When they were at the original location they had so many things and that everything was great. But here not as many things and everything is delicious. For instance, they make slices of crumb cake to go, which are delish plus entirely round ones that I guess are made in a bundt pan but are phenomenal. My favorite is the cranberry Walnut one and they put a little of that crystallized sugar on it. It doesn't have like the big crumbles of crumb cake and not all of them do. But for Thanksgiving time we got the one we bought the one that had raspberry in it and it had the big crumb cake crumbles on top with some of that like melted white icing that freezes but not too much. They have the chocolate covered cannolis & reg which are my favorite. I know when they went into more like the village you had to buy them pre-boxed here you could buy individually. They also have Sfigodeli & A few other Italian desserts. Obviously for holidays they want you to pre-order pies. They do have some pies so if you just go in on a regular basis as well as a few cupcakes I was never a fan of their cupcakes. Everybody there was absolutely so nice and prices are totally not through the roof. I 1000% believe it's better than the original since I think I went to the original 1-2x's but didn't go back. So definitely check it out, esp. in Branford. Not too many bakeries yet alone Mom & Pop degrees.

The bartenders and servers were attentive and friendly while making great suggestions. We got the nachos with pulled pork (they had run out of brisket **sad face**) and the portion was MASSIVE. The picture I included was after 4 adults already ate some of it. The only downfall is when the band started playing, it was WAY. TOO. LOUD. You literally had to shout to the person next to you, even though we were a good distance away. It might help if they put the band in the far end next time and not in the main corner. Other than that, good service, good food, good drink, good times! P

What a fantastic place!…read more Right on the water in Coastal Connecticut just east of New Haven, with ample outdoor seating, Stony Creek Brewery is an ideal summer-time destination for excellent craft beer and a solid/creative menu of pub fare. We were here for an event: The start and finish of Bikes & Beers 2024 (Brandford, CT). Bikes & Beers tours the country year-round, offering cycling events that revolve around--you guessed it--breweries. Over the last few years, we've enjoyed weekends away across New England when they come to our corner of the country. Their events are very well organized and fun, with a portion of the proceeds going to local charities. Plus, there's beer! After our 30-mile ride in and around Branford, we joined the other riders for the after-ride event at the brewery for food and fun. That's the formula for all Bikes & Beers events. Back to Stony Creek Brewery. As I said, the setting is idyllic for a warm, sunny summer day. However, you'd find limited indoor dining/drinking space on a rainy day. I enjoyed their seasonal IPA (the only beer I drink) and found it exceptional. My better half had the grilled chicken sandwich to satisfy her hunger while she ordered a chili dog for me. IT WAS HUGE (and delicious). We didn't get to try the other interesting items on their menu, but our fellow riders said good things about theirs. Plus, a permanent guest food truck serves wood-fired pizzas that look and smell fantastic. My mouth is watering as I write this. I'm not sure when we'll be back, but we bookmarked this location so we can have a similar bikes & beers experience on our own someday. We liked it that much!

It was between here and Home and I had been there before so we came here. It's the old Tiki bar across from the Mexican place. Same as tiki bar...small place. Not many tables and it was freezing inside so we moved out to the patio. Not much warmer....Whatsoever. There were doors open that didn't close properly and it was pouring outside. I said to myself it is what it is. Ordered the Insalada di Roma to start. Eh. Overpowering garlic taste. Got the lobster roll and man got the Thai Fighter Burger. My lobster was tasty as all lobster is. I can't do gluten and they don't offer gluten free buns so I just ate the lobster meat and fries. The butter on the lobster was very different. Thick. Corn buerre blanc sauce. I still don't know how I feel about it but to me lobster doesn't need a thick sauce on it. Also, it said MP on the menu upon arrival but online one menu said $34 and their actual website said $40. It was $52 tonight. Are you EFFING KIDDING ME?! Never in my life have I seen a lobster roll be $52. This place has no business charging that. We go out to eat all the time to very nice places and have never paid that. It wasn't even a large roll!!! Average. I went to use the bathroom and it had an Out of order sign on the door. I had to go so I used it anyway. Door didn't shut. Prayed no one would try to come in. My hair stinks hours later of fried food. Gross. For almost $200...would not come back.

I originally planned to sit at the bar since I was dining solo, but it was packed for happy hour (always a good sign). I ended up in the dining room instead, and honestly, it worked out great. Service was quick and attentive from the start. My server, Christina, checked in on me several times without being overbearing, and I really appreciated how often my water was refilled especially since I skipped alcohol this visit. For food, I went all in: a dozen oysters, bang bang shrimp bao buns, and salmon sushi rolls. I finished with the crème brûlée cheesecake (which I already knew I loved from their sister restaurant). Standouts for me were the oysters, the bao buns, and that cheesecake absolutely delicious. The sushi rolls were fresh and flavorful, just a bit oversized for that perfect bite. Overall, a great experience with solid food and attentive service. I'll definitely be back maybe next time I'll snag a bar seat!
