Came to Applebee's while waiting for Discount Tire to fix my tire. It is conveniently located right across Carpenter Road. However you have to dodge the traffic like in the Frogger game to get there. But once safely inside the restaurant you are met by the hostess who seats you and gets you menus. They still have their Valentine's Day specials even though Valentine's Day had come and gone. They had a daiquiri and a tipsy Cupid on special. My dining companion had the peach tea and I imbibed the perfect Daiquiri. Both were quite excellent We did not have any food although their happy hour and half price appetizers that were going on. That is a Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 PM and late night every day special. read more

For so many restaurants complaining about being short staffed, three hosts sitting next to us, just chatting away. I'm glad to see that the increased prices are going to good use. May be a sign of the times but if I worked here back in the day I never have been allowed to do this. My husbands meal was brought out and mine was brought out about 5 minutes later. This is a great place for lunch. Service is really friendly and fast. The environment is nice with all the windows. The sunshine was beaming in today while I waited for my tires at discount tire across the street. I had the cheese bites which were crispy and cheesy and the ranch is the best tasting I've ever had. It's definitely made in house. Bourbon street steak was slightly spicy and meaty. The mushrooms gave perfect umami. It was beautiful and offer decent price under 20 bucks. read more

Arrived in Detroit shortly after 8PM. I decided not to rent a car this time. Boy was that a mistake. I got a Lyft to my hotel (approx. 30 min. ride), but was on Zoom the entire time because I did not want to miss class. In the Bay Area, we can get anything delivered, but it was slim pickings here in Ann Arbor. I saw fast food establishments such as Taco Bell and McDonald's, but their delivery fees are $8.99+ and the wait would have been over 70 min. so I was forced to order from here. They did not include utensils and napkins. I ordered a water bottle, but it wasn't included in the delivery. The boneless wings were good, the quesadilla was dry, and their quesadilla burger was over cooked. The fries were limp and was overly seasoned. I should have skipped dinner completely. read more

Okay so the service AMAZING I love coming here for lunch sometimes because the staff are so friendly and they get your food out in a timely matter everytime. I made a mistake of ordering the bourbon street steak last time , I got it med-well. When I cut into it blood literally starting flowing like a river My server was very sweet and patient, she requested they make another steak The manager brought it out this time (I assume he helps cook in the back because he had an apron on) he made sure I cut into it to see if it was done correctly, it was not this time it was OVER well done and ruined I'm used to well done steaks but I prefer a little pink , I didn't wanna be a bother they'd alr remade it and everyone was so sweet no one was upset so I just told him it was perfect Just.. get the chicken next time until they have a bit more practice I still love this place though read more

I was very disappointed in the boneless wings at Applebees today. It's one of the best things in the menu but they were so hard and burnt. I could tell they weren't cooked fresh immediately. I sent them back and this is the second order. Still burnt just covered in extra Buffalo sauce. The service did not make it any better. Not sure if the bartender was having a bad day or what but he was inattentive, very unfriendly, overall nonchalant "I don't want to be here" attitude. Not the experience I'm used to here. The food is excellent and if you can't afford to pay your bill, all you have to do is leave an article of clothing or any object you happen to find in the parking lot behind as compensation. Ordered pickup for a few drinks and some food on a wednesday night with a few friends. We are all college seniors over the age of 21. handed the manager our ids and were told to wait while he checked them in the back (they are new michigan ids). He came out and told us he did not believe they were real because of a problem with the expiration date. As many people understand, the issue date of an id is typically different than the birthday of the person. However, no matter what, the expiration date of EVERY id is four years after the issue date ON the individuals birthday. For instance, a birthday of 9/8/2003 and issue date of 8/21/24 would result in an expiration date of 9/8/28, as verified by the Michigan official ID website. This is common knowledge for ANY person who has been trained in reading IDs. Because our expiration date and issue date did not match, he refused to give us our orders. He offered to call the police, and we initially said we would wait, being in complete disbelief of his accusation. However, he insinuated the food would be cold anyway at that point, so we opted for a refund instead. I believe this establishment needs to seriously reconsider their management's training. This is a seriously disappointing mistake and one that we would not expect from an apparently "trained/experienced" manager. read more

The service was horrible and the food was cold. They had us waiting for over 1 1/2 hrs to give us our food saying that they were "back up in the kitchen" but they were skipping our table and serving everyone else as we were watching people come in, get their food, and leaving. Even the table next to us had gotten there 30 mins after us and got left before we got our food. I had talked to the manager and he said that he could only give us 30% off of our food but that's all. I decided to go to Applebees instead of going home to cook. I am cutting back and I know they have items that are low calorie. There is plenty of parking at this location. I entered and sat at the bar. The bar attendant quickly took my drink order and gave me a menu. I decided on the sizzling chicken and shrimp with potato's which had only 600 calories. The meal came in decent time which was a positive because I was hungry. The chicken was good. It was not dry and had a good seasoning. The sizzling plate also gives the chicken, shrimp and potato's a good taste from the skillet. The bar tenders were friendly and attentive. I plan on visiting again. read more

This Applebee's still sucks! Friend and I went there for $1 margaritas. Terrible service. Took a good ten minutes to be greeted. Friend ordered a second margarita she never got it. I ordered a salad to-go that took THIRTY minutes, at least! When I got home, the salad was tiny, the steak was cut into pieces but all still attached. We were given a coupon for a free appetizer because of our troubles and it clearly said expires 9/11. Today is 10/5. Not bothering with this place anymore. It deserves zero stars. read more

While I'm not that into sports, I can appreciate a good sports bar. Perhaps that's the critical piece here. This seems to be a really fun place to watch a Michigan football game on one of the 10,000 TVs. Even a minor game where not much is at stake will have patrons cheering at every moderately good play. But Brandon A. suggested Fraser's has "great burgers, excellent beer selection, great drinks at fantastic prices and great service...as long as you abide by one simple rule: don't be an asshole." That hasn't been my experience. They have adequate burgers, but there are significantly tastier and cheaper burgers available in town. The beer list is fine, but I have yet to find anyplace in Ann Arbor with an actually excellent beer selection. Admittedly I'm spoiled by my favorite small tap room which is several states over, and I miss deeply. However, it did give me an appreciation for what it means for a place to have an excellent beer selection. My Euchre Pils was $7 and served in a plastic cup. Maybe I'm old, but that does not feel like a fantastic price. And the service? On my most recent visit it took a long time for anyone to come by with menus, and an even longer time before anyone returned to take a food order. I tried flagging down a server, but none were making eye contact. It appears the servers work in some kind of zone defense, as every part of our experience seemed to be handled by a different person. It was uncomfortable to the point where we felt unwelcome and considered leaving. But we had already been there so long we were committed to seeing it out. For the record, I'm not an asshole. I still tipped over 25% on the food. I can't say I'm a fan of the 4% fee to use a credit card, or the $.75 charge for a little side of mayo for the fries. All told, it was $50 for two burgers, one beer, and an onion ring up-charge. Not exactly a cheap meal. So far I've braved the burgers, I've sampled the sliders, and sunk my teeth into a sandwich. I've tried the fries and onion rings. Everything was just kinda okay, but nothing has risen to the level of "ooh that's good". What am I missing? I want to love the place. It's close to where I live, which makes it mighty convenient, but unless someone can offer me a compelling reason to give it another try, I'm unlikely to return.

They primarily and beer with wine and bar food. Our group sat on one of the two picnic tables in the outside front area. It's a casual, fun place where you order at the register. It was also neon green (photo for evidence) and I woke up today feeling like I had been punched in the head repeatedly lol. But I guess that's part of the experience. Service was attentive but not hovery. I won't get into the details for the server's sake but he was very accommodating about an issue I had. On the check the suggested tip percentages are based on the non-HH price, just something to be aware of. I ended up splitting the difference and tipping like 18% of the full price (so like 30% on the HH price. During burger Thursdays, a burger with fries and a coke is $5.99, which sounds like a great deal before you realize ANY toppings (including lettuce tomato etc) are add ons. I did some quick math and figured the burger I would want would have been closer to $10, which is still a good deal ofc but not quite the recession buster it sounds like. Overall would return!

We no longer live in the area but today driving thru Ypsilanti we had to stop again. We both ordered the bean burgers and they were still as good as that first time. I also forgot how great the home cut fries are.
