Today, me and my girlfriends and there kids went to this location of Applebees/ihop to check it out. Our server Kaylee was absolutely wonderful she was polite, had excellent knowledge of the menu, she was also very funny and great with the kids. Probably one of the best servers I had in along time. This was to be a mothers day, daughters birthday treat, having never been there. I ordered the half rack ribs , fries. hardly any meat on the small portion cost $28.99. Another elderly person in are party ordered fish and chips , totally overcooked not edible, the waitress Vanessa , never came over and asked how anything was till 20 minutes , at that time my elderly friend stated he would take it home for his pet, Vanessa left and retrieved a carry out pkg. I stated surely we are not being charged for this, at that time she stated no. My daughter had the chicken and shrimp , small portions $27.49 She then brought us the bill $95.46 . Now my thought is Vanessa should never have allowed that fish out of the kitchen. She proceeded to hand me my change and stated to me to have a nice day. It really bothers me when restaurants complain that they need government help to stay open , when the prices and kind of food you dole out is rubbish. Worst service of any if any service was provided. Last night my GF and I went here for supper. When we first walked in there was a family of 4 waiting to be seated. I walked over to the manager who was at the hostess desk with two other females. He told me they were trying to figure out seating arrangements and he would be with me shortly. Meanwhile the family who was waiting were taken in and seated. We waited for a few more minutes and were then seated up on the top corner. We noticed that there were several empty tables as well. Our waitress arrived shortly and took our drink order, providing us with menus. She returned with coffee and then took our order. My GF ordered an omelette while I order chicken and waffles. Nothing too complicated. As we sat drinking our coffee, the waitress returned ten minutes later asking my GF what she ordered again as she didn't understand where my GF ordered her meal from. My GF pointed out that is was under build your own omelette. The waitress said okay and walked away. We noticed that several wait staff walked by constantly carrying food, only to walk past again in the opposite direction looking confused carrying the same food in hand. We never saw our waitress again and no one checked in on us. Several other guests were seated after us and were served their meal some consisting of steak. 45 minutes later we were still waiting for our meals. Frustrated we walked out and went to Salisbury house where we received excellent service. I will never return to Applebees IHOP restaurants again nor would I recommend this business to anyone. My Wife had the shrimp (overcooked) and i had eggs benedict. Both were not very good. My eggs Benedict had separated hollandais sauce (likes a pool of yellow oily water) and the hash browns were very underdone. I used ketchup to choke some down. All in all an underwhelming dinner. read more

I'm really happy with the food I received. Today I bought the "Rib-Lets". The ribs were quality. The sauce was perfectly placed on the ribs. A little bit to much sauce, but that didn't change my decision. The ribs overall were a 4 for me. The fries were almost perfect! Most of the fries were crispy, but some of them were a little under cooked. The fries overall were a 3.75 for me. read more

There were 8 of us that sat at one of the large round tables in the lounge to have dinner and watch a Jet's game. The table we selected was a corner one that had a view of two tv's so all at the table could see the game. All was good [ drink's, appetizers ] till the Manager changed one of the tv's to another channel because another customer wanted to see another game. We explained to him the reason for sitting at this table which we have many times before and instead of relocating the other two customers to a different table he ignored us so we all got up and left and went to State and Main Restaurant close by and enjoyed a great meal and hospitality. We spent almost $300 that night so I guess the manager thinks that the other couple was more important then us or someone should tell him that friends and business don't mix. It took a few minutes to be greeted which we didn't mind but we did mind when it took our server 30 minutes to bring us water. We received our food which was actually really good but 2 out of 4 of our orders weren't correct. We finished eating and were ready for our bill, too bad that the bill didn't come for 40 minutes despite us asking for the bill and a take out box, twice from 2 servers. It was a Sunday afternoon and was not busy enough to have that as an excuse for this service. Disappointing that everyone left upset but at least the food was done well. before covid my friends and I went there all the time with no issues. Not this time. My frind and I ordered French onion soup it was luke warm at best sent it back. Came back better but not hot. We had to move it was so cold in there. After the soup my friend ordered mac n cheese and I ordered a burger. Mine was fine hers wasn't. What she got was penne noodles with bits of vegetables. Upon calling the waitress back was told that is how it is no cheese on it. That is not mac n cheese.When we got the bill hers was okay despite receiving warm not hot coffee. I got charged for a burger platter when I only had a burger. By this time I was fed up asked to speak to the manager. She came and I was informed they don't have prices for just a burger but took off $1.00 my soup. What restaurand exists where you have a choice of a burger or platter. On top of that was then informed by the waitress if we want our soup hot we should stipulate when ordering. How insulting. Never going back and my group of ten we used to go with won't either. What can u expect from a chain restaurant, it's always hit or miss depending on who is serving and in the kitchen. The waitress was talking on the phone for first 15 min instead of serving us, my frozen drink was a cup of disgusting sugar water and they have sippy cups for kids but the straw was way too long we had to cut it ourselves. Mozzarella sticks should be called bites, way too expensive for what you get. 2 waiters were actually working, serving and hosting for entire restaurant while 3 others did nothing but sit at a table and complain how tired and cranky they were. Painfully slow service. We got there at 3:17 got meals at 4:20 She eventually brought us more drinks but she did not take the empties away, we each had 5 glasses each by the end of the meal. I got the ribblets and fries the were over salted and not editable. My husband's burger was soggy and the lettuce was wilted. Table next to us complained about the food and nothing was done for them. Went there for early dinner last week with my fiancé, nothing tasted great. My steak was cooked well but had not much flavor, the shrimp wasn't good and kinda cold. And my fiancé's meal didn't taste great either. Total waste of 50$. We're not picky eaters, so this was quite a shocker. I don't think we've ever eaten out at a place we disliked as much as this. Applebee's is a great family restaurant with a sports bar in it. The food is generally pretty tasty, but some things like ribs and fish taste really cheap and not worth what they cost. The staff are great and never let my drink go dry. I recommend their "real burgers" as they are fantastic. Good pasta and chicken dishes as well. The prices are reasonable but some things (like apps) are pretty pricey. read more

Went there today for dinner with my boyfriend. The service was amazing, our waiter was great. Where we were seated was just very uncomfortable. It was really cold inside the dining area. But weirdly enough the washrooms were warmer. I had to keep on my jacket the whole time we were eating. Also we ordered the 2 can dine for $40 and we both got steaks. The steak was cooked how I liked it, medium rare. But when I took I bite... the steak was soo salty! Although our waiter was great, everything else was just awful. Hugely disappointing! Left $110.00 dollars at this place plus 20% tip on evening of July 13, 2020. Mattie was Manager on duty working the bar while I waited for takeout order. Ordered four (4) entrees Bourbon Steak dinner (Medium Rare) came home overcooked, dry, way past Medium. Meat Grey. Chicken/Shrimp Dinner Chicken was tough and dry! Shrimp were a joke. Smallest ones I've seen in years. This dish is a huge rip off! Salmon dinner - dry and overcooked! $25.00 for a dry piece of shoe leather salmon. Fire your cooks, they suck! Quesadilla Burger - Alright - Pretty hard to screw up Hamburger and a flour tortilla. Upgraded sides - Paid for two loaded mashed potatoes and two Mac and Cheese. Got home and order only had three of four upgraded sides and was missing a loaded mashed. I left the best for last...Mattie was the Manager on duty and should be leading by example. She was not wearing her mask appropriately and had her nose exposed for almost my entire 30 minute wait for my horrible food. Applebees is an American style restaurant offering a variety of sandwiches, burgers, beers desserts and other great menu items. There is a sports themed lounge in the centre of the restaurant. Great choice for a family oriented theme out and recommend trying it out! read more
