As a below-the-knee amputee, navigating large stores can be a real challenge. I was in a mobility cart, completely lost while trying to find irrigation piping connectors and glue. I had been wandering around for about 30 minutes, and at one point, my path was blocked by a large rolling ladder. Without me even having to ask twice, your amazing employees jumped right in. They moved the ladder out of my way and guided me directly to everything I needed. Without their help, I honestly would have been stuck in the store until closing time! On top of that, they even helped me check out. I'm usually not a fan of self-checkout, but they stepped up and took care of everything for me with total kindness and respect. It is so refreshing to be treated like a real person. By far, this Merritt Island location is the most exceptional Home Depot I have ever visited--and I've been to stores all across the country (both before and after losing my leg). Lowe's doesn't even come close; they don't treat me with the human decency I experience here. Home Depot is my absolute only choice for a hardware store. Dryer will now heat but does not turn off on its own. Washer agitator did not work properly. He came and "fixed" that too. After 2 loads of him fixing agitator the washer now throws about 4 codes and will not turn on. I have spoken with his office manager (I cant remember her name but she is very nice) at least 4 or 5 times now and she keeps telling me that Al will call me back. Well, its been over 3 weeks and I am still waiting for him to call me back and advise what I am going to do with these POS washer and dryer he sold me. I finally just had to go buy a new set that worked as I cant wait for this man to pick up a phone and take 2 min out of his day to resolve the issue as he stated he will not give a refund. I guess i am out 450.00. Very poor business practice and I feel he just stole my 450.00. I am a small business owner myself and would never do this to my clients.
