He provided the best price of 3 quotes, and even captured 3 things both other companies overlooked in their estimates, plus one mistake which would have been an increased cost to the HOA. He knows the code and does everything by the book, protecting the interest of the customer, with immediate communication to share his analysis & recommendations. My condo community has used many vendors in a variety of trades, and Robert's knowledge, communication, quick responding and fair prices make him shine above all others. He is the only electrician we will use moving forward. We've counted on him for major projects like full electric panel replacements for multi-unit buildings, plus 2 urgent service calls for other matters. Same day response to all! Highly recommend!

Shortly…read moreafter moving into a recently remodeled rental property, I noticed a strange smell coming from the utility room, and it was especially bad when I would operate my dryer. After my concern was brushed off by the handyman sent out to look at it, I reached out to this company to come and investigate my dryer. They were very clear that while they may not get the smell to stop, they would at least find out if my dryer could be the culprit. The tech that arrived was experienced, and soon discovered that the smell was coming from the electrical panel for the home, located in that room! This situation could have been very bad if it was not caught and I'm so thankful that AAR responded promptly, communicated expectations early, and handled the situation with confidence. Update: After two more weeks of going back and forth with my property management company, the breakers were inspected and two were replaced. One had a burned spot larger than a silver dollar!! Then a second burner went out. Our house was about to go on the market and we called Ivanhoe Appliance Service. Ed came out the same day that we called. He was able to fix the one burner on the spot and then gave us the option to order the needed parts on our own from Amazon or he could order them from his distributor. We chose to order ourselves for a significant savings. Ed returned a few days later and installed the ordered parts and now we have a perfectly working stove. Ivanhoe's prices were not only reasonable but actually very good as including the parts that we had to order and the service fees it cost us approx. $250 total. Thanks Ed for a job WELL DONE!

I will NEVER, EVER use this service again. Very unprofessional…read more Initially, we used this company to replace our ice maker in our LG refrigerator. The repairman who came to our house did not seem to know what he was doing, which required a visit from someone else (who I assumed was his boss). Before our scheduled appointment, my wife had contacted Diaz N Sons and had advised that the cover above the water dispenser was broken and requested that it be addressed at the service visit as well. My wife had sent photographs of the part so that there would be no confusion. When the "boss" arrived, I asked him if he was going to address that as well. He blew it off very quickly, stating, "I wasn't told anything about it." He assured me that the part would be ordered, and since we were "under warranty," it would be installed quickly, and we would only be liable for the part cost. As memory serves, this transpired in April 2026. Between April and July, we contacted Diaz and Sons to get updates and were told two basic responses: 1) The part is on backorder, and we will update you when it arrives, and 2) there has been a family emergency, and we will contact you when we can. Exasperated in July, I took a picture of the model number of the part ($200) and contacted the manufacturer myself. The part arrived within one week and was a simple installation.
