Our food wasn't very good our waitress was not very attentive she hardly came to the table to ask us questions

Appetizers are my favorite choices. Great selection of food and drinks. Always clean. Always great servers.

The service all around was amazing our waitress was very polite and our food came out promptly. The hostess was also very friendly and kind. She made us feel welcomed as soon as we stepped in the restaurant. Our hostess was the one with blonde hair she was very helpful and we will definitely be revisiting! 11/10 service. read more

Ordered strip steak dinner. Steak terrible. Ordered side of green beans, they dumped the vegetable on the plate right next to the steak so it was smothered in green bean juice. Another person ordered a cheeseburger, tasted like old ground beef, not good. Side order was wrong item. Food cold. Table and service items on table dirty and sticky. Server 2 out of 10. food has really went downhill reached out to management and they said they were going to send some coupon cards which I was very appreciative of his response and I never received them after providing an address, reached back out and it has never happened. So along with poor food it has also included poor management. This was my go to restaurant and haven't been back since this has all happened and will not go back to this restaurant. read more

Everything is relative.. and in Muscatine, IA, this Applebees may be your best best for consistent service and food. I sat at the bar and was helped immediately. I ordered a steak, what a terrible cut of meat! it was fatty and not tasty. Where were the mushrooms? 2 slices were buried in all the onions. Blah! And the salad was dry with little dressing and not like the picture. But the waitress was nice, hence the 2 stars. read more

One start rating is even too gen. I ordered a fiesta lime chicken that had a cooked fly in. Nasty !!!!! This tells me that there are a lot of flies around while cooking. Manager tried to give me 2-$10 coupon but I am not interested in a free meal. I want to make sure I am eating tasty and clean food. read more

When everything else in Muscatine is closed because of a blizzard, you can count on Applebee's to be open. The menu has been revamped, so it's slightly more upscale than it was and there are plenty of menu options. Service can be a bit slow, but that's because they're making up for all the other restaurants closing early. Applebee's is what it is and for that, 4 stars. read more

Standard Applebees. This is your standard neighborhood Applebees. The McDonalds of sit down restaurants. There isn't anything particularly bad about this one. They do have a decent happy hour, somewhat friendly and efficient staff, and the food is edible. As you will find in many similar restaurants the staff likes to take it easy, eat their own meals and converse with friends of the staff and non staff. While eating at the bar I watched about 10 different workers sit down at a table behind me and scarf down dinners. Overall, its a somewhat safe bet in a town filled with things you have probably never heard of. Also conveniently located next door to my hotel. read more

My first time in an Applebee's. Ordered the sirloin with parmesan shrimp. Fantastic! Steak cooked perfectly. Garlic green beans with bacon were to die for. I will definitely be back to Applebee's. read more

I have been super disappointed our last couple trips here that we very likely won't return. On 1 occasion my New York strip steak was completely gristle & fat throughout then another time my pasta dish was more like soup bathing in thin nasty sauce where I couldn't even see the pasta. read more

Chad is a real pro - seriously. Explained the offerings and beers on tap while salting my coaster so it did not keep sticking to my glass. He said it was "an old bartender's trick." Never seen that before and I have seen too many old bartenders. Nice touch with real friendly service. read more

It's a great neighborhood bar and grill since there's not a whole lot of options in the area. There are a lot of regulars who come here and hang out at the bar, order their decent priced lunch menu and have a beer or two. read more

Had dinner there Friday and can't wait to go back. Food was the best, seated right away with wait staff to great us, our waiter came and took our order and was very friendly and well versed of the menu to answer any of our questions. He checked on us numerous times. The prices are reasonable for what you get. Establishment very clean.Would definitely recommend going to anyone. This by far was the worse bartender of any Applebee's I've been too. I waited for about 15 minutes to get a drink, then about 10 minutes for him to come back to take an order to find the advertised special should have been taken down a day or two ago, I commented on his service he quickly snapped back he was doing 5 peoples jobs. Then he told the store manager he had disgruntled customers and the manager shrugged shoulders and whispered something. Now I could care less about the special nor would have I even taken them for free if they offered but I do expect service at dinner so I can be in and out. This guy should be either trained so he is able to pick up the pace or something. At $4-6 per beer I'd be pouring them as fast as I could. Never the less just disappointed in the poor service. The food quality is what you would expect at Applebee's but I think you go to Applebee's with that in mind. I've had this bartender couple times and while very courteous usually he just don't get around fast enough. If I go back I will evaluate where he is working to ensure i avoid his section. Not many choices in this town which is lucky for them. read more

I was somewhat disappointed. My bread sticks were cold and dry. For the price of my meal I expected better service from the waitstaff. Even after having pushed my plates to the end of the table, the waitstaff didn't seem to get it (back and fourth and no clearing). Mgmt needs to retrain some of it's waitstaff as well as cooks. The good thing is the cocktails and drinks made up for it. :) read more
