We stoped in for a St Patrick's day kids free quick bite to eat. The service was great plenty of ppl asking if we needed anything. The food was pretty tasty as well, wife had burger and I had the Miami. We Could have ate 4 orders of the shrimp!! read more

Initially, the waitress exhibited an assertive approach regarding our order, yet the food service was notably slow. It is peculiar that the restaurant was out of the macaroni dish, as there was no prior notification of this shortage, which would have influenced our decision to remain. Additionally, all the food served was unacceptably cold. We ordered two strawberry lemonades, which took an excessive amount of time to arrive. Regrettably, this will be my final visit to this establishment. read more

We were there last Friday afternoon. This was our first time in the Bettendorf location. Fish and Chips and the Cali Avo chicken salad was very good. What impressed us the most was the waitress. Jade greeted us with a smile, she was friendly, she checked on us and made our experience there pleasant. We definitely recommend the Barrel House, hopefully you will be lucky and have Jade as your waitress. read more

I didn't realize this place was a chain and I met someone coming from Iowa City that was visiting Davenport. Since then. I've seen it's a chain, but the food was pretty darn good and even though it's the same price as as the yard house and reminded me very similar of high-end processed gourmet bar food with Gastropub vibes and prices. read more

Food was amazing, Morgan was great, everyone was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. Lots of TVs and full bar, slightly limited draft menu. read more

Barrel House was just ok, visited on a Thursday at 4:00 pm to get dinner prior to a game. We ordered right away and took 45 minutes for food to arrive. When it did some dishes had been sitting for awhile under lights as it dried out. The atmosphere was good but would classify as a run of the mill place for dinner. read more

Walked in and there were zero employees present. It's hot outside, but it had to be about 80 degrees in there. No sound in tvs and no music. You could hear a pin drop. What an awesome experience. I waited several minutes at the bar. No bartender in sight. I turned around and there were no wait staff to be spoken of. I left. No sitting in another restaurant close by with cold ac, cold beer, music, and plenty of patrons. Sad experience for my first time. read more

I went to the Barrel House with some friends. It took a few minutes before we saw any employee. Once seated, we had a good server. She was kind and that day was her 4th day, so understandably, she didn't know about the menu and substitutions and such but she quickly found out. She frequently checked back on our table. Food was prepared and served hot. Everyone said their meal was tasty. The prices are average. Decor is average but a big plus was the cleanliness. Note: There is a 3% additional charge for paying with a credit card. So... kind of a generic place but good for a beer and a decent meal. read more

My boyfriend and I went out to dinner at Barrel House. They had great outdoor seating next to a firepit or not. Great menu! More of an upscale restaurant but not white tablecloth fancy. Our waitress was very kind and helpful...our glasses never went empty. I just loved the atmosphere at Barrel House. A definite Awesome place to stop with Great food and drinks! read more

Not a bad spot. Parking was easy and getting a table at the bar was easy as well. We sat at the bar and just had a few beverages. The place is a bit more modern than what you typically find in the area. Upbeat and bright. The food looked very good. We already had dinner so just had the beverages. As far as eye candy, yes it was more hit than miss at least in the bar area on this particular Saturday evening. So I do recommend and would visit again. read more

We took a party of 22 there for a quick post graduation celebration. The waitstaff was fantastic and nailed every order, including a few appetizers. The food was very good, as were the drinks. The staff kept our glasses full and quickly cleared any dishes out of our way. We called ahead to arrange a table and they were super accommodating! read more

love their chicken nachos! our server was the best! Eating outside on their patio is my favorite place!

morgan was amazing we love love love her she was so nice and polite and made my night with her conversation totally should give her a raise!

The food is always good. The 2am Burger is absolutely delicious. The place is always clean and tidy. The server was very proficient and friendly. OK...maybe the music was just slightly too loud but if that is the worst thing I can think of, I'll take it. Never had a poor experience at this place. read more

If you're looking for a great dining experience - look no further. We decided to give Barrel House a try even though it's a busy Saturday night. We wanted to stay in and have the meal delivered - I'll tell you Barrel House goes above and beyond. From the moment you order, the process is simple and the options are delish. The restaurant offers a text service that you can track progress. Our order arrived earlier than the expected time - blew our minds. The door dash agent was so friendly and nice. The meals were all labeled and in their proper containers. Food was perfect, from the sides to the pizza and even the dessert. If you're a foodie, you've got to try the bomb cake. Highly recommended! read more

I have never had an issue at any barrel house previously but last night was definitely an exception. The manager reached out to me timely to resolve the issue. Hopefully I will be returning to this location and continue to not have poor customer service going forward. I appreciate him reaching out timely to help rectify the situation. read more

I was in Iowa from Chicago on a work trip. During my work trips I try to support local restaurants in the area. I looked on yelp to help me make a decision and I decided to check out Barrel House. When I went, there were only about 4 or 5 people in the whole restaurant and I sat at the bar. The bartender was new, but the other bartender that was there was helping but they were all having a side conversation the whole time I was sitting there and I didn't get served on as much as I should have. The food was okay. The salmon wasn't over cooked but it was close. The ambiance was a sports bar but it wasn't anything special. The whole experience was just okay. But the service along was lackluster to the point I wouldn't want to come back. read more

The last two times we have tried to eat here have been awful! Last time, we waited an hour for our food. Tonight we waited a hour 20 (the restaurant was wayyy less than 1/2 full) from the time we ordered before we cut our losses, paid for our drinks and left. The staff was rude, although our server was nice, the two times he came to check on us he told us it was almost ready and we sat for another 25 mins before we decided to leave. The one time I ate here I thought the food was just okay. Definitely not worth trying to come here again. read more

We haven't been to this place in a while. The food selection was ok, typical burgers and sandwiches. I would say the food rated 3 to 4, prices are high for the quality of food. The place definitely needs a good cleaning. I went to the restroom and passed a rug that looked like someone had vomited on it. Floors looked greasy, and the place smelt stale. Don't think I will be returning. I would have thought the manager sitting around would be busy cleaning or something. read more

Like I'm sorry but it's 2023 now things have changed and you can't just assume someones gender anymore. She hurt my feelings and I was honestly a little angry for the rest of the night. Terrible service here took very long just got a burger and some fries. Burger comes out completely wrong and messed up my order. Great as always! Our waitress Kaile is THE best!!! She is always very friendly and very helpful with menu and drinks!

Re-reviewing after trying this out a second time. Much busier tonight - which was a surprise with the snow. We tried the jalapeño dip, which I thought was excellent. Husband got a beer and I got the peach margarita, which was good. We were quick to get served. Definitely better experience than the last time. Looks like maybe new staff as well, which I think has probably improved the situation. read more

We stopped in for a Saturday afternoon late lunch. It wasn't very busy, so we sat at the bar. The bartender we rarely here. Not sure where she kept going. Best lunch (Chicken Salad sandwich) ever! Whenever there's chicken salad sandwich on the menu, I always go for it in search of the best one out there. This may very well be it. I've had many and of all the ones I've had, this truly is simply the best. Should I find another one better, I will gladly review and post. Until then, this is it. The creaminess of the dressing is well made. The chicken chunks, perfectly sized. The nuts mixed in -- walnuts I think -- just the right amount. The bread is toasted perfectly. Everything about this sandwich is perfectly done. If only I lived close enough... And yes, the other important thing, the price for the lunch combo -- half sandwich, soup or salad, and another side -- is as perfect as everything else. Superb! read more

The service was very slow and the server didn't listen to us. I had to ask for silverware multiple times. I asked when we sat down and again when they brought the food. The girl brought the food told me I would have to ask our server and then she walked away. The food was not good, the burger tasted like they went Walmart and bought the cheapest box of frozen patties and that's what they used. read more

Great food and service last night. Will be eating here again very soon. Enjoy bringing my family here as well.

The Barrel House was an after party location for the local roller derby league in the Quad Cities. Good first impressions as it looks a clean and typical sports bar with plenty of tables, high and low top. We were in a corner since we had a bigger group. Looking at the menu, you can get burgers, sandwiches, quesadillas, salads, and plenty of deep fried goodies. I stuck to my liquid diet that night and was impressed with their craft beer selection. They specifically had a local beer list which was nice I'm an outer towner from Wisconsin. Lucky me, I tasted some fantastic Iowa beers. The one thing that put me off was the service. A server was great with taking orders, she checked on us plenty of times. We got to a point in the night when some people were leaving and others (me) were not. Someone from my table asked for their bill and the server asked if we all wanted our bills. I said no, I was planning on staying for a while. The server still brings me a bill for the two beers that I had. As our group was getting smaller we condensed to a different table. With the same server she asks if I wanted another beer, and I did order two more. I guess I don't understand her thought process of closing on my tab and then opening another one. Who knows, it will always be a mystery. read more

We visited The Barrel House today for lunch. It has always been one of our favorite spots, but things have really gone downhill. Service was terrible. It took 2 hours to eat lunch. An hour and a half after ordering, we finally got our food. Our server was nowhere to be found most of the time. Never once apologized for the wait or even addressed it, which tells me it is a normal occurrence.Tables around us were frustrated as well. The food wasn't bad. Everyone enjoyed their food. My salad was wrong, but i did not have another 2 hours to send it back and wait. It ended up being okay. The food isnt the issue, its poor service and long wait times. If you have an entire afternoon to dedicate to lunch, this is the place for you. I don't think we will be back. read more
