Worst service I have experienced in a long time. Took 15 minutes for a server to show even when the place was essentially empty. Then took an extremely long time for drinks and food. Didn't bring out the correct items for the appetizers. Strawberry balsamic salad was drowned in dressing and chicken was raw. When Manager finally came out, he was extremely rude and disrespectful. This is by far one of the worst Applebee's I have ever been to. We came to the restaurant in groups of 5 and when we walked in more than half of their tables were open but they said it would be a 30 minute wait. During our wait time we watched as groups of 5, 4, and even 6 were accepted into the restaurant but not us. After a 45 minute wait we requested to speak to the manager and he was one of the rudest and stupidest people I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to. I feel bad for anybody who actually thinks this is a restaurant that possesses any semblance of good service because they are clearly delusional. read more

We stopped in today, first the little plate they have your silverware on was filthy. Dried food and I don't know all over it. Next tried to order the prime rib dipper first was told out of the normal bread, then after agreeing to that she comes back that they are out of the prime rib. When the food is delivered the waitress is setting down the plate and dumps all the fries all over the table. It will be lucky if I ever go back. read more

We ordered from the 2 for $25 deal. My husband ordered the bourbon chicken and shrimp. He enjoyed it. No problems. I ordered the 6 oz sirloin, medium rare with green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. They got my order wrong, starving me broccoli instead of potatoes. I sent it back, and our waitress said the mistake was made in the kitchen. My husband ordered Diet Pepsi, but they tried to give him a refill of regular. Also, they tried to bring us each a beer we didn't order. Came in on a fairly busy Friday night, hostess greeted and seated us promptly, even asking about our table preference. Ashley, our waitress, came to our table within a couple of minutes of being seated. Took drink orders, came back with drinks and graciously answered our menu questions. We did the 2-4-25 deal with a rack of ribs and bourbon chicken. Salads came out quickly, and entrees came out the very second we finished the last bite of salad. Ashley checked on us, brought us extra napkins, refilled drinks, and brought sour cream on request. There was no reason I could find that made this any less than a 4 star visit, I don't see a good reason why this place was rated 3 stars with sone harsh reviews, maybe just a one off bad visit? With so little in Sidney to choose from, this was a safe pick. Go ahead and go, its pretty decent. read more

The host was great. He was very kind and even asked what our table preference was. It goes downhill from here. It's a Friday night, only 1 bartender and the restraunt is pretty full. Our waitress, Chareese I believe was her name, (it was odd spelling) wasn't very attentive. Our drinks were sitting empty every time for around 5-10 minutes before she would come back to check on us. We ordered alcoholic beverages and it took forever for each drink to get to us. She brought us our check without asking if we wanted anything else like she was trying to push us out of the restaurant and when I told her we weren't ready to pay she had an attitude. Applebee's is where we go most of the time we go to a restraunt and my husband and I have ordered 4 or 5 drinks before without an issue but after a 3rd drink she had the manager come to our table to "check on us". I have worked at an Applebee's before and this was never part of our "protocol". We were not at all acting "drunk" or had an issue at all but she wouldn't serve us more until we were checked on. Overall she was just very rude and pushy so she didn't get a good tip at all. So as we were walking out, she hollered at the door "thanks for the non-tip". Very unprofessional in my opinion and we will never be back to this Applebee's. read more

Our family was driving through the area and wanted something other than fast food. Ordered curbside pick up, only to be told 25 minutes later after a phone call and physically going inside, that our food was delayed because it got sent home with someone else and they were on their way back with it. They were shocked when I wanted the food replaced and that it seemed perfectly appropriate to serve food to someone that has left the premises and returned. This is not appropriate even outside of the COVID pandemic. read more

For another franchise in Sidney, this Applebees hits a homerun in my book. For being open for 2 weeks, the dark wood ambiance is inviting and the hometown but modern decor and sportsbar adds class without being snobbish. The service was impeccable. Sat at the bar during the tail-end of the lunch hour. A Blackberry Quencher was recommended as a starter. The server perfected it to my taste without complaint. I felt special! Second recommendation was the wonton shell chicken tacos. YUMMERS!! My only disappointment was my entre, everything on it was perfection (8oz sirloin cooked perfect medium and the 4 cheese Mac n Cheese with Bacon bits were to die for) except for the broccoli. It was steam to the consistency of baby food. Was not a fan. Again, my server was kind enough to INSIST on preparing me another side of broccoli which was not to my snobby crunchy perfect expectation BUT much better. My tastebuds were happy. Overall, excellent experience. If Sidney's Applebees can keep this and attention to their food and service, it's a definite keeper and a must GO TO PLACE to dine out. It was truly a treat! read more

The food was pretty good, we had wings and a salad. But the service was excellent. Everyone in the restaurant was so incredibly warm and friendly. We have two young children and sometimes restaurants find having children with you annoying, but they couldn't have been nicer here. They even made a balloon bee for my toddler to take with him when we left. The manager was by to make sure everything was alright and the waitress was very attentive! read more

Terrible food, terrible service. I don't remember other Applebee's frying all of their food. Everything was fried! Our pretzels, quesadillas, shrimp were all surprisingly fried. Not a good experience this time. It was not busy. We got our food in a decent time the waitress was not very attentive. She asked if we wanted re fills and they never came. We had the all you can eat chicken and ribs. Waited forever for our deacons plate to the point we did not want to spend all day waiting. From my experiences when your customer has the all you can eat when you see your customer getting low on whatever they ordered you kindly ask if they will want more so you can have it out and ready by the time they are done not twenty minutes after they have finished waiting another ten to get more. read more

I have always had great experiences at this restaurant and was expecting the same upon arrival with my family tonight. Our waitress didn't make eye contact with us once and wasn't pleasant; she told us we had to finish our drinks completely before we could order another one. She was impolite and not personable. She was trying to rush us through and get us to leave before we were done eating/drinking. The manager then came up and pointed his finger at his watch and asked if he should start charging us rent (mind you, we have been here for an hour and a half). I've always enjoyed Applebee's menu and the food at this Applebee's is top notch but it is always freezing cold inside the Sidney store. Everyone knows that is a tactic to turn tables quicker. I don't think it's too much to ask to be comfortable while I enjoy my meal. I complained to the manager, Tim, and his reply was, "It's fine in here." I had to go out to my car and get a winter hoodie. My food was cold before I could finish it and I had to take half of it home and reheat it there. I thought about going back today but my friends and I decided that the service and attitude of the employees at Buffalo Point is also better and we want to eat in comfort so we'll be going there. The atmosphere is wonderful. Your door is opened by a greeter upon your entrance. The wait staff is very friendly. The food is super. The desserts are fabulous! The drinks are awesome but expensive! Lots of TV's, the décor is homey, representing Sidney and surrounding areas. read more

I was surprised at how the check was set in that it had three different lists as to how the taxes were set up for the county or city. I was not enthused about my order and was dismayed at the total cost for just an average meal. The atmosphere was relatively quiet for a midweek super, but the place was full. There are tablets at each table for your gaming enjoyment and also to order desserts or more liquid refreshments. Just another way to add on to your bill. Really nice staff, but Horrendous service, and decent food for an Applebees. I eat here at least once a week or every other week. We have had multiple dinners that took over 2-2.5 hours. One dinner, our server didn't come by to get drink orders for 20 minutes and the restaurant was barely a quarter full. I've ordered take out several times that was quoted 15 minutes and waited for over 40. The food quality ends up being like your normal run of the mill Applebees, assuming they actually have the dishes in stock. read more

This applebees is horrible. Locally we only go out for a sit down meal once a month and when Applebees first opened was ok at best. After the hype wore off they lost the professionalism of their servers (I've heard them blatantly argue with a customer because they didn't want to run their card and tried to make the family pay with cash).The last 3 times we've gone they've messed up our order in some way shape or form even after complaining to the manager they just basically told us tough cookies. And it took over an hour to get our drinks and 2 hours for our meal when we went their for my wife and I's birthday. Won't be going there again unless major changes happen. read more

Rating with two stars due to the food which was good. Service on the other hand was the worst we've had since they opened. I'm not one to normally post reviews but this was beyond disappointing as far as service goes. Management needs to train their staff better. When talking to a server and can't get them to make eye contact with you, that's a problem for me. I've been in customer service and it's common sense to say hello, thank you, how is everything, what else can I get you, etc. Be polite and make your customers feel welcome. To top it all off, the MANAGER came over and tapped his watch and said "wow, do I need to start charging rent!". Wow! Let's just say we won't be going back anytime soon.
