... Joseph didn't just do that and take off. He took the time to show me how everything on the dishwasher works and gave me some very useful tips for the future. For example - it's good to run the dishwasher with a coffee cup full of 9% white vinegar every now and then to deodorize and disinfect your dishwasher / disposal and help w/ scale build up. Good info. Also mentioned that getting the hot water running in the sink before you start the dishwasher helps it to run more efficiently. I never knew that but it makes sense now that I think about it. Props to Joseph for going the extra mile. Would definitely call him again. read more

Wow, where to start with this company. I don't have enough time or space to go into the full story of trying to schedule a time for someone to look at our washer. The woman who answers the phone was useless and had no clue about anything. Was on hold for over a hour, just trying to set the appointment. Was told they don't set appointment times and someone would call me the DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT TO LET ME KNOW THE TIME!! We have jobs, and I have to schedule a time to be home, so I need to know times. "We don't do that here." So I told her I was cancelling my "appointment", then all of a sudden, someone will be out today at 1pm. Sadly the techs who came out were amazing, very helpful and did a great job. I was so glad to be dealing with them. Even with the great work of the techs we will not be using this place again, and advise everyone to stay away. The hoops you have to jump through to even get an "kind of appointment" are not worth it. Stay far away. The techs I dealt with are 5 star, but sadly the rest of the company is so bad, I can only give 1 star read more

Lou S. did a great job for getting my washer fixed--I've tested it out twice after the repair and there is no more moaning sound that I had experienced before. Fortunately, Whirlpool was able to pay for the repair and parts (so shout out to them, specifically to Courtney M.) Scheduling was fairly quick as they have a dedicated team specifically for setting up appointments. They even went as far as to call me to tell me a space had opened up at an earlier date. If I ever am put in a situation when I need help with a repair (hopefully not anytime soon), they will be one of the first that I reach out to. read more

We got a brand new washer and the first time we used it, it made this awful burning oil smell. The warranty set us up with Appliance Express and I'm so glad they did! Joe came out and quickly replaced the motor. He left his cell in case we had any questions, and when it broke again the next day, he came out at 8pm, after all his other calls, and stayed until 11pm troubleshooting the problem! He got it working for the weekend and came back a few days later and fixed it permanently! This was back in May and we haven't had a problem since! Joe was kind, professional, and friendly. Joseph was the best and I would call him and that company again. My dishwasher was on the blink. He not only fixed it, but he advised me on better choices on the dials when I do a load. Also told me that I don't have to put the cube of detergent in the dispenser that is too small....says just as good to toss it in the washer. Also that a cup upside down with vinegar will keep my dishwasher smelling good. They price per job not by hour which I like. My job cost today was $100. They don't have current information on yelp and one place says they are closed, but they are not. They just moved. They have not changed their address on yelp. read more

My 3 month old whirlpool washer went out and constantly got stuck on the spin cycle. They sent appliance express as their local repair technician and I am so happy they did. Joseph came out and was very knowledgeable and just a delight to work with. He got straight to work and didn't waste a single second trying to get my washer fixed. It turned out to be a relay or something like that and he diagnosed and fixed the problem in under an hour. I received a courtesy call once the work was complete from appliance express to ensure I was satisfied with the work completed. I was so satisfied, I kept their information and have now used them again to repair my older freezer that no longer cooled. The pricing for diagnostics and repair are very misleading. When making the appointment I was told that there was a fee of $129.99 for a repairman to come to my home and diagnose my dryer. Then that $129.99 would go towards the cost of any repairs that needed to be made. Imagine my shock when the bill to replace a thermostat in my dryer was well over $200. For reference the part is around $50 and takes 1 minute to replace. When I tired to discuss the confusion with the repairman, his boss, and the next day the main office, all were very rude. The woman at the main office was extremely condescending and unprofessional. Save yourself the high fee and unprofessional behavior and go with someone else. Great service. Joseph fixed our new refrigerator's ice maker without even knowing he had done so. To his credit, he couldn't really wait around 1 to 2 hours to see if the first batch of ice was going to drop, but he did spend an hour running through several different diagnostic checks with his fridge technician tools. The refrigerator is under warranty and he thought he was going to have to order us whole new freezer door. However, all has been good for the past week now, and it has been producing ice like it should. I would definitely use them again. read more

Microwave broke and it was a warranty repair so Appliance Express was contracted. They were able to schedule an appointment for the next day and gave a 3hr window with instructions that the repair person would call 30 minutes before he arrived. Sure enough I got a call from him and he was there in the first 5 minutes of my 3hr window! Two guys showed up and were very cordial. They removed the microwave from the cabinet, took it apart to find the problem, had replacement parts with them, repaired it and put it all back together within 30 minutes! it works perfectly and there is no indication that it was ever taken out of the cabinet! Absolutely terrible, don't waste your money. Just to come out and give you an estimate they charge $100 fee for 1 appliance. They charge you $50/additional appliance just to look at them. They then say that if you get the appliances fixed the day of they will let you use those fees go towards the repairs. Except, first, they told me that those payments don't cover labor and secondly, they itemize them so that even though you spent $150 for them to come out they will only let you put forth $50 or $100 towards the repairs instead of the full amount. I had both my microwave and fridge that stopped working at the same time. Everything was working fine with my microwave except the heating element was out, which is was they told us. They said it would be $569 to fix it. The microwave didn't even cost that brand new, seemed a little ridiculous that it would cost more to fix one part on a mid grade microwave than not only how much it was brand new, but more than the most expensive brand new one at Home Depot , but whatever, I'll go buy a new microwave. The fridge wasn't cooling even though the freezer was working. Turns out a rod on one of the shelfs got bent preventing the door from shutting. He bent it back and realigned the funnel for the ice maker and charged $160 in labor, which I thought was outrageous, but The technician originally told me that that the $150 I was charged for the call would go towards the total Charges. (Not that big of deal, an extra $10), but They ended up charging me $230 to literally bend a couple things and tell me I have to buy a new microwave. Then when talking to customer they had to call me back about 6 times just to say that they could give me a $30 discount and pay $200 for absolutely no parts and for 10min of labor. . Appliance Express is the fourth service provider that LG has used to service the warranty on my brand new LG fridge, I wish they had been the FIRST. I am so happy that they were sent my way, they have been the most professional and courteous repair company yet. LG Warranty called to let me know that Appliance Express would be contacting me in the next 3-5 days to schedule a visit to review the problem with my new fridge. They called the next day to schedule a visit for two days later (I'd been trying to get someone out for 4 months). I received an automated call the day before the appointment to give me a 3 hour 'appointment window'. The day of the appointment the technician called with a 20 minute heads up. The technician was neat as a pin, professional, courteous and he even re attached a piece of the door that was on wrong (not part of the service ticket, I had made up my mind to just deal with it; it took 45 seconds, no charge). If I ever need service on an appliance in my home they are going to be my first call. read more

I needed a repair on my Maytag Washer. Al from Appliance Express was on-time and completed the repairs quickly. From what I described my issue when I called for service, Al anticipated what I needed and brought the new part to complete the repair the same day. He was very knowledgeable about the washer, extremely courteous and even played laser tag with my dogs. Definitely would call Appliance Express again for repairs and ask for Al. read more
