If this was for the eat in service I would consider 5 stars, as I've never had a complaint aside from the cheese in the French onion soup being a bit too crispy for my personal taste. But this is for the carside take out, I'm not very pleased that I've now had multiple issues with my food order that I've had placed and I live up the hill in Twain harte so having to come all the way back down the hill is super inconvenient. I feel like you need to focus alit more on your carbide order because they are coming up either totally wrong or just neglected, I've had fires that are just pathetic like the leftover bits and pieces and that's not ok. My Buffalo appetizers have been the completely wrong sauce before and I got bourbon street chicken and shrimp with you guess it no shrimp or bourbon sauce. Finding a place to eat in a small town that is good is super difficult. It is always a hit or miss, since I feel like reviews can be skewed. Usually a chain restaurant is an ok bet. Applebees is one of the places that are meh. It is ok for a big group with a variety of tastes and everyone should be able to find something. It did just what we intended , feed a large party. The restaurant is going down the hill. The place used to be good but I think depends who is your waitress. Friday we went to get a light lunch before going to the movies. The guy who served us probably was still waking up? He brought my soup without a spoon. Then after 15 minutes he came back holding the spoon in his hand without the proper sanitary protocols. When I received my bill I was charged separately for sour cream, cheese and bacon. Shame on them. We're done with them. I came in to have some food and drinks with my friends and the refused my License because it was stamped threw the DMV because I renewed it early I had the extension that the DMV gave me along with it and they still refused me! Yet I can use the ID anywhere else. The ID isnt even expired until 2019 but they still wouldnt serve me I'm extremely upset. Watch your checks... We were seated at 3:10 pm. Just my wife and I. We ordered off of the lunch menu pointing out what we wanted to the server. When we received the bill it was for $71.95. The lunch items that we ordered were $11.99 each. Chips and salsa. $5.99 I ordered a bud light. $7.99 She ordered a house Chardonnay $7.99 Bill should have been about $46 plus tax. When we asked her about it she took it to the manager and he "fixed" it and sent it back to us for $67.99. I asked again showing the lunch menu saying the lunch menu shows the dishes that we ordered and received say $11.99 each. Even though my wife ordered a house Chardonnay the bill showed Kendall Jackson for $16.99. We drink KJ quite often and know what the difference is between Sutterhomes and KJ anyway she ordered and received Sutterhomes. The manager gave me some story about the computer automatically making these changes. BS... Just watch your bills because someone is pulling something. Normally I love Applebees and it's the only restaurant we go to since the pandemic. Today I took my Mom in for a pre-90th birthday meal. I ordered a medium steak and got a well-done steak. I sent it back and after 20 minutes received a medium-rare to rare steak. In the meantime, my Mother was almost done with her meal. I asked for the manager (he did not introduce himself) and he offered me a salad, at which point I asked him to just take it away, as by now my Mom was done. They took my meal off the bill, but felt like they could've done something more (maybe put the soup on the house??). Went to Applebee's because Gus's was closed and was expecting at least an average dinner. But it was less than average. The waitress was nice but not intensive and was more into a social situation than being a waitress. My Chinese chicken salad was like it came out of a salad bag at the market and you had to add the little bag of dressing and wonton strips. We ordered a T-bone steak and it was almost $30 with no salad frozen vegetables and inferior me quality. Our froufrou drink was really expensive and turned out to be nothing but an icy slush. Here's the Scoop: Out & about and what do I see a Joann's craft store, Applebees, Ross, Big Lots, and on and on. So we decided to have lunch at Applebee's. I haven't eaten here in a while so my honey and I gave it a go. I ordered 2 pick which is soup, sandwich and I added shrimp salad. The service and food was very good. Mountain views as we ate, just Awesome! I truly enjoyed this lunch date with my honey. The ambiance is the same as all Applebee's just better views. Updating my review as of 09/2019. I've come here a few times in the last two or so months. I think they've come a long way from what I remember them being not too long ago! The service had been very good and friendly from every server I've had. I've been ordering the 2/$27 steak with veggies and the loaded mashed potatoes. They've managed to cook my steak perfectly every single time. Which is crazy to me because lots of places mess it up. The food itself is good and holds well for leftovers. I did switch it up and had the three cheese penne and it left a bit to be desired and was pretty pricey for a pasta dish. But, overall, I feel like they're trying (as lots of chain restaurants are (damn us millennials)) and I've been impressed with how far they've come! read more

We are locals. This was our first time to Applebee's. We would rather support local business but we are also in the business of finding bomb Hot Wings. We have visited EVERY single restaurant from Sonora, Twain Harte and Murphy's looking for CRISPY Buffalo Wings, no luck whatsoever. While our beautiful little town has lots of local delicious food, wings were not worth the order around here. We decided to try a chain restaurant and we are stoked we did. They were busy but our server Hanna was great, met eye contact, checked in on us, nice service. Nice doesn't happen too often anymore. it was a great Sunday night out for the hubby and I! If I could of given negative stars I would have! My wife and I went to Applebee's last night (1-21-2023) and the service we received was beyond horrendous! We waited little over 40 minutes for a table when there was multiple tables not being used we were finally seated by a young man who looked overworked and didn't want to be there. We were seated next to a huge group of people were they pushed 4 tables together. Our waitress Katelynn came over and took our drinks and appetizers orders and she never came back to check on us the rest of our time there! We saw her multiple tables socializing with a group of her friends and getting them what they needed while our drinks sat empty and still waiting on our appetizers. After 40 minutes past we finally got our appetizers by a waitress that wasn't ours. Our waitress was too busy socializing to even remember we existed! Then to make things worse the manager guy an older man dressed in all black was giving that huge table all sorts of special service and favors. The huge table obviously ordered the same thing my wife and I did the all you can eat ribs and boneless wings. My wife and I watched him refill there wings and riblets multiple times as my wife and I sat there still waiting for our first plates. The manager guy even gave them to go boxes to put the wings and riblets in even though in small print it said dine in only. Little over an HOUR after getting our appetizers we finally got our first plate of ribs and wings. Again not by our waitress because she was still too busy socializing with her friends. My ribs were barely warm and my wife's wings were completely cold. The other waitress said she would get us another plate of each and took off. She came back 20 minutes later with wings that were still cold and riblets that were just as cold as the first plate. What did we do to deserve service like this? To watch other tables get special service and we get ignored. My wife and I watched other tables get seated way after we did order and get there food and leave while we waited on our first plates! I cannot come up with any excuse why we were treated this way. My wife and I picked at the cold food and quickly left. Definitely not coming back! This isn't the first time we were treated this way but I can tell you all this it will be the last! Not putting up with it anymore!! I like comparing apples to apples, or in this case Applebee's to Applebee's ;) With that in mind, I give this location 5 stars. We recently dined at this Applebee's the day after they were given the go-ahead to open indoor dining with limitations. What I noticed: --- The staff were all masked and in gloves. They were very friendly, upbeat, and professional. We were greeted courteously, served in a timely fashion, and checked in on frequently. Having worked in the restaurant industry, I can tell when employees feel valued and get along. It was clear that this team was happy to be together and this isn't always the case at large chains and franchises... so thumbs up! --- There remains spatially distanced outdoor dining under large canopies. --- The indoor dining room, where we were eager to eat after months of outdoor-only, had been tailored for Covid-related restrictions. There were plastic shields placed between booths, as well as surrounding the sunken bar area. Tables were socially-distanced. High-top tables were placed strategically around the bar so that the bar itself was inaccessible to comply with rules. We were greeted with a message on the table tablet that said it had been thoroughly disenfected and ready for seating. --- We enjoyed a 2-entree and 2-large salad meal for just $25. It was a great deal and hit the spot. --- The bartender (who also served as, as we were seated in the bar) was very friendly and poured a mean gin and tonic. Will be back. read more

Ok I Over the past two weeks I have visited. Two weeks ago I have there lunch combo. The first sandwich was so soggy it was falling apart. So I sent it back. The second one that took for ever was worse. So ow today we thaught a second chance maybe they were just having a bad day. I ordered a 8oz sirloin. Well let me tell you ot was the worst that I have ever had. It was as thin as beef jerky and as fluff as my boot. Ok, this is Applebee's we all know what to expect but this one is different. Server was great very personable and she worked her behind off in 90deg plus heat. I just felt like everyone was on it even the woman cleaning the tables to the other woman turning on the misters at the end of our meal all of them interacted and acted like they wanted to be there. Other restaurants need to understand you can take a meal that's not going to knock your socks off but you add great service guess what it turns into a much better meal.
