Stopped in for dinner with old friend. I had a Blue Moon Beer and my wife had a Long Island Ice Tea. I had the Bourbon Street Steak with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and sauteed onions and mushrooms. My wife got the Triple Ultimate Appetizer plate with Riblets, Chicken Quesadillas and Double Crunch Shrimp. Our friend had the Strawberry Balsonic Chicken Salad. Our waitress also brought us water and did a great job checking back with us to see if we needed anything. The interior was clean and the place was pretty busy. When our food came it looked great and tasted great as well. We had a great time catching up with our friend and before we knew it two and a half hours had gone by. It had been a while since we dined at Applebee's and plan on coming back. read more

I don't think I have had one good restaurant experience in Puyallup in the week I have been here visiting. There's a distinct lack of urgency and customer service by nearly every establishment. I came in to this Applebee's today. It's close to where I'm posted up on my work trip and I wanted a "big salad". I was seated. Nobody came to get my drink order or even greet me. It took almost 15 minutes for a server to come by. She took my drink and food order. Then another ten minutes went by. No drink. The server is camped out at another table having a long conversation with one of their tables. I had to flag down the hostess and ask for the drink I ordered. I was ready to get up and walk out. Finally the server came back with both my food and drink. The salad was great, exactly what I wanted. That was the highlight of my visit. My server was checking in on all the other tables nearby, asking if they were good/needed anything. She only passed by my table and dropped napkins and walked away. Saturday me and a friend went to Applebee's for dinner. I ordered the 8 oz sirloin steak and my friend ordered the 6 oz sirloin. Then our server said if we both got 8 oz sirloins with the two for $25 deal it would be cheaper and we each get to add a side! My friend just called me and noticed on his receipt that we were upcharged for having steaks? It came out at two for $36! Went to ask them why the $5.50 overcharge on receipt's and manager told me steak was a $5 upgrade and there was nothing they could do. So I told them they to go kick rocks and they have just lost 2 costumers for life! I will be telling my friends and family. I always keep my promise's and be taking my money elsewhere! To be fair the food was good and service just fair, but servers were swamped and this is the only reason I gave 2 stars. Receipt is split for my half. There is always as a good alternative nearby. read more

First off let me say this as soon as you walk in it's welcoming our server were really nice ! I love their 2/25 my boyfriend & I upgraded to the chicken Parmesan & he got the bourbon chicken ! Then we got the spinach & artichoke dip ! & my daughter got the kids meal cheese burger & fries for our appetizers we got the trio deal ! First of all I want to acknowledge Susie the bartender who said hi to me and said I will be right there. I had just left the other Applebees after waiting at the bar for 7 minutes without any acknowledgment. They were too busy with only 4 customers at the bar. But back to the good Applebees on meridian by the Walmart Susie had 10 customers and was able to get my order in. It was a good atmosphere and pretty busy at 9:30 pm on a Monday. I gave it a one star each for our waitress and food , she was attentive, kind and food was good. The manager named Stacy (I asked for her name) that was walking around checking on tables and asking how people were walked to every table but the table with people of culture, there was an asian family and another cultures table that she skipped and didn't ask how they were doing. We sat and watched her to make sure this was accurate and it was. I'm Hispanic and my boyfriend is black. She literally walked past our table and looked the other way. I waited to see if she would say anything to us as she did to the other tables and she didn't. Then she walked to other tables and greeted new people that sat down. All the tables she went to, the people were white. I hate to see this type of behavior from a manager and it's appalling. She shouldn't work in this type of business where you have to deal with all kinds of people. it was obvious that she purposefully didn't greet or ask how we were doing, she didn't care. If the whole experience was great from the time we sat down to the time we left, I definitely would've given more stars. This was not a great experience and it made me feel disregarded. She needs some major training on making everyone feel welcomed from the time customers come in to the time that they leave. It was very selective on how she did this and I will not return. read more

I places an order for pickup and my total was $29.25 and the waiter added his own tip to my order. I thought it was strange that I wasn't given an option to tip, but the sun was reflecting off the screen and he said to press the green button so I did without being able to see the screen clearly. I then got a notification from my bank saying that I was charged $36.27. When I got home I checked my account and they did indeed overcharge me. I called the restaurant to ask why and the manager said that I tipped 20%, and I told her that I didn't have a chance to tip anything at all. She called me a liar and I asked her to check the video to see and she refused. I told her what they did was fraud and at that point she offered to return the tip amount. I have no problem leaving a tip, but not when it is taken fraudulently. read more

Having a child who utilizes a wheelchair, we are not liking it because of the fact that there is very little room for someone in a wheelchair. Here is the however... Management was really nice, they touched the table, Joseph was really friendly and did a good job touching the table too. Went there for Mother's Day a couple days early since that was the only day schedules worked out. We got there well before the dinner rush but got our food over an hour and a half later. First, we ordered an appetizer from what we understood by the waiter was part of the free appetizer when you sign up. It wasn't! Took over 45 minutes to get it. People who came after we ordered were getting their food faster. We were there for over 2 hours due to how long we waited for food. What was worse, we had to wait to get silverware in order to eat our steak, since we did not get it when we were seated. I am giving a 2 star, instead of a 1 star m, ONLY because the manager tried to make things right. Definitely not a Happy Mother's Day for me :( should have gone to the other place down the road!!! read more

Service, ambiance and food all on point. Tried the new Bacon Ranch Crispy Chicken sandwich. Came with crispy bacon, pickles,, tomato slice and fresh crispy shredded lettuce. The chicken breast was huge and larger than the bun. Chicken was so crispy and done to perfection. Dug in before taking a picture. Took half of it home for snack later. We arrived to pick up our carside pick-up and they shoved everything into one bag. 3 large boxes and a soup. The soup was on top. When they handed us the bag the soup was half empty and spilled all over the contents of the bag. The manager Bill walked out with absolutely zero customer service skills. Just walked up to the window didn't say a word. We gave him the soup and told him it had spilled and instantly blamed us for the spillage. Great service, great food, and great atmosphere. I really enjoy the server promoting deals to save the customer money. I ordered a burger that was a part of the big deal promotion, she suggested I do that to save money. This was very much appreciated. The food is always good, service is always quick and with a smile. We walk into the restaurant and the hostess notices me assisting my elderly mom because she struggles to walk more and more these days and the hostess opens the door and holds it for us. She was very nice and polite and we appreciated the help. We get to our table and our server was Victoria and she is probably the best server I have ever had. She was super friendly, super attentive and very helpful with her knowledge of the menu. The food was great, and I'll admit I haven't been to Applebees in years and it blew me away how well run this restaurant is. Kudos to the manager who I saw was present and out on the floor helping his team and their guests. I hate going to restaurants these days. I ate here with a friend for lunch today. I ordered the chicken fajita wrap. It was actually delicious! The only thing that could've been better about this lunch was the service it wasn't that busy and we had to wait a few minutes for them to clean a table. The hostess seemed annoyed. Our server was friendly enough, but not very attentive. Overall, I did not have high expectations for eating here, but the food definitely exceeded! read more

Terrible service and quality of food. Carside order was supposed to be ready @6:15. I arrived at 6:20. Employee never came out and after waiting 20 minutes for either my food or an employee to come out so I went in. Had to wait another 15 minutes for my togo order to be brought to me. There were dashers in there waiting and they all agreed that this is the slowest place and the food is always lukewarm warm at best. The entire time I was waiting inside the manager was standing next to the bar watching the football game. Maybe he should have been back in the kitchen trying to figure out why they were so slow instead of watching the game. I've been there numerous times and have been going back thinking that they'll get better but they never do. Same thing each time. I'm done going there. Will never go back. read more

I've been here twice recently with less than great experiences. The first time I was shocked by the complete lack of social awareness by the hostesses. There was foul language in front of us with young children, then when asked by the manager to bus some tables they rudely made snide comments once that manager was out of earshot. The most recent experience was with my mom. The waitress was nice enough, but fairly nonexistent. The drink options were scarce. They were out of lemonades, out of flavor options, and out of all but 3 soda selections. They poured the wrong beverage for my mom so the manager got her the correct drink. Our wings came out cold and so we sent them back. They weren't served until we were about done with our entrees. Then they showed up as an additional charge on our bill. Thankfully after speaking with the manager, the issue was resolved. For the prices you pay for a restaurant experience, I'd say take your wallet to another establishment! read more

We were at Applebee's an hour ago a group of about 8 kids were running around and doing cartwheels and backflips in our area while we were eating as paying customers the whole atmosphere was unacceptable We ask for a manager (Mike) with suspenders on best I can describe him told us they are just kids he did not care that those of us that had to sit by that were annoyed we will never go back there again he needs to do better in his customer service because he has none it's his job to put a stop to that he's the supervisor I will tell every one I know about tonight's experience and how he handled it read more

How does that even come close to passing the common sense test as a large consumer base in one state could buy out all your passes...they should've been sent to selective stores based on GDP, consumer density, and/or helping that particular area thrive or survive. The atmosphere is chill, the food has always been good and the drinks are on point. The servers have always been nice and attentive. Ordered the 2 for $30. I got the mozzarella sticks for appetizer and chicken, shrimp bourbon plate( sauce was dry and salty. Portion was decent if your not that hungry ) and 2nd entrée was the Rib -let and fries plate. I ordered the honey bbq sauce and the ribs were very dry . You get three small rib-let's that's dry and smidge of sauce. The passion lemonade was my favorite. Same local sports decor that's dimmed and clean. The sweet girl said they had made a mistake and were starting my order now. 5:35 she brought out what she thought was my order, a chicken plate. Not my order. She apologized and went back in to look for my order. 5:49 she finally brought out my almost correct order. She told me the manager gave me free fries and would send me an email with something free. So extremely disappointed in our experience tonight. We went to try their new Christmas drinks but I ordered something else when I wasn't getting help to figure the drinks out. The computer system only had pictures and titles but no description. Then when we got our first drink and the glass was dirty, green stuff went on it. Next came the food and instead of putting it in front of my friend she set it at the end of the bar. When I picked it up I could feel the dry caked food on the bottom. The manager actually asked IF we wanted the food remade after seeing how dirty the plate was and us telling her both our glasses were as well. My drink was made incorrectly and again instead of given to me set at the seat away from me. Lastly after we waited for awhile we got our bill and we were double charged for the food.
