We ended up here because it was the closest restaurant to our hotel and we could walk over from the parking lot. They had moved here from a location in Sikeston. It's in a former Ruby Tuesday, and there is a bar. We sat at the bar, and were brought some chips and salsa before we had even ordered any drinks. The menu was large, and the prices were reasonable. There were also some happy hour specials on margs and beer. A 21 ounce glass of margarita (with ice) for $5.99. They had a handful of draft beers as well. The food was good enough, and came out in a decent amount of time. I had the enchiladas Mexican flag, three chicken enchiladas, one with red sauce, one with white sauce and one with green sauce served on a piping hot plate, and had no complaints about it. Stopped in for lunch while Supercharging and really enjoyed the food and service. Staff were friendly and the food came out fast. The arroz con pollo was very good and I opted for the pick two selecting a tamale and a chili relleno. While the plate looks like a soupy mess, it was delicious. The relleno wasn't greasy at all. We have been the El Bracero in Indiana and Missouri, and the food is always great. We always try to stop when we are in the area.

Service to table with chip and salsa was prompt. Menu had lots of choices which scares me. Food arrived in about 20 mins. I ordered chicken tacos that had lettuce and cheese and nothing else. I could literally not taste a thing. I added hot sauce which only helped so I wouldn't be starving. Chicken tasted extremely dry! My fiancé ordered Some dish Tequila chicken? I'm gonna come right out and say that my husband and I pulled off on the Sikeston exit to go to Lambert's, but there was a 2-hour wait. We really wanted to have a sit down meal and El Bracero looked promising. We were greeted right away and the host/server was following CDC guidelines. The menu was very vibrant and full of tasty looking food and interesting options to suit maybe some folks who were not entirely onboard with Mexican cuisine. We started off with jumbo watermelon and prickly pear margaritas that were delicious! Then we sprang for the chunky guacamole. That was a great investment. It was so chock full of pico and good flavors. My husband was intrigued by the prospect of the molcajete. That is a huge portion. It was served in a hot stone bowl and so many large vegetables, well seasoned plump shrimp and chicken. Just wonderful. I like living on the wild side and I thought what is "lenguinni" pasta? Well obviously it was linguine. But I think they did an excellent job with that too. My husband reminded me how I'd been wanting pasta lately and I like Mexican food. So, bam! We both took home our leftovers, including the guacamole. I see that there's several other locations. Not necessarily near me, but in areas I have traveled by. Came here after checking into the Drury Inn next door during a snow storm. Someone at the hotel recommended it as they had just come from here. The chips, salsa and cheese dip were delicious. My husband got the chimichanga which he enjoyed and I got the steak fajitas. The only thing that would have made the fajitas better would be homemade tortillas or even just tortillas that had been heated up on a grill. Overall great food, clean restaurant and good service. I wouldn't hesitate to stop again if I was ever in the area. read more

I confirm the order and they still screwed it up now I realize none of these guys here speak English so I asked for someone who was a natural American who did. I ordered the Jalisco special which was supposed to be covered in queso and there was no cheese on it whatsoever nor did they include any silverware in the order so we had to eat dinner like in an aborigine in the bush. The food was good. I had the chicken chimichanga and my husband had the carnitas. The chimichanga was great, and the carnitas with fresh avocado was very good too. The portions were large. The service was fast and efficient, but not very friendly. Server actually rolled his eyes a little bit when I asked for more salsa. Went to lunch at 1 on a Tuesday afternoon. I was seated right away. Once seated I sat for 5 minutes and never once had my drink or food order taken. I even had 2 different waiters walk past me 2 different times. After the last time of being neglected I picked up and walked out. I have been here several times for my 30 minute lunch breaks and the service is always prompt and the food is consistent. I just call the order in 15 minutes early and they always have it ready on time. The lunch specials are reasonably priced with nice portions and of course, free chips and restaurant style salsa. The chile relleno, fajitas, and tamales are my go-to dishes. Stop by El B's for a good and filling lunch that is enough to put you in a food coma for the rest of the afternoon! read more

Food here has consistently been ok, but the service always seems to be lacking. On 4/26, we had the worst service yet. The waiter sat us and we got drinks immediately, and this where his attention ended. When he finally came back to take our order, he was just gazing outside, not paying attention. Of course when our food came out, the order was wrong. Let me also point out that the couple of times that he did come to our table, he had to stop and look at his cell phone before approaching us. We never seen him again until he finally came to give us our ticket. I guess it's time to try out the other Mexican restaurants in town. read more

We don't usually eat here because it hasnt been great in the past. The service tonight has been terrible. My food came out fairly quick, but it was wrong and when I asked the waiter to bring me what I ordered he argued with me before taking my plate away. As a picky eater this is NOT acceptable. The portions are BIG. I was meeting here for a friends birthday. We found it on the internet and never knew it was there even though we live about a 5-10 minute walk away. The food was really good and they were super accommodating. PLEASE update your sign and make it more visible - you'll have more customers. They are a BYOB establishment and seem to have a real family happy atmosphere. The Entree was delicious but the Guac was disappointing. read more

They up charged for something that we didn't want and then when we tried to explain they gave us terrible customer service with no respect and took the money and told us to never come back. I have only been once, I will never go back. Me and my husband ordered the same thing, a taco salad. People who came in 10 minutes after us got there order before us.
