Myself and my wife decided to grab dinner at your establishment. We placed our order including a medium rare steak. The steak came out with a tad of pink which for a $28.99 steak is not acceptable. I advised the server of the issue and after about 15 minutes a manager brought out another steak. When the steak was cut it was welldone not pink/rare at all. I advised the manager that I no longer wanted a steak. Mind you he brought me the new steak with no utensils to dine with. My wife and myself had no utensils to eat any of our apps or anything with. At the start we had one fork then were left at one point with 1 knife and no fork. When the manager took the 2nd steak back he said he understood that I didn't wish to order a 3rd and he literally took the steak and left. He didnt apologize for the multiple inconveniences or ask if I wanted anything else. A long period past to which we had to hunt down someone from the back to please get us utensils. Our server La' Shyia had an attitude from start to finish. When she came back to our table a long while later I asked if there was another manager that I could speak to and she told me not until tomorrow morning. This was the worst dining experience I've had in long time. I usually go to the Bensalem location for a quick bite. I decided to just go to the Roosevelt location and was reminded why I drive the extra 25 minutes to Bensalem. What in the world makes the server and mangement think they can treat customers this way? How do you not try to fix errors on your end? How do you leave customer with no entree to eat because you didn't (manager) even ask if I wanted a different item. You leave and never returned. How do you seat patrons bring out apps and not give a proper place setting of fork/knife to each person?! You leave them with food getting cold and nothing to eat with? Neighborhood restaurant that we frequent often. Only hesitation about is the kitchen is not consistent with steak temps and we have had to send back, usually for being overdone. Great choices on menu and can always find something craving. The drink specials are REALLY good and they feature at least 2 new ones a month. Always worth checking out. Applebee's is one of our go-to places in NE Philly. We love that they are opened late! My burger was very tasty but the fries could have been crispier, but that's a personal preference. My daughter enjoyed her salmon, as well. The mozzarella sticks were a great deal at .50 each, and they came out hot and stretchy! The staff were nice and helpful as usual. I went with my sister and niece for lunch before shopping and decided on the Tex Mex salad with Shrimp - it was very tasty, and there was plenty leftover for dinner the next day. We all enjoyed the appetizer combo - included all of our favorites for sure. My family seemed to enjoy their meals, too. Our waitress was very pleasant and very helpful throughout our meal. I used to go to Applebees all the time with my mom growing up. It was a while since I last went so I decided to try after seeing all the renovations throughout the years. The place was pretty empty so I wasn't sure what to expect but no complaints! The blackened Cajun salmon was good! I enjoyed the flavor. The garlic parm wings had a reallly good buttery sauce (I ended up dipping my broccoli in it, soooo good) the spinach and artichoke dip is a classic, had to order it. Let me be transparent here...I'm not usually a fan of Applebee's. It's just not usually what I want in a meal. That said, when it's you and three hungry girls wearing cleats and carrying field hockey stick you do as you're told. We stopped in at this Applebee's after my daughter and her teammates had been at a field hockey camp and they wanted FOOD. We started with nachos and onion rings and I don't think the girls even tasted them. Three of us ordered burgers with fries and one ordered a chicken Caesar salad and a chicken quesadilla (we ended up splitting that). Our meals were all actually pretty good, but the service was really slow (waitress was nice, but the food took too long to come out). So I didn't feel like cooking this evening, so my husband and I decided to go to Applebee's for dinner. Should have known it wasn't going to go well, when we were seated at a dirty table. We had the boneless wings appetizes which were cold and overcooked. I had the 4 cheese Mac and cheese with chicken tenders the 4 cheese Mac and cheese was extremely watery and the chicken fingers were overcooked and the dish was cold. I just ordered my first takeout from this location and I was disappointed. I did not choose to add a tip right away because I wanted to see how my order would turn out. I'd chosen to pick it up myself curbside and it arrived late, there were no napkins and the tops of the takeout trays weren't even secured. I don't understand why someone would think that they're entitled to a tip, I end up giving him a $4 tip for what!.. Bringing my food to my car late?? I didn't leave a tip, I don't want the employee to ask me to sign my credit slip, when I've already paid online. Part of the reason I pay online, is so I can just grab my food and go and not be put on the spot for a tip. I feel as though if a server wants to tip, he has to earn that tip and not just bring the food out to me but make sure I have my napkins. Make sure everything is in the bag because I always have to check before I pull off and that's a pain and you don't wanna have to come all the way back or just do without it.. after you've tipped. No server what delivery person should expect to get tipped for something that they have not done yet. So... the service here was great. The waitress was very nice, got our orders in correctly for the most part, food came out fast, anything we wanted she brought over. Checked in constantly. The manager also came by to check in. I was with a group of 7 and I ordered the salmon with green beans and mashed potatoes. I got salmon, broccoli and mashed potatoes. No biggie, I love broccoli. The salmon taste like it swam through Death Valley before landing on my plate. It was dry. Like dry dryyyyyy! Worst salmon I've had. I also got a Patron margarita which was okay. Applebees has always been a go to for me but this one in particular has become a no for me. We came in as a party of 3 and we're seated right away but with no menus. It took about 5 minutes for me to ask the hostess for menus and she was apologetic which i appreciated. Finally after 15-20 minutes of being seated we finally we greeted by the waitress who only was ready to place our drinks. When we tried putting in our apps and meals she said she needed some time came back 10-15 mins later (over 30 mins being seated) gave us our drinks and took our orders for food.. they were a tad busy but to wait 15-20 to order drinks and then wait again to order food was ridiculous. Its a pretty good place. Food is good to a certain degree. Like the ribs were pretty good but the pasta is a lil bland. The noodles and shrimp was on top but all the sauce, seasoning and flavor was on the bottom. The fries aren't crispy but pretty good anyway. Drinks are delicious and so are the desserts. The staff is pretty nice but you can tell they hate there jobs. Their face says it all. Lmfao The alcholic beverages are pretty good but will creep up on you if your not careful.
