The service is awful. Takes too long for drinks .. wrong drink made. Wrong food delivered to our table . Everyone ate except one of us. Had to wait for the correct order to be made . Only Two Riblets for the platter usually 4 .so we took it home to go. In experience waiters and bartender. Manager never even apologized. Ok I am not a big fan of chain restaurants at all. But when a review is a four-star review, regardless of being a chain restaurant, it gets it. Jenna was our waitress. She was friendly and prompt. She immediately took our drink orders and brought them out immediately as well. It was service with a smile for sure. My fiancé doesn't like too many civilians but he enjoyed the service here at Applebee's. Our party of four definitely enjoyed our meals. The fiancé ordered Clubhouse Grill and loved it. He states that it has been a while since he ordered a sandwich and had it come out just the way he liked it. My aunt & I both ordered the Napa Chicken & Portobellos dish and it was O-M-G. I loved the roasted potatoes and the chicken was cooked to perfection. My uncle ordered Zesty Roma Chicken & Shrimp and it came out sizzling hot, literally. The service was excellent from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Even the waitress who brought out the food was pleasant. The only negative point is the music selection. It was just not pleasant at all. We will definitely be returning here and getting some grub. You can never go wrong with a place that makes you feel like the service warranted a great tip. I understand how hard it's been to run a business lately. I'm not a person who lashes out at servers or gets belligerent or impatient for no good reason. This is why when I ordered carry out from this location a while back and they were more than 30 minutes late to have a salad prepared for a carry out order I overlooked it. No comment. No review. Figured it was Covid staffing related. But tonight I ordered directly through their website for delivery. Turned out they contracted through Door Dash. Still no biggie, I've Door Dashed and had plenty of positive experiences. I'm sorry to say, that wasn't my experience tonight and not due to any fault of the Dasher who is not allowed to open or check orders. We'd placed an order for ribs, bourbon chicken and steak, chicken tenders, a couple of appetizers, and a couple of desserts. The total was over $100. The Dasher was super great about texting us to let us know when she received the order, when she was on her way, and when she got here. In fact, the food was still nice and hot thanks to her care. She handed off the food and left. When I started unpacking I became concerned that our desserts which had Ice cream may have been poorly packed with hot food on top, but quickly came to the realization that they were missing altogether. I quickly messaged my dasher to make sure she hadn't just forgotten to give them, but she informed me that she was so sorry and that she gave me everything Applebees gave her. She also apologized that there was no tangible way she was able to check orders because she was not able to break seals on her orders. She encouraged me to call Door Dash or Applebees but also advised she was on her way to her next delivery. So I called Applebees since the order was placed on their site. A young lady answered pretty quickly, asked what my order was and what was missing and then said that if my dasher was still at my home I could just send them back. When I told her that option wasn't available (I mean, really...do you open an order that sized on the driveway with your dasher hovering before you let them go? No? Me, either.) she said that I could come down to their location and pick it up. Hmm, let's think... we paid extra for a delivery service to bring our order to us for a reason otherwise we would've just ordered for carry out, right? Those services aren't exactly cheap. When I told her that wasn't a feasible option she told me (sounding very breezy and unconcerned, not to mention unapologetic) that I'd have to call Door Dash. Wanting to make sure I had things straight, I summarized. "So even though I ordered directly through your website and not Door Dash's and the mistake was on your end because YOU didn't check the order and didn't give our Dasher the full order and they're not able to check the order because it has to stay sealed, you're making this Door Dash's problem?" At that point she said she would check with her manager. As a manager myself, if my employee had come to me with this concern and let me know the customer was escalating, I would've taken ownership of the problem and coached my employee afterward. Instead, the manager simply told the employee to confirm that, yes, despite the fact that she screwed up when she packed the order or in her words, "yeah, sorry about that. I overlooked part of the order, but there's nothing I can do" my only options were to drive all the way out to them and pick up the order they forgot or call Door Dash. Door Dash was empathetic and understanding. They apologized and advised since the order had been made directly through the Applebees website they offered a liaison to call and try to either get the order remade and redelivered or, if Applebees refused, to get us a refund for the missing items. Shocker... Despite wanting our items, we were forced to settle for a refund. The ONLY reason they're even getting as high as 2 stars is because our entrees tasted good. The service was beyond deplorable in a time where most people are working overtime to give their best. Shame. Despite their catchy new jingle, they're not worth trying again. read more

Honestly we are from WA state and absolutely love our neighborhood Applebees at home. THIS. IS. NOT. IT. This place is so gross and we will NEVER be back. Thank goodness this location is across the US from us. It is so so dirty and everything is sticky. Our napkins were sticking to the table and when we sat down our clothes stuck to the benches. I took my two little kids here instant regret. I asked if we could get the table cleaned and this girl comes over with water and napkins... then goes to spray the sticky bench, wipe it, THEN spray our table and use the same napkin to wipe the water off the table so now not only is the table still sticky we now have bench juice where everyone sits with their bottoms, puts their feet on, and kids step with shoes on our table. FANTASTIC. I ask another employee for a spray bottle and get the thick hand napkins from the restroom. Ended up wiping down my own table and the water they gave in the spray bottle still didn't help. I then went to the car and got my hand sanitizer and my new yellow microfiber cloth that I keep for emergency child spills in the car and wiped everything down thoroughly! What a waste of time and effort.. Because guess what, the food was garbage.. officially done! going to go home and make some soup and call it a night. All in all, very very dirty!! This place needs a hazmat team to come clean everything! And they need a new chef asap! read more

toward the end of may, 2022, i visited this restaurant to have dinner with a friend. the service was good and my bourbon street steak was delicious!! i forgot to get my oreo shake with whip cream on the top, which i was bummed about! our server's name was "jess", most likely short for jessica. ok, here is the sad and awful part: i had used a visa business card that i hadn't used in months!! the very next day i received a text message notification from chase bank's fraud dept that they had declined a charge and asked if i had attempted to use it. of course i hadn't and replied "no". this triggered chase to cancel my card immediately and i was issued a new one. now, i don't know about you, but i do not believe in coincidences. a friend of mine is also a server but in sarasota and not with an applebee's chain restaurant. i reached out to her to get her opinion and advice. she said that she's seen incidences like this happen before. in her opinion she said that the server most likely took a picture of my card with her phone...and the rest is history. with grave concern i reached out to applebee's manager, dennis, and told him about the experience. he basically shrugged it off and said that there's really nothing that he could do for me. my server friend advised me to call applebee's corporate office, which i immediately did. they started an official case for me and assigned a case number, etc. a few days later i received a call from rhonda, another manager at the north port applebee's on 41. she was definitely more wanting to help me and said that she would have a talk with "jess", show her my receipt, ask her if she knew anything about my order, and watch her body language. she would then get back with me. this was last week. so far, i have not heard back at all. from reading about my experience there i am not saying this or that -- i will let the readers of this post come to their own conclusions! i am just relaying my experiences! read more

Literally the worst place to eat, I like Applebee's food they are consistant. But this particular place just can't get literally ANY ORDER CORRECT. I've ordered from DoorDash and Grubhub and my order has been late, canceled, messed up, missing items, charged for food I never received, hot food show up cold or undercooked, cold food at room temp or higher from sitting out too long. This places staff inside the restaurant is entitled, snobby, and down right rude. Beside a few servers we have had the waiters here are slow, incompetent, the kitchen staff doesn't know how to properly wash dishes or cook food. I could probably walk to any restaurant in a 5 miles radius, sit down, have a full meal, use the facilities and walk home before this Gawd damn Applebees figures out how to get an order correct and out in a timely manner for once. read more
