No way task, but Door Dash was very accommodating and quickly refunded. Perhaps the driver just missed it, but I doubt it. Now, I don't really set the bar high when it comes to Applebees. We know what we're getting. I really don't like going there. They skimp on fries. This is a source of stress for me. Come on , how much do fries really cost. This past time was the worst. My wife and I sat at the bar and Brooks was a good bartender. We had the combo appetizer. It was decent. I ordered the quesadilla burger with the $1 wings. The wings were rock hard and dry. My burger was good. Then I took a bite and I couldn't bite through. They left the parchment paper on the cheese and put it on my burger . Brooks took the burger off my bill. We ordered triple chocolate dessert to take home. When my wife went to eat the dessert she opened the "chocolate sauce." To pour it onto the cake...it was barbecue sauce not chocolate sauce! WTF! Zach. The host. I could hear myself breath in the bar- no music and so so quiet. This guy overheard me and my friends and tried to get music or sports to play on the speakers. Awesome experience! My family and I were vacationing in Waldoboro and decided to do Applebees catering for everyone. We ordered 90 boneless wings, mashed potatoes, green beans, 2 salads, some fried cheese bites and drinks. We had leftovers for days! Everything was delicious even after reheating it the next day. The staff was so nice we had 2 ladies, one who I assume was the manager come out and even helped put the bags in our vehicle. The entire meal was almost $130 but that was to be expected for such a large order especially with the alcohol. If you're hosting a party, get catering from this location you won't regret it. read more

It's been five years since I've eaten at applebees. Reason being is the food everytime is terrible. Today I thought I would give it another chance and take my family for lunch. I ordered the steak and asked for medium well, it came back as well done and bathed in salt. It was probably the worst steak I've ever had. To top it off the broccoli was old and believe that I even spotted mold on it. Not sure what steamed mold looks like but I think that I know now. My mom, Andy, Jen, Mat with one t and I came here for dinner before the movies at Flagship. It's a rural Applebee's so instantly better than those around the Boston area, owing to it's newness and the work ethic of the Maine people. The food was just alright, but not much worse than you'd expect at a place that probably has brightly colored placards in the kitchen telling ITT Tech grads how to cook everything. The one food note was that the ribs were "not as good as you'd get from Chili's" according to both Jen and Andy. Odd that the waitresses all seem to carry drinks under their boobs and armpits instead of using drink trays, um, what? Points for also getting in and out in time to get to the movie. read more

I got the bourbon street chicken and shrimp with mexican rice. And i gotta say it wasn't great in fact it wasn't even good. The rice was so dry it was like choking down grass seed. I don't really know how rice can be that bad but it was. The chicken was pretty dry also. It was borderline jerky, no tenderness to it at all. Worst dinner experience. Husband and me and our 2 sons stopped for dinner around 9 pm on a very slow night. Only 2-3 other tables eating when we arrived. Service was very slow and food was "ok." I ordered a steak dinner medium rare and when it was finally delivered, it was well done. Had to wait another 15-20 minutes before waitress came back to the dining room to ask her to make a new steak. she was very friendly about it. When the new steak came, it was cooked properly, but the steak was so gristly and tough it was inedible. Didn't both to send this one back as everyone else had finished eating by this time and I really didn't think the 3rd time would be a charm. Husband also ordered a steak and his was also over cooked but he ate it anyway. Son 1 ordered the American standard burger. from the picture, it looked like it was loaded with yummy toppings. When he got it, it only had cheese so he asked the waitress what happened to the toppings. Apparently this location doesn't make it as it's portrayed - they put all the toppings mixed in with the meat and then grill it. Didn't look as exciting, but son still enjoyed it. Son 2 ordered the 3 cheese chicken penne. the slice of chicken was thin and small and there was hardly any cheese so the dish was very dry. Also, he's a very thin 19 yo and the proportion was more like an appetizer, so he ended up hungry and reaching for everyone else' food. Worst Applebee's we've ever been to. So I haven't been to this Applebee's in about 3 years until yesterday. As we came in the wait wasn't too bad because they weren't that busy.. but as we sat down, the server took over 10 minutes to order our drink. When we ordered the appetizer, that alone took 25 min to come and the food came 5 min later after the appetizer... Our server was really nice and attentive, but the food was so bland... my bacon burger was very bland... like they didn't know how to add salt or pepper on it... the piece of lettuce that was on it had to be the smallest piece of lettuce I've ever seen, bacon was undercooked... So my meal was wasted... My niece has chicken tenders and strawberries... well those 3 tenders looked as dry as they could be, came with no dipping sauce, the strawberries were frozen previously and looked super old... my sister had the unlimited shrimp with fries... I can't judge that because I don't like shrimp, but she didn't even eat one because it was also bland... so overall I'm very disappointed with the food at Applebee's and I'll never go back there. read more

Lots of noise and aggravation. Particularly aggravating when they decide to clean the restaurant with brooms while you are eating, spreading dirt and dust in the air. Serious mismanagement. Don't dare look in kitchen. If you want to see Maine natives in all their glory this is the place for finger lickin, elbows on tables, hats on heads, unshaven, unbarbered, chewing with mouth open, drunken yelling and shrieking carrying on. Well, I should have checked the yelp ratings before I experienced the same. What a jacked up meal! I order a beer off the menu. I was informed they do not have it. I ordered a green Goddess salad. I was informed the kitchen was out of iceberg lettuce. Really? I don't think my refrigerator has ever run out of iceberg lettuce in over 10 years. I order a quesadilla burger with some blue cheese dressing and hot wing sauce on the side for my fries. Of course it shows up with neither and my french fries are now cold before anybody comes to check on us. My girl and her friend both order salads. The tortilla strips on both salads are so stale that they can literally wrap them around their fingers. The waitress, when informed of the stale tortilla strips has a reaction like she has seen this before and immediately calls her manager, Kevin. Kevin shows up and does the perfunctory "oh what is the problem spiel." He offers to take the salads off our bill which nobody wants to re-order for fears of what may occur in the kitchen. He offers to get me a beer, which my glass has been empty for several minutes. He offers to get me some warm french fries with the condiments I requested. Never once did he apologize. When he brought out our check, I asked him if they trained him in manager school to not apologize. He said he was just trying to make things right. I explained that a simple apology would've gone a long way. When I visit a chain restaurant I expect a consistent quality. Unfortunately, the consistent quality at Applebee's, regardless of where in the United States I choose as of late, has become consistently substandard. This particular location, being the flag bearer for Poor quality and Poor service. If it had not been so late I would have patronized one of the local family run establishments. read more

Dip was great, but the chips had so much salt on them I had to try to wipe them off with my finger and they were still too salty. I swear I gained 10lbs of water weight from all the salt!! Super slow!!! Sat down and had our drink and food orders taken and then we never saw Mary again. Her trainee, Vaughn, was very nice though. The food took forever to come out! All of the employees around the bar just stood around and talked with each other. Employees were clearly chatting in the back and our drinks were empty the entire time. When we ordered only have the table got their appetizers before their meal they actual forgot to put the other 2 appetizers in to be ordered. Also waited on a root beer for 20 minutes, and I said no pink in my burger. I'm pregnate I cannot have any pink meat.
