My daughter and I ate lunch on a random Tuesday and the food was excellent, the service was fast and friendly and the portions were big enough that we took home leftovers that we ate for dinner that night. We will definitely return when in Sikeston...10 out of 10 recommend! read more

Horrible!!! After 45 min wait they came and told us they were out of yogurt for the kids. Then brought the wrong pancakes! The pancakes we received were as thin as A piece of paper. We couldn't cut them with a knife. My eggs were ice cold . Maybe there were 5 tables with people sitting at them. We will never go back! This was a 45.00 dollar disaster!! Beware..... read more

Food tasted decent.waitress was attentive no fault to her ..we ordered burgers and the patty was way to big for the small size bun they used, the tomato on the burger was cut very thick.. food was good but presentation needs work read more

I was hoping the nice new renovation would come with better service, but it's the exact same problem as before. There is a total lack of management skills and the employees clearly do not want to be there. We experienced incredibly slow service just trying to order, and our food was never actually delivered to the table. To make matters worse, the staff has a terrible attitude. When we politely asked our waitress about the delay, she gave us major attitude and said, "I did take your order didn't I?" A nice building can't hide terrible service. Avoid this place. read more

i got my food before I got my beer. then they cut a steak in half and split it between my father and my daughter. they did offer a 6.99 discount for that lol. Bartender was terrible slow with not very many people there. I've went months without it. Probably go months without it again read more

I will start by saying I went to write a review, and the very first one I saw was an excellent review that I posted 8 years ago. This is unfortunately a much less flattering review this time. Andy the front end manager was nice, as was our server I was happy on that front. We decided to order the combo appetizer where you get 3 items for about $15. As I was listing off what we wanted, (pickle fries) mozzarella sticks, and pretzel bites) she informed me that they were out of stock on the pretzels. Ok, no problem we got fries instead.when she took our drink order, she advised they were out of straws (this comes into play later). My granddaughter wanted pancakes with strawberries on top, we were informed they were out of strawberries. I popped up and said oh, well I need to order something other than the French toast with strawberries and bananas, our server being HELPFUL said that the strawberries and bananas come in a pack that they do have in stock. (Thank goodness ). So that's what I order. Guess what .. they are out of French toast. I was at this point trying not to get upset as this was my birthday dinner, and relatively I succeeded. Well 15 min goes by, 3 plates of food come out for our party of 6, and we are assured the rest of the food will be out shortly. Another 5 minutes goes by, 2 more plates are brought to our table. We wait patiently for another 15 min for my daughter's food, and finally spot the server to ask her about my daughter plate (oops, they forgot it. My daughter brings to my attention there are stacks of straws in the lower dining area on the bar and other patrons are being served with straws. Darn the luck. Then my son takes my granddaughter to the restroom and as they are finishing up, she goes to wash her hands, and surprise! There is no soap in the dispenser. (They must have been out of stock). Then during the payment phase of our experience she put the machine up into my face practically. And there were only optiois for 18, 20,or 22% or custom. I sucked it up and did the 18% because I didn't want to waste any more time putting in a lesser custom tip. I just wanted to be done. read more

Waitress was nice but not real efficient! Wife's beer sat at the bar for over 5 minutes just enough time to warm it up a bit. She said she was getting another beverage for me and went to another table to take their order. Next thing I see she's setting at the bar spinning on a chair? Oh well won't go back there. I don't mind tipping well as long as the service is good! read more

Food was adequate. Steak was horrific...bland, burnt. Tasteless ...soak in 2 inches of A1 and is bearable. Service is slow and forgetful. My grade is F read more

Went for dinner got seated waited over 10 minutes got no service. No one came to say we will be right with you or anything. People that came in after us got their drinks and ordered food. We ended up just walking out. The place wasn't that busy. read more

Last time I was there food quality, portion size was bad. I had complained to Applebee's through the ap previously gave them that last try managers response was after covid things were just not the same? This is 2023 not 2020. The 4 of us left and were fighting over a restroom at a store 15 min later. The rest of the restaurants are all back to normal.. read more

I went here with my friend and servuce was super slow waited 15 mins or so to get someone to our table for drinks. I got the 2 for $35, one to go for my boyfriend, when it came out it was not to go I guess they expected me to eat both and the steak looked and tasted like it had been out all day. Would have complained but no one came to the table the entire time we were eating. Don't recommend. read more

Applebee's Grill + Bar - American Near Me - Sikeston, Missouri

See all

Poor! Ordered the 4 cheese Mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken. The "cheese" sauce contained not even one cheese. It appeared to be a tepid Alfredo sauce that barely coated the noodles. Do they even have a fried chicken Alfredo on the menu to cause a slip up? You go to Applebee's expecting consistency, not greatness. If they can't even be consistent, than what's the point? read more

Very bad service and poor management. We were told we could not eat there because we had 5 people in our party and the place was empty. All while the manager and a few workers played cards at a table. I have never seen the level of bad management at an establishment as this. Feel sorry for the owners as well there is no telling how much revenue they are losing due to poor management. read more

Like the ambiance of the two Applebee's here in Terre Haute and the consistent open hours.

Turned away after stopping here during our trip back home. The waitress told us they could not accommodate a family of 7 which she called a party. The restaurant was nearly empty so we were a bit confused. Poor service. read more

Had the friendliest server Cece. We had the strawberry balsamic chicken salad and they were excellent. A very good experience overall. Would stop again. read more

Wow. I mean I've ALWAYS loved Applebee's, but todays visit left MUCH to be desired. My server, who was also the bartender was let's just say not very happy to be at work. I watched as she stood with her hands on her pockets, sour look on her face.... However, She was very happy to chat with the 2 older gentleman sitting in her section. (They seemed to be regular's) I asked for extra parmigiana on my Tomato soup....apparently a mistake. When she brings my food out, it has powdered parmigiana on it Gross. When I asked about it she explained "They discontinued that." I sat and listened while she told another guest that Covid has made it impossible to get Celery. ‍ Lastly, She took a phone call from what seemed to be someone wanting a job and after being incredibly rude to the poor person, she hung up with a very loud sigh and said "Yea, she's never calling you back!" Situational awareness is a thing. People hear you. People see you....and more than anything, people feel when you do not want to wait on them or be "bothered" to help them. Not all was lost, I was able to pay for a Military Family's lunch...with another server who was AMAZING ! ! Glad to have something nice to say about this location read more

We went on a Friday night, and got two orders of chicken strips and fries. It was okay, although the fries were pretty sparse, though they tasted decent. This was my first visit to an Applebee's and will be our last. The waiter disappeared and had to be called over for a drink refill, as well as to get some vinegar for my fries. I was charged $0.50 for vinegar, which has never happened before in my lifetime, at any restaurant, anywhere. Most restaurants just leave it on the table, not try to squeeze a few more pennies for a basic condiment. There was filth on the blinds next to our table; I took some pictures. It was disgusting and when I pointed it out to the manager on duty, she didn't seem to care. I guess having a filthy restaurant is normal for them. Makes me wonder about cleanliness standards re. things we CAN'T see. Will never return to this, or any, Applebee's. read more

Stopped here with the Grandkids for dinner and not good. . . . Onion Ring appetizer got to the table cold, some of us ordered the sirloin and not one was cooked correctly. One steak was so rare it still had the tail wagging. Baked potato was ice cold. Next we got dessert for the kids. We ordered some apple dessert with ice cream - waitress came back to the table and told us "we are so sorry but we ran out of apples - but you can order something else if you want". No - check please. She brings us the check and says - "oh I spoke with the manager and we found some apples". No - give us the check please. Bottom line - Food wasn't any good, service was not good and how do you run out of apples and then 10 minutes later you find apples. I would pass on this one. read more

Don't order the 4-Cheese Mac and Cheese. Dry macaroni in a bowl. The chicken on top was good. Shouldn't even be on the menu, I'd be embarrassed to sell it. read more

Good service, poor product! The queso blanco is tasteless, the chicken wings are standard. They do have a half price app but that doesnt include the sampler or trios which was dissapointing. Dinner sides were limited, they were out of mashed potatoes so I asked for salad and I got charged for it. The fries were cold. The margaritas were weak so I requested more tequila and got chargrd 4.99 when the drink was only 3.00. Never saw a manager... read more

Arrived as the first customers for lunch. The restaurant was totally empty. We had a party of ten. Sat for 30 minutes before the restaurant started to fill up. Starred noticing that everyone in the restaurant had eaten and our food had not come. Asked to speak to the manager but she was "busy." Hour and a half later after complaining we received our mediocre, at best, food. With places like Dexter Ribs and Lambert's Cafe in Sikeston, there is never a reason to visit this establishment. read more

I haven't ever eaten at an Applebee's, so this is a first for me and sad to say I will never stop at one of these again. Sticky bar horrible service, they didn't even give me the sides that I had ordered. And the were more interested in talking to there friends then to the customers. read more

They do their best and people need to go there to keep it in that town .. Lucky to have an Applebee's there..... Steaks are very good.

The service at this Applebee's Apple absolutely sucks. After waiting for over 45 minutes for a lunch order we left before our food Vee arrived. read more

Went in at a prime time Saturday evening. Server was pleasant and patient with us. Food was good. Server was good. A nice experience.

My sister and I stopped in for dinner after a long day. She ordered the Shrimp Won Ton stir fry. The rice wasn't cooked..when she told the waiter, he offered to talk to the manager to see if he could deduct the cost of it. He later returned and said the manager said no. Never once did the manager come to the table to talk with us, or try to make it right. Shame on you Applebees...this will be our last visit here. read more

Food was pretty good but servers were at the table way more than desired. They asked if food was ok five times. Made it really hard to have a conversation. I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

This is one of the worst Applebees I have ever had the displeasure to "dine." We ordered steaks, wings, and sides. The wings cane and no plates were delivered, we had to "beg" for plates. My side was incorrect and both steaks were so over-cooked it was difficult to chew. After speaking to the manager better but not delicious steaks were made. read more

Decent food, but poor service. Waitress on 04-08-15 rolled her eyes when adding hot water to melt ice was requested as my husband does not like a lot of ice. Slow service and we had together up to leave before our bill was paid and even then we had to wait. At least 5 minutes. Not once during meal did waitress return to check on us for refills or to see if all was ok. Questionable management. We will not return read more

Food was good. I had the Mac and cheese. service was fast and the food was hot. Will say the service was top notch!

The service was terrible at this Applebee's. We waited over 40 minutes for the food to be served. The wait staff seemed either very stressed or very disorganized. My food was not warm when presented, indicating it sat for a time before it was delivered. This Applebee's was promoting a beer special. But at 5:00 pm the restaurant was out of the promotional beer. Staff kept saying how busy they were, but the restaurant was not full when we arrived and we were seated immediately. While waiting for our food I asked to see the manager to complain about the Slooooooow service. She never appeared. This was a very poor experience. I hope Applebee's is not trying to wring profits out of it's restaurants by reducing staff and hiring incompetent managers. read more
