Okay so first of all it was amazing we got like everything we asked for it was awesome and I recommend coming here

I am surprised with the lower rating. I recommend if your reading reviews and are swayed not to go that you give it a try. Pricing is extremely reasonable especially if you pay attention to the advertising and the specials Applebees offer. The appetizers are so worth the half off when offered. The cheese sticks and dipping sauce are my go to and the garlic chicken bites. The portions also were large. Burgers are great. The chicken breast and shrimp covered with sautéed onions garlic sauce, mashed potatoes were more than satisfying. This restaurant is very clean, plenty of seating and is a great choice if in the area. Again, very reasonable pricing especially for a larger family. read more

Last time I ate here our order was a complete mess and our fruit had mold on it. I refuse to return. Wait staff was nice

I placed an order to Applebee's for delivery with Door Dash. I ordered ribs. The order cost $28.16. When I got the order it was inedible. The ribs were not only dried out, they were so hard I couldn't even cut them apart with a knife. This had nothing to do with DoorDash, it should not have been sent out of the kitchen! I will not risk an order from Applebees! I also sent a complaint and received no reply. read more

My chicken and shrimp meal was awful. The shrimp was burnt and the mashed potatoes tested like flake potatoes with water added. A grilled chicken salad tasted like the chicken was microwaved. Look elsewhere for your meal. read more

I ordered two Bourbon steaks in order to celebrate a birthday with a friend living in physical rehab facility. It was to be a great improvement over the institutional food normally served. The steaks were flavorful--the parts that you could actually chew. They were full of gristle and impossible to cut, and in some cases impossible to chew. A huge disappointment and waste of my hard earned money. Buyer beware. read more

The service was amazing, but the food was not that great. I did not want to even finish my food. The noodles were not cooked enough at all.

10-15 minute wait they tell me when there are 7 tables empty within sight and more being cleared. I was told I wouldn't be seated unless I gave up my phone number, and rather curtly. Uh, no. This doesn't happen at other locations. NEVER coming back. read more

The food was not good, 2/4 meals had hair in them. Still payed for the food that had the hair becuase the General Manager REFUSED to take items off of the bill, even though those meals were untouched due to the hair. VERY DISSAPOINTED! read more

Food was very cold and took forever to get to us. There weren't even many people here. Fruit flies everywhere

Hokay, so. Here's the deal. I used to go to Applebee's (in Grand Rapids) all of the time. I like the food, and I loved the service. So when I moved back to TC, I was pretty glad they had one. Too bad they fail. To start. Our server had gave off this, "Oh, they're young, they won't tip well, so I might as well not bother" attitude. DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED. I've served for five years, and yes, I know that most young kids don't tip well, but news flash: THAT DOESN'T GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO GIVE POOR SERVICE. Not only did she talk down to us, but she never asked how our food was, even though we had an app, two entrees and dessert, we also spilled a glass before our app came, and she saw, saying, "I'll be right back with some more napkins." Our app came. She didn't. We finished our app. She never showed. Our entrees came (served by someone else). I asked this new girl for ranch and napkins. She came back with both, very quickly. During this time I had seen our server circling the dining room, talking to her other two tables, and laughing with the bartender. Riiiiiiiight. That's cool. As if that wasn't enough. In the middle of the afternoon, with half the dining room filled, one of the managers was doing performance reviews at the table behind us. WTF? Talk about unprofessional? More than that, the girl he was reviewing was throwing one of her coworkers under the bus, and saying a lot of things that customers don't need to know. I guess there was no where else (i.e. employee break room, or manager's office (which is bullshit, all restaurants have at least a manager's office)) to do this. I guess I like their food. It's American style, corporate restaurant type, which is good for me every now and again. They have good specials and prices. But their service and professionalism are non existent. *shrug* I doubt I'll go out of my way to get back in there any time in the near future. read more

2384 US 31 S Traverse City, MI 49684 Is the worst Applebee's Ever Had a horrible experience at this Applebee's. My mentally impaired son was trapped in the restroom of the restaurant, when he called the store to ask for help, the girl who answered the phone laughed and mocked him. I was eating dinner and was completely unaware of the situation and I didn't find my son until I began to worry about how long he was away from the table. He clogged the toilet and was covered in fecal waste. I will never eat at this rude and discriminatory restaurant again. read more

Too bad they wouldn't honor our 25 dollar vouchers during the gov shutdown. This Coast Guard family could have really benefited, Day 29.

I've been to various Applebee's Restaurants in the past (the one in Bozeman, Montana is excellent) but never had quite so miserable an experience as I did this evening at the Applebee's in Traverse City. We were a party of three: my 93 year old father, my husband (70) and myself (only a couple of years younger). I ordered a sweet frozen drink called a "Tropical Red" - a fruit and rum margarita. It arrived on the rocks and - it was yellow! Furthermore, the rim had been dipped in salt, not sugar as is customary with sweet fruit flavored margaritas. They took it back and just tossed it, rocks and all, in a blender and brought it back (rather than starting over with mix and ice - we could hear them do so immediately after the waitress took it away.). It was nasty and salty-tasting, besides just being wrongly made. The waitress decided to argue with me about whether salt on strawberry margaritas was correct rather than merely removing or replacing the drink. We ordered. It took so long we were joking about whether they were catching the fish, raising the chicken or growing the lettuce for my salad. The men were satisfied with their meals: my lettuce was old and very limp, the chicken topping cold and tough. Still not terrible - until the bill came. We asked about the senior discount. Oh, no! It seems there's a 'golden card'. Could we have one, we asked? The waitress disappeared. She returned with the manager. They were out of golden cards and, furthermore, had already run our credit card and so could not possibly give us the 10% senior discount they would otherwise have been happy to have offered. When it was pointed out that they had then also run the card without allowing us to add a tip, we were informed that they were allowed to ADD a tip, just not SUBTRACT a discount from our bill! My father ultimately solved the problem: he went back and subtracted the 10% discount from the 20% tip he had added! To add insult to injury, on the way out, the hostess said, "Have a good evening", a remark I never heard inasmuch as I was concerned with helping my very elderly father down some steps. So she said, rudely, "Or NOT!" When I was told about her nasty comment, I went back in and reported it to the supremely disinterested manager. Service and attitude start at the top and permeate an entire organization: avoid this one like the plague! The food was mediocre: the personnel absolutely poisonous! read more

I'm not sure which is stranger--me writing this review or you reading it. It's Applebee's. APPLE. BEE'S. If you're still making up your mind about this place, either you're being dragged here against your will, or you're considering eating organic matter that barely passes as food. In either case, you have bigger problems than what Applebee's is about to do to your colon. The service wasn't bad, so 2 stars for that. The food though, my god the food. Everything tastes it like was thawed, reheated, and slopped together. Applebee's is the furthest thing from fresh. We got spinach artichoke dip, which tasted like spray can cheese melted over spinach flakes. My entree was steak and shrimp with broccoli. The steak was tough--really tough--like this wasn't the first time it was cooked. The shrimp was like sauteed rubber bands, and the broccoli was gooey and steamed. It had chunks of unidentified white stuff on it. I'm pretty sure it was food though. So, there you have it. If someone's dragging you there (like me), buy a dozen Bud Light Lime's to wash down the Applegrime. At least you'll get a buzz out of the experience. But if Applebee's is your idea of a good time, then you've already given up on life and there's nothing anyone can do for you. read more

The T.C Apple Bee's is a great place to eat. My regular order is the "all you can eat" soup and salad for lunch. Their French onion soup is the BEST soup I've ever had! None other French onion soups I've had can top this. The oriental chicken salad is a great partner with the onion soup. Yum! Additionally, in the late evenings, Apple Bee's will have a special called the "half off all appetizers". I will choose the boneless spicy Asian chicken wings. They are incredible, moist and mouth watering! Food: 4/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 Staff: 4/5 Pro's: ~ The food here is always consistent and fresh. I know what to expect every time. ~ The friendly servers are all unique in their own way. I feel welcomed and cared for each time I go. ~ The "all you can eat" soup and salad is a wonderful deal. ~ The "half off all appetizer" is a great special for those late-night snackers. ~ The French onion soup!!! ~ Clean environment. ~ On occasions the managers will make their rounds and ask how the food is. I really like that. It adds a nice, hospitable touch. ~ They give you free desert for your birthday! Yay! Lava cake with ice cream, anyone!? Con's: ~ I've eaten here over 50+ times and have experienced only a couple disappointing moments, but overall, the service and food is great! I really can't complain. ~ The French Onion soup is a bit small in portion. :') read more

My husband and I go to Applebee's often for dinner and love it! Food is great and service is great!

I went in there for dinner and as soon as I walked in the I noticed the host. And he wasn't very friendly he didn't really want to be there he didn't even greet us. And shortly after I was seated I asked my waitress for a application and she went to ask the host guy for a app to give me. And he wrote on the card. DONT DO IT. Then he was giving me a dirty look the whole time of dinner. Wasn't to happy with that. All I know was the guy's name was Evan and he wasn't to friendly he also had creeped me out too by staring at me and giving me dirty looks the whole time of eating there. Other than that. Food was great!! The food is always good there. read more

Applebees in Traverse City, in the last 3 visits we have waited an hour half for our food, sent steak back to be cooked longer cause it wasn't done, the last time I ordered a steak well done and got it served to me with blood dripping from it when I cut it. Very disappointed in the kitchen cooks. read more

We went for dinner. We went on a Sunday. The drink special was a Long Island iced tea. The waitress asked if I wanted to have a special flavor instead of Pepsi. I said yes that sounds good. She neglected to tell me that it was 50 cents extra for the syrup I wish that she would have mentioned that because that would have made a difference had I known. The drink was very weak. Tastes like mango and not trace of alcohol. Very disappointing. The food was okay. My chicken wrap had hardly any chicken. My husband's brisket tacos were very good. read more

We brought 5 kids to this location. We have been here several times and have never once had a bad experience. Is the food incredible? Not really, but I just ate a salad that cost 3.79, and it was 10 times better than anything I could get downtown for that price with the same quality. Our servers name was Dave, and he was crazy good with the kids and very attentive. We ordered a variety of dishes tonight and every single one was tasty. Beer and drink prices are below norms and food is great for the price, with amazing service. If you're writing a bad review of this place, you don't know anything about the restaurant business, or you just ran into a server having a bad day. We love this Applebees. We also love Red Ginger/Georgina's/Tuscan Bistro and Stella's... this is not those places, but it is awesome for what it is! read more

OK, I wasn't going to bother to write this, but I am, so I guess I changed my mind. I went here for their low cal entrees that they were advertising all over the TV. I'm on a diet (down 39lbs since christmas). I orderded the steak with a spinach covered portebella. The picture in the menu (is the food ever good at a place that puts pictures of the food in the menu?) showed a huge mushroom and a big steak. When it got to me the mushroom was the sie of a silver dollar, no joke. The steak was tough ( I'm not expecting the best steak ever at applebees but this was like they just didn't try) I should of taken a pic of this plate, it looked like they threw it at the plate and said good enough. Oh well, I feel better now. Life"s too short to eat like this, go some place better, anywhere would be a good bet. read more

Was told curbside was closed, while I waited in the parking lot for our carry out, I saw a car get curbside. Liars!

Terrible, twice. My wife and I visited this place two times in the past 3 weeks because they have a good selection of lower calorie meals and I am on a diet. The first time, my Parmesan chicken was very good but my wife's Cajun chicken had two long black hairs in it. This was promptly taken care of by the manager and all was ok. This time all of our food was very bad. My Parmesan chicken smelled funny and didn't taste very good. My wife and daughter both ordered stakes, medium well. Both stakes arrived an were burned on the outside and were very bloody on the inside. The manager replaced the steaks and the replacements were cooked correctly but tasted very salty. This left us wondering what they had done to our food because we complained. During both visits the waitstaff were very friendy and attempted to take care of us, but that doesn't mean much when the food it consistantly BAD. We will not be back. read more

The guy who seated us, couldn't answer a simple question about which items were part of the half price apps. He said, I don't know and turned to ask someone else. Beyond that thought, the food was very good. We had three appetizers and my husband had the platter with three on a plate. The food was served hot and quickly. I had the spicy Asian chicken wings, they could have been a meal all on their own. I would go back definately! read more

Staff was slightly rude today. Almost seemed like they were getting irritated when we were asking questions about items on the menu. Made the experience much better. read more

Sticky tables are disgusting!!! Applebee's clean your tables after each customer please!! I ordered the bourbon chicken and shrimp, there was two shrimp the chicken was cold and there was about 3 mushrooms and onions. They took it back and put some half melted butter on it and 3 more shrimp?!? Come on guys!! Just give the customers fresh food the first time not half cold and half fresh on the bring back.
