My mother was looking for plant pots for her garden. I'm so thankful that we came here because I found a beautiful tiny succulent plant and Cary, who was working here today was VERY knowledgeable about how to care for the plants there, including the succulent that we purchased, along with an air plant that we purchased. I've cared for succulents before and I still learned a lot about caring for succulents. Not to mention I learned how to properly care for my air plant. My mom purchased two plants for herself as well and she was told how to care for them by Cary. I also want to talk about the inside store here, it has so many beautiful plants to purchase and they also sell gifts to buy, such as beautiful jewelry. I also found out that they are working towards opening their cafe again here. This is such an amazing place, and to top it off they have Cary, who is an amazing person, working here. He was so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend going to Emerald Island Garden Center for all of your gardening and landscaping needs.

Went in with the intention of spending thousands on a new shed, some gravel to be delivered and a couple of garden ornaments. Walked around the whole yard looking at their under fed and under watered plants, and everything else and no one ever came out. I was out there 30 minutes. When I went inside to inquire on some prices finally, and I mentioned the type of gravel, a guy asked me if it was 1/4 ". I said I don't know, your sign out there is partially ripped away and all it says is Alabama. The other guy walks over and says, Is it the one by your car because that's white marble (or whatever). I said no and pointed to exactly which one I was talking about. He then raises his voice and says, THAT'S WHAT HE ASKED YOU WAS IT 1/4"? So rude I couldn't believe this loser was approaching any customer like that. I said are you kidding me? I told them they sucked and walked out. Never even got to the new shed or other things I'd come to purchase. Try to support a local business and this is how they act? I'd heard before I went how rude they were... from a co-worker, a friend's mom AND a neighbor who said DON'T GO THERE, but I did anyway. Now I know and I'm sharing. If rather go to the big box store and at least have someone smile at you and offer to help. WORST SERVICE IN TOWN.
