Abby was awesome. Food was amazing. Remodel looks cool. Keep up the great work Applebee's!

We hadn't visited an Applebees in a long time and probably won't return. Server was slow and dismissive. We ordered a burger and clearly stated that we could not have bacon due to religious reasons. Despite our request, we were still served a burger with bacon. And the server was very apathetic and unapologetic. The only positive was the tasty taco appetizers... that is the one star. Do better, Applebees! read more

Applebee's Grill + Bar - Sports Bars Near Me - Rockford, Illinois

This is my first time in an Applebee's in a long time and probably my last. Took unusually long to get anyone to our table to even take our drink order. The wait for the food was ridiculously long and our food was cold. Wanted a box to take my cold food home but by the time she showed up I had lost interest. Friday night, a dinner rush was expected. Somehow I know this but Applebee's doesn't. I don't expect high class dining. I do expect hot food. read more

Came inside to wait (with elder mother), ten minutes to be seated. They're were only 2 tables with people and no one was at the bar. After talking is to the table we thought maybe it will get better, we had come for ribs. I usually come, specifically for ribs. After a few minutes the waitress came back. Everything started out not so bad. But when our food arrived order wasn't right, and it took almost 10 minutes to get cold food. That is were out started going bad AGAIN. After that the only way we could get any service was basically when she seen me getting up, or coming towards her. The problem is the last time I ordered a Cesar salad that had old wild lettuce. I guess this is another one of those establishments that will have to be one of my memories, because I think this is it for me. Maybe in another city, not Rockford. read more

We were in town for a quick getaway. We decided to grab dinner before we checked into our hotel. I'm very happy we stopped here! Vera was our server. She was very nice. They have a great deal: 2 for $25. We both had a Caesar salad. I had the fiesta lime chicken It came with seasoned rice and a pick de gallo. It was fresh and hot and FANTASTIC!! My husband had the blackened Cajun salmon. It was a bit dry, but he said the flavor was great. Both of those entrees were an upgrade and well worth it! We will definitely be back!! read more

The food was overcooked. Service was very slow. Ordered burger with sauce on the side and onion rings instead of fries. Came with no sauce and fries. Took waitress 10 minutes to bring a refill of water. Will not return to this restaurant. read more

When we got to the parking lot it must of been about 5pm. We walked inside the restaurant and was greeted by the host. I haven't been to this location before so I was kind of excited about it since each location is different. The ambiance was very mellow. The noise level is what you'd expect from a chain restaurant. Our server was nice. Seemed pretty busy but she was tentative. She didn't really have that "welcome/ how are you doing" type personality but that's ok. We have the wonton tacos to start and they were delicious. I just wished she came back with a couple plates but I couldn't find her or she must of been busy. We got the guacamole burger and steak and shrimp skillet. Food was hot and pretty good. The server was quite busy but she did her best to be attentive to us. Overall, the service, ambiance, and food was what I expected. Everything seemed good to me but I may stop at a different location next time. read more

I have been sick at home for a couple days so I got tired of eating soup and decided to treat myself. I ordered a meal delivery from UberEats for Applebees that I thought would be good, it was called a Riblet dinner and when it arrived I was skeptical because at first glance it didn't even look good. It didn't look anything like the picture, the meat(?) was BLACK with BBQ sauce poured over it. I ate a piece but just did not feel comfortable eating anymore. I've never seen round flat bones in any meat I've eaten. I can't even describe what it was and don't really want to because it makes me sick thinking of what I may have eaten. I didn't eat it I ended up throwing it away. That was a $44 experience that will never happen again. Thanks but no thanks Applebees I won't be dining in or carry out. read more

our strawberry lemonade didnt taste the same or looked the same was so light didn't taste like strawberries at all

Food was less than promised, more like a 2 day old food, price for items of that quality of food, way over priced. Only good news was I finally got the senior rate after years of eating here, I'm 80 years young. Soory Not coming back! But You are on your way too closed doors! read more

First thing first I want to say our server was very nice, he went out his way to make a drink to my taste buds. Also the food was very good, fresh and hot just how it should be. Thank you for everything, will definitely be back. read more

Food was delicious & Vera was so kind. We had a lot of questions but she was so patient to answer all of them without rushing us. I would definitely come & eat here again! read more

First time back to Applebee's sence I was a child. I still love the atmosphere. My server was Abby, very nice woman and very professional. My appetizer was mottzerilaa sticks and there where cooked perfectly but the sause tasted like tomato soup. The service up to this point has been very pleasant. Now for lunch. Spot on. My Alfredo was cooked nicely and the sauce was creaming with delicious chicken. We oder the sizzlin butter pecan bodies. Looks and smells amazing, and the teste amazing. I can recommend this place. read more

Let me start off by saying our server was great. I came out to visit my daughter and my grandson, and we decided to come there to eat. I have to say the food for both of us was well not that good. She had the ribs and I had the steak from the 2 for 25. Her ribs were fatty and not much meat. My steak was a bit dry. So have to say we we're disappointed with our meals. Not to mention we went shopping after and I ended up sick!! I was fine before hand. So don't think I'll be coming back. read more

Went to Applebees 1675 Riverside, Rockford, Il a couple of days ago. Carpet was filthy and worn. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Place smelled. We walked out. read more

Sad affair here today, very slow service and poor attitude, we come in and could see that most of the customers were wearing their coats, had to ask for the heat to be kicked up. Beer that was ordered sat on the side board waiting for server to pickup and serve. Not! 10 min Had to ask the bartender if that was our Beer. read more

They have gone down hill quite a bit. You can smell there bathrooms, for a long way away. It's getting worse. The food has to be sent back. Often. They have a new cook it seems. They don't know what there doing. Can cook pasta. Management should close down and reevaluate. read more

Went to Applebee's for lunch today and will NEVER go back. Family with 3 adults and 2 children Service was fair at best. My daughter ordered steak medium rare on the 2 for $29 but it arrived well done. Sent back and was given a second steak that was medium rare but grissle and fatty. This steak arrived after the rest of us were done eating. She barely could eat it A drink was ordered from the bar and wasn't near full didn't have the orange slice as pictured and was so sugary it was clearly not made correctly. I was shocked to learn there is no longer a lunch menu (supposedly due to the pandemic but I didn't understand that connection) plus NO options for senior or even smaller portions. Im very disappointed in Applebee's which used to be one of my favorite places to eat but after today I won't return And the staff lacked professionalism that I had come to expect from Applebee's. If I could give a negative rating I would Over priced Poor quality food and drinks Lack of lunc menu and smaller portion entrees Very unprofessional looking staff Overall POOR in every category read more

Stopped in for dinner and waited 5 minutes for the hostess to show up to seat us. Then our table was so sticky we cleaned it ourselves with wet naps. After at least 15 more minutes, the server showed up to take our drink orders. He was extremely rude to us and acted like it was our fault for complaining. We have been to this restaurant many times and it seems to be worse each time. An apology goes a long way! read more

Doesn't even deserve one star, tables were sticky and even the waitress said it's because they are old. Took 20 minutes to get our drinks, and people that walked in 10 minutes after us got served way before we did. Everything was filthy and just clearly poor management read more

I went here for their lunch special (which i think goes till 2pm): $5.99 for soup+salad, or $7.99 for a (lunch-sized) entree + soup. I ordered the Tomato Basil soup, which tasted ok, but maybe I'm not a fan of tomato soup. I also ordered the Three Cheese Chicken Penne, which was pretty good. The service was good: the server was friendly, and my order came out in about 15 minutes. The restaurant was like any other sit-down chain establishment. read more

I'm not sure if there's a way to give less than one star but that's what they would get as far as I'm concerned. The waitress was really nice but the food was not great and don't even think about going into the ladies restroom. There was black mold everywhere!! The smell of it was so strong I almost threw up read more

Food tastes like a microwaveable meal. And it's funny because someone I know who used to work here literally confirmed a lot of the food IS microwaved. read more

I wasn't impressed with the app used to order or Applebee's curb side service. It was my first time ordering from pub grub app and pickup no up at this Applebee's. When I order I did receive a message that it would be 60-70 minutes. Which I thought was a long wait for two salads. So I called Applebee's to confirm that time. I was told no it shouldn't be longer than 20 minutes. Well all in all it turned out to be 50 minutes the last 30 I waited in their parking lot. To top it off the salads were mediocre... I don't do that again. read more

If I could put zero stars I would because we didn't even get service, we didn't even get seated. We waited for nearly 15mins before we even saw a hostess than another 10 before we left. Ignored by every employee that walked by. I used to enjoy coming here and now it's one of the worse. Epic fail in costumer service. read more

I used to like this place. But today was a different experience. My boyfriends menu was wet & the glasses are extremely dirty. Literally found a hair stuck to the inside of my glass. My replacement glass was still not very clean. It just disgusted me for the rest of the visit. I won't be back. read more

We arrived around 4:30 and each had the all-you-can eat riblets, shrimp and chicken strips. We had Chelsea for our waitress. She was excellent and always smiling at us and very attentive. The food was terrific. She was very accommodating to our different needs too. Just an all round pleasant meal. I really appreciated it all. And by the way, never met Chelsea before! She was a breath of fresh air. read more

On 6/29 walked in about 9pm and asked for a warm spot as it was very cold in the restaurant. After being sat, we were still freezing. We sat there for 15 minutes while employees and the very young manager walked by us, looked at us and ignored us. We tried to flag a few down...they just looked away. Not one person tried to find out who our server was. This place has no idea what the importance of teamwork is to any restaurant. The manager seemed to simply not care. As we were getting up to leave a server came over and attempted to apologize and put drink napkins down. We left. We went over to Red Robin and got treated like they actual cared and wanted us there. We didn't have to freeze while eating. read more

Your basic chain. Decent food, good service, average prices, easy location. I can't complain. Had a great chicken dish, but I can't remember what it was called. It was a chicken breast over peppers and onions with a cheese sauce, spicy and good. read more

My friend Greg and I went to this Applebee's and enjoyed the great dollar drinks. We were texting these girls and they said they wanted us to be the mayors of titty city so we decided to meet them and I asked Greg if he was good to drive but he had too many dollar drinks and crashed his car and never got to be mayor of titty city with his dong. The Applebee's staff over served him and will not pay for my medical billz. I am hurt and unable to work because of Applebee's horrible service. read more

My husband and I received a gift card, so we went for dinner on a Friday night. I was surprised that the restaurant just didn't seem very clean and the tables felt so gross because the top layer of finish was peeling off. We waited quite a while before our waiter came out and our drinks only came right before our meals. The food was okay but not a ton of flavor. Our waiter just never came around, and we started wondering what he was doing! Overall, not a great experience but it was free! read more
