Wow. I mean I've ALWAYS loved Applebee's, but todays visit left MUCH to be desired. My server, who was also the bartender was let's just say not very happy to be at work. I watched as she stood with her hands on her pockets, sour look on her face.... However, She was very happy to chat with the 2 older gentleman sitting in her section. (They seemed to be regular's) I asked for extra parmigiana on my Tomato soup....apparently a mistake. When she brings my food out, it has powdered parmigiana on it Gross. When I asked about it she explained "They discontinued that." I sat and listened while she told another guest that Covid has made it impossible to get Celery. ‍ Lastly, She took a phone call from what seemed to be someone wanting a job and after being incredibly rude to the poor person, she hung up with a very loud sigh and said "Yea, she's never calling you back!" Situational awareness is a thing. People hear you. People see you....and more than anything, people feel when you do not want to wait on them or be "bothered" to help them. i got my food before I got my beer. then they cut a steak in half and split it between my father and my daughter. they did offer a 6.99 discount for that lol. Bartender was terrible slow with not very many people there. I've went months without it. Probably go months without it again read more

Waitress was nice but not real efficient! Wife's beer sat at the bar for over 5 minutes just enough time to warm it up a bit. She said she was getting another beverage for me and went to another table to take their order. Next thing I see she's setting at the bar spinning on a chair? Oh well won't go back there. I had complained to Applebee's through the ap previously gave them that last try managers response was after covid things were just not the same? This is 2023 not 2020. I went here with my friend and servuce was super slow waited 15 mins or so to get someone to our table for drinks. I got the 2 for $35, one to go for my boyfriend, when it came out it was not to go I guess they expected me to eat both and the steak looked and tasted like it had been out all day. Poor! Ordered the 4 cheese Mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken. The "cheese" sauce contained not even one cheese. It appeared to be a tepid Alfredo sauce that barely coated the noodles. Do they even have a fried chicken Alfredo on the menu to cause a slip up? You go to Applebee's expecting consistency, not greatness. Very bad service and poor management. We were told we could not eat there because we had 5 people in our party and the place was empty. All while the manager and a few workers played cards at a table. I have never seen the level of bad management at an establishment as this. Feel sorry for the owners as well there is no telling how much revenue they are losing due to poor management. read more

We went on a Friday night, and got two orders of chicken strips and fries. It was okay, although the fries were pretty sparse, though they tasted decent. This was my first visit to an Applebee's and will be our last. The waiter disappeared and had to be called over for a drink refill, as well as to get some vinegar for my fries. I was charged $0.50 for vinegar, which has never happened before in my lifetime, at any restaurant, anywhere. Most restaurants just leave it on the table, not try to squeeze a few more pennies for a basic condiment. There was filth on the blinds next to our table; I took some pictures. It was disgusting and when I pointed it out to the manager on duty, she didn't seem to care. I guess having a filthy restaurant is normal for them. Makes me wonder about cleanliness standards re. things we CAN'T see. Will never return to this, or any, Applebee's. read more

Stopped here with the Grandkids for dinner and not good. . . . Onion Ring appetizer got to the table cold, some of us ordered the sirloin and not one was cooked correctly. One steak was so rare it still had the tail wagging. Baked potato was ice cold. Next we got dessert for the kids. We ordered some apple dessert with ice cream - waitress came back to the table and told us "we are so sorry but we ran out of apples - but you can order something else if you want". No - check please. She brings us the check and says - "oh I spoke with the manager and we found some apples". No - give us the check please. Bottom line - Food wasn't any good, service was not good and how do you run out of apples and then 10 minutes later you find apples. I would pass on this one. read more

Good service, poor product! The queso blanco is tasteless, the chicken wings are standard. They do have a half price app but that doesnt include the sampler or trios which was dissapointing. Arrived as the first customers for lunch. The restaurant was totally empty. We had a party of ten. Sat for 30 minutes before the restaurant started to fill up. Starred noticing that everyone in the restaurant had eaten and our food had not come. Asked to speak to the manager but she was "busy." Hour and a half later after complaining we received our mediocre, at best, food. With places like Dexter Ribs and Lambert's Cafe in Sikeston, there is never a reason to visit this establishment. read more

Went in at a prime time Saturday evening. Server was pleasant and patient with us. Food was good. Server was good. A nice experience.

My sister and I stopped in for dinner after a long day. She ordered the Shrimp Won Ton stir fry. The rice wasn't cooked..when she told the waiter, he offered to talk to the manager to see if he could deduct the cost of it. He later returned and said the manager said no. Never once did the manager come to the table to talk with us, or try to make it right. Shame on you Applebees...this will be our last visit here. read more

This is one of the worst Applebees I have ever had the displeasure to "dine." We ordered steaks, wings, and sides. The wings cane and no plates were delivered, we had to "beg" for plates. My side was incorrect and both steaks were so over-cooked it was difficult to chew. After speaking to the manager better but not delicious steaks were made. read more

Decent food, but poor service. Waitress on 04-08-15 rolled her eyes when adding hot water to melt ice was requested as my husband does not like a lot of ice. The service was terrible at this Applebee's. We waited over 40 minutes for the food to be served. The wait staff seemed either very stressed or very disorganized. My food was not warm when presented, indicating it sat for a time before it was delivered. This Applebee's was promoting a beer special. But at 5:00 pm the restaurant was out of the promotional beer. Staff kept saying how busy they were, but the restaurant was not full when we arrived and we were seated immediately. While waiting for our food I asked to see the manager to complain about the Slooooooow service. She never appeared. This was a very poor experience. I hope Applebee's is not trying to wring profits out of it's restaurants by reducing staff and hiring incompetent managers. read more

AppleBees in Sikeston is awesome! They have an awesome and friendly staff with great managers and delicious food! I would definitely recommend going! Don't forget to order a Triple Chocolate Meltdown at the end of your meal, they're to die for. Yumm. read more
