Finally, he asked if we had a broom he could use since he "had to go upon our roof to clean the dryer vent anyway, and he noticed we had a lot of pinestraw that had accumulated on our roof". As a 79 year old, getting up on our roof would have been unwise of me. He cleaned it off, without mentioning it again. Shortly…read moreafter moving into a recently remodeled rental property, I noticed a strange smell coming from the utility room, and it was especially bad when I would operate my dryer. After my concern was brushed off by the handyman sent out to look at it, I reached out to this company to come and investigate my dryer. They were very clear that while they may not get the smell to stop, they would at least find out if my dryer could be the culprit. The tech that arrived was experienced, and soon discovered that the smell was coming from the electrical panel for the home, located in that room! This situation could have been very bad if it was not caught and I'm so thankful that AAR responded promptly, communicated expectations early, and handled the situation with confidence. Update: After two more weeks of going back and forth with my property management company, the breakers were inspected and two were replaced. One had a burned spot larger than a silver dollar!! This was a house fire waiting to happen.
