The first crew had poor quality. Everything was stained, drops of paint everywhere. Careless attitude to their job. They unnecessarily destroyed the front porch spraying it with white paint and now it stays that way. The second crew was better but they worked only one day and could not complete what they started to do. That crew is no longer working. There were days when they did not work at all. They promised to do within 1 week, but it is now three weeks. At times it looked like they abandoned us. I took pictures of their doing and posted them on Yellow Pages. The only reason we hired them was because we thought they would provide a higher quality. UPDATE: Today as of June 18th, finally they mostly are done after 3 week, except for the porch which they committed to re-paint.

SUED, WON, AND STILL HAVEN'T COLLECTED!! BEWARE!!! READ ALL REVIEWS!…read more My mother needed to have her house repainted as it had not been painted in over 20 years and we were going to rent it. Mark Sley, who owns the company, and I, came to an agreement. I had two other quotes and chose his company. I live in South Carolina and my mother was staying with me as she was seeing doctors near me. Our agreement was 30% down and the remaining when the job was completed. The job duration was to be completed in approximately 6 days. The contract was signed November 13, 2020. On December 22, 2020, I was informed that the job was completed. Mark Sley was told before the job contract was signed that he couldn't be paid the final amount until I would inspect the completed job. My house is a nine-hour drive from my mothers house that was "painted". The following is what I found: Walls weren't painted, drips were down multiple walls, intercoms and fire detector which was contracted to be removed and covered remained, pops in walls remained, lines were obvious on the walls in the hall outside the upstairs bedrooms where tape was showing, ADT security system was cut, ADT indoor security camera cord was missing, USB cord to firestick television was missing in upstairs south bedroom, paint on 2 bedspreads and one mattress cover, paint on brand new carpet in downstairs guest bedroom and on the living room in middle of floor, paint on four window treatments which were a material that couldn't be cleaned to remove the paint, paint on pickled pine mantel and marble hearth, every single shade was missing at least one (and most both) of the fittings that secured the blinds in place and the face covering were missing, the wooden blinds in the downstairs west bedroom had paint on them and the face coverings were off and on the floor, one of the outside trash cans had paint on the inside with the paint cans in the trash and now on the inside of the trash can, a pair of tennis shoes (with paint on them) were left outside the front door and a shirt was left on a chair in the living room. Copies of day labor time sheets were found in the trash can where day labor had been hired rather than professional painters! Mark Sley came over and discussed what needed to be done. (PHOTOS WERE TAKEN) On April 2nd, again, after taking the 18 hour round trip drive, I arrived to find most of the problems were still there. There was a new spot was on the wall in the master bathroom where a hole must have been punched into the wall. Spackling paste, about 6 inches in circumference, was on the wall about 7 feet high, but it had not even been sanded, much less painted. I drove on an 18 our round-trip journey to find the house not finished once again. I returned again on April 17th (keep in mind that Mark Sley called me each time to tell me that the house was completed). While there on April 17th, I had to rehang a pocket door that was bent and not on the track or working. Two closet doors were off track as well and had to be fixed. I let him know that the blind in the downstairs southwest bedroom was off the track and needed to be rehung. Sent images to Mark Sley and did not get a reply while I was there. (AGAIN, PHOTOS WERE TAKEN) April 24, 2021- Mark Sley came to the house himself to see the work that was completed and the damages which were incurred. He, himself, tried to get the paint out of the window treatments and made it worse. He acknowledged that the paint couldn't come out and stated that he would go to a company that sold blinds and see if he could find replacement parts for the blinds which were broken. May 10th, I was told the painter would come out to see about finishing the painting and Mark Sley stated that he would try parts on the blinds. June 7th- Mark Sley texted me to see when he could expect a final payment! He had never let me know that the painting had been completed or the blinds fixed. (THEY WERE NEVER FIXED, THE ITEMS RUINED NEVER REPLACED AND OTHER ITEMS BROKEN NEVER REPLACED) At this time, I let him know that the bedspreads, covers and blinds that needed to be replaced far exceeded the cost of what was left on the incomplete contract-not counting the new painter that I would have to have come in to complete the work. June18th, 2022- TRIAL DAY- He filed suit against me for not paying him!!, I countered and won-2" thick of pictures presented in court! PICTURES SAY EVERYTHING! February 2023- Judgement Lien Statement filed against Mark Sley and his company, Top Coat, LLC. He is not complying with the courts decision! It looks like the Sheriffs office will have to get involved. PLEASE DON'T GO THROUGH WHAT I WENT AND AM STILL GOING THROUGH!

I walk in,…read morethere's a line in front of the younger manager that we were standing in but an older man comes up asking if he can help us. I walk over with a smile and ask for my selected paint color, specify the base color, in duration and that I only needed a gallon... When I do this in Viera they simply mix the paint and afterwards ask for a phone number to then add it to my account when they ring it up. (if it is done differently in MI, why could he not communicate that?) The old man at the register in Merritt Island was taken aback and looked at me as if I had three heads. In a rude tone with a crazy look he asks "what's the name?" I give him the name for the account, he spends 5 minutes fumbling through the computer inevitably failing to find it. Blaming it on their system, he gives up and walks over to grab a paint chip of the color that I've asked for, he asks me a second time for the color name while at the display and then says "of course you ask for the one color we don't have a card for" and walks back over to us. He then proceeds to ask me what color for the third time as he's trying to put it into the computer, by this point him being disrespectful has already made me irritated so I snap back and say that's the third time I've told you. He then walks to the back storage to see if they have it in stock and by this point his manager is finishing up with the line of other customers, he looks over and asks if we're being helped to which I respond "unfortunately" his manager had to come over, found our account within 15 seconds and tells us they did not have the needed base color but that he'd order it to the one in Viera because they had it in stock (lol). The manager was helpful, polite and apologetic. As for the old white man, he was impatient, rude and lacked the knowledge needed to do his simple job. If his communication skills and manners are that underdeveloped, I would hate for him to be one of my employees. If you go to this SW I would highly recommend staying in the long line for the competent manager.

The people who work here are much more knowledgeable about their products than the big box stores. Service may be a little slower at times with other customers there, but when I've been there it's always been due to them answering (in depth) questions other customers have. I don't mind that wait because I know they will give me the same personal attention when they get to me. Great employees, nice store, historically proven products. What else could you want. They have been in business since 1886, (136 years). You don't last that long with with crappy products or grumpy employees. G. Jones Merritt Island Florida

Every homeowner in Florida knows the secret to a nice lawn is a good, working sprinkler system…read more And, every homeowner who has a sprinkler system knows what a pain in the &#%$ they can be to maintain and keep operating properly. So when I discovered several sprinkler heads needing replacing, I headed to Home Depot. Most sprinkler systems utilize either a 1/2 inch system or a 3/4 inch system. Unfortunately for me my system has a combination of both. So on this particular trip I was looking for both. I found exactly what I was looking for down the "Irrigation" isle. Home Depot has a nice selection of different heads - for both 3/4 inch and 1/2 inch. I also wanted to get the necessary adaptors so that I could transition from 3/4 to 1/2 inch, or vice versa. I also found those required fittings. After getting everything I needed (plus a few things I thought would be good additions to my "emergency" sprinkler system repair bag) I checked out. I really like the self checkout counters. I remember when they did not have them and sometimes the wait for checking out was a real drag. I zoomed through the self checkout and headed home with all the things I needed for a fun-filled morning bonding with my lawn (yeah just what I wanted to do on a beautiful day .....hmmm, I think I hear my motorcycle calling me, lol). I give this Home Depot 4 Stars, because DIY'ers can find pretty much find everything they need to do a project. Also ease and expediency of checkout is a plus. The only downside is when you're looking for someone to help you, it can take some time for a body to actually show up. That being said, everyone I've interacted with has been nice, respectful, and knowledgeable. I frequent this store often and most certainly will continue to do so.

Other than that, the selection is minimal compared to Lowes, there are never any cashiers open, its all self checkout most of the day, and not all self checkout lanes are open. Rental tool center will rent you tools with no gas, tools that don't work. Sucks getting to the job site or when you're ready to start a job and realize the tool doesn't work. Always check before leaving this store, because they sure do don't. It's a management problem!
