My go to Applebee's due the convenience. The food varies. I'm unsure about how I feel about this location. Sometimes the tables are sticky. Sometimes utensils are sticky. Sometimes even the clean napkins they give us are sticky. I only visit during half off appetizers and I always order chicken wonton tacos. Sometimes they are a little stale. Sometimes it's good. Sometimes I'm unsure about how I feel about it. But I'll still eat my favorite chicken wonton tacos. The service isn't bad. Once I was charged full price during half off appetizers and I was refunded half the bill. Despite everything I'll keep visiting just because I love my wonton tacos lol. I've been here a few times. The waitresses are really slow. I've complained about this a few times to the managers. Today I came in for happy hour to get some half apps and house wine. I waited over 15 mins for the waitress and eventually a few mins before happy hour ended went up to the manager to get in another drink. He was very nice. Our waitress was nice to but barely checked in on us. I've been to over a dozen Applebees and this is one of the slower locations with very slow waitresses. The food was OK but the service was dismal. Waiter spilled my drink so that took my napkin. He never once came back to check on our meals or drinks so I could get a new napkin. I paid on the wireless pad on the table when we were done and with a minimal tip and comments about poor service. Had to get up and get my own box to take home what was left. I've never before been to Applebee's, and from my experience with this location, I don't plan to return. We sat down at the bar, and next to us was a prior customer's plate of food that sat there during our entire 15 min stay. It took the server 10 mins to take our order while only 3 people were sitting at the bar; it was not busy. The server was just sitting around texting on their phone. There were other employees also standing around doing nothing but watching. It was so strange. When the server finally took our order, they came over and slouched over the bar and could barely comprehend what we were saying. The server also never gave us a menu, nor knew how to make a basic cocktail. The manager came over to ask whether the cocktail (Moscow mule) was a beer. When I asked for a beer, they said all of the beer tap machines were broken. After we placed our order, it took the server another 5 mins before they even PUT IT IN to the chef. There was absolutely no sense of urgency by anyone at that establishment. We got up and left. It was by far the worst and funniest experience I've had at a restaurant. We had 2 different salads; a chicken Caesar and a strawberry with grilled chicken, almond slivers etc with a lemon balsamic vinaigrette... we both agreed the chicken is excellent! I ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo with brocolli and it was very oilly. The chicken tasted slimey and it didnt taste fully cooked. There was a penne pasta piece in this dish which threw me off. We ordered the app combo and the chicken was over cooked and the only thing that was good was the chips and the mozz stix. My friend ordered the cheeseburger quesadilla and he was disappointed with how small the burger was. We ordered strawberry daiquiris and mine had too much strawberry in it. Stopped in for one of their lunch specials which turned out to not be that special... My daughter and I each ordered the Pick and Pair combo for $7.99 which came with a cup of soup, a breadstick, and a small salad (or a half sandwich). Out waitress was blatantly racist to other patrons and wouldn't honor their own promotion. Awful! They advertised 1/2 price appetizers after 9pm. We ordered 5 apps between 2 people and water. She told us to take advantage of the special we couldn't order water, even though that wasn't written anywhere. I own a small business, and I am a big believer in running promotions with integrity. If you have a sale, have a sale, don't put silly stipulations on it. And if you do, put it in writing! Nowhere on the flyer did it say that. But, we ordered drinks we didn't even want anyway. Then we place our order, and the waitress tells us that 2 of the 5 apps we ordered "didn't count" for the half off special. Exceptions were not printed anywhere. The ad said "half price apps after 9pm", period. It's the old bait and switch routine. So we ordered something else. When she brought us the check, the waitress apologized for all the confusion, and then said if she didn't do it this way, people wouldn't tip her well. I thought this was incredibly inappropriate to say, to bring up tips to a customer, while also admitting she drove the price of our order up so she could get more tips. HERE'S THE WORST PART: After she said people wouldn't tip her well, she said, "well not you people, but you know, other... people" while deliberately pointing with her head to the two tables on either side of us which had black families. I actually had to show the waitress a picture of it because it wasn't pictured anywhere. She never mentioned the happy hour specials or the other halloween drinks that were available. Zombie drink was so watered down, but you get what you pay for. My husband's steak was tough and chewy. I had 2 appetizers that were ok but nothing to write home about.
